Go for what you WANT (not what you think you’ll get)

Oh guys, these past two weeks have been a whirlwind of activity! I had a much needed, mini retreat, receivedan amazing session with a medium, and walked away from the opportunity of a lifetime. Yea…it seems like I’m preparing for the best year of my life!

go for it

Last week the Universe presented me with a curveball. I opened the door to an opportunity and it turned out to be another, HUGE opportunity. It was bigger than anything I’ve ever encountered in my whole life. It left me truly shaken. A lot...

Walking away from the everyday

Hey guys! So I recently decided to take a little break from my every day reality. I was feeling almost stuck in a rut because I was doing the same thing over and over; work on my business, help my mom with her business, help take care of my grandmother, rinse and repeat. The same routine every day. It’s been such a challenging year, particularly these past few months spent in NYC, and I just needed to do something almost drastic. I needed to SHAKE things up, to get out of that cycle and open...

I have NO TIME for my business

One of my Instagram Bootcamp participants recently mentioned she has been very busy, and has had no time to catch up with the lessons. The best thing about Instagram is that it’s free marketing for your business; it just takes a little effort to build up the skills required to master it. But it’ll be worth it because? No marketing budget required. So if someone told you, for 5-10 minutes per day of time, you can master using Instagram, in order to promote your products and services FOR FREE, w...

The Queen of Instagram – Owning It!

Well it’s official! I’ve been crowned the Queen of Instagram! One of my subscribers told me she called me that and thought I should use it as part of my brand. I felt super honored and also surprised. I never really thought of myself a queen of anything. A small part of me also feels inadequate and undeserving of the title. Am I truly worthy? Can I actually call myself the Queen of Instagram? I think so…

And so I did! I decided to go with the decision which scared me. I decided to step outsi...

Stop OBSESSING over how many Followers you have

I was guilty of obsessing over my followerswhen I first started promoting my business on social media, especiallywith Instagram. I would be checking the numbers every time someone new followed me. Of course I’d be SO EXCITED at first. BUT THEN…

followers on instagram

“Oh no, someone unfollowed me”.

Thenyou’d start feeling all weird inside and going over what you could’ve possibly done wrong to turn someone off from following you. Listen, it’s not you. Or actually it could be you, but either way, why should you ca...

How to start a Blog

Hello everyone! One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is “how do I start a blog”? The interesting thing is that it honestly blows my mind when people ask. I guess because I’ve been blogging for so long I know how easy and simple it is to start a blog; the tricky part is developing and maintaining it. But for now let’s focus on the first step – how to start a blog.

how to start a blog

To start your blog, you need to choose a website to have it on. There are many different types of platforms out th...

How to use Instagram as a Micro-Blog

Hello everyone! I’m back with another super useful tip for business owners and bloggers alike. If you’re intimidated by traditional blogging (such as seen here), then I want you to consider using Instagram as a “micro-blogging” tool.

insta_micro_blog

First, what is micro-blogging? Very simply it’s an easier way to blog. Rather than trying to figure out how to unite all of your thoughts into “proper” and cohesive text, why not consider that your status updates and posts can be considered like blog posts? I th...

Jumpstart your Business with WordPress

I’ve been using WordPress on and off since 2012. I started a free blog with WordPress(.com), but felt it didn’t give me the flexibility to fully customize my page. I upgraded to a self-hosted blog on WordPress(.org) in 2013, but was so confused by all of the features, so I let that one go. Thankfully I found a wonderful, step-by-step tutorial (below) which helped me understand how to use WP, and the rest is history! The site you’re on now is on WP; feel free to browse to see all I’ve created...

Upgrade your Freelance on Fiverr

Hey guys! I’m BAAACK!! I took a brief “formal blogging” hiatus and focused more on my “micro-blogging” via Instagram (which, feel free to check me out @katherinehiraldo). Now we’re in September and exactly 4 months away from the new year!

I am shifting gears to focus more on providing you all with tools and information to continue to build your streams of income. Many of you have asked me about building a “side hustle”, while still maintaining a full-time job. Well, freelancing will help you...

What happens after you quit your dream?

In my million and one attempts to create a successful business I’ve let many things go, but I never in my life felt the way I did recently.

quitdream

We’ve all been there, you know. That moment when enough is enough.

The moment when you are absolutely DONE with suffering for your dream. The crying, praying, wishing, hoping, doing; at some point you either get it or you don’t. In this case you don’t. Nothing has changed. And finally, feeling betrayed, you decide to break it off with your dream. You QUI...
