Demise of the Lucky Editing Pencil

Picture Last week I blogged a picture of my editing supplies, which includes my Lucky Editing Pencil. I'm sad to say Lucky Editing Pencil is no more. Our foster puppy got his teeth on it, and this is what's left.

I'm hoping this isn't a bad sign about the direction my edits have gone in!

Picture From Goodreads:

Leila is doomed to a life of solitude...until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world's most infamous vampire...

He's the Prince of Night...

Editing Supplies

Picture I'm in the middle of some serious edits for Pine Lake Book #2. How can you tell? Because I have my trusty editing supplies at the ready: a printed out copy of the manuscript, a Diet Pepsi, a bag of Hershey's milk chocolate chips, my Lucky Editing Pencil, and a backup pencil.

Let the games begin!

Book Review - Dark Currents (Jacqueline Carey)

Picture From Amazon:

The Midwestern resort town of Pemkowet boasts a diverse population: eccentric locals, wealthy summer people, and tourists by the busload—not to mention fairies, sprites, vampires, naiads, ogres, and a whole host of eldritch folk, presided over by Hel, a reclusive Norse goddess.

To Daisy Johanssen, fathered by an incubus and raised by a single mother, it’s home. And as Hel’s enforcer and the designated liaison to the Pemkowet Police Department, it’s up to her to ensure relations...

Book Review - One Good Earl Deserves A Lover (Sarah MacLean)

Picture From Goodreads:

Lady Philippa Marbury is odd. The bespectacled, brilliant fourth daughter of the Marquess of Needham and Dolby cares more for books than balls, flora than fashion and science than the season. Nearly engaged to Lord Castleton, Pippa wants to explore the scandalous parts of London she's never seen before marriage. And she knows just who to ask: the tall, charming, quick-witted bookkeeper of The Fallen Angel, London's most notorious and coveted gaming hell, known only as Cross.

Book Review - Something About You (Julie James)

Picture From Goodreads:

Fate has thrown two sworn enemies...

Of all the hotel rooms rented by all the adulterous politicians in Chicago, female Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde had to choose the one next to 1308, where some hot-and-heavy lovemaking ends with a death. And of all the FBI agents in Illinois, it had to be Special Agent Jack Pallas who gets assigned to this high-profile homicide. The same Jack Pallas who still blames Cameron for a botched crackdown three years ago—and for nearly ruini...

Book Review - Flirting with Danger (Suzanne Enoch)

Picture From Amazon:

Samantha Jellicoe is a thief and proud of it. Raised to appreciate the finer things in life, Sam has no trouble divesting the wealthy of their treasures. This all changed, however, the night she attempts to steal a valuable item from a Palm Beach estate. Before she knew what hit her, a bomb goes off, a guard is killed, and Sam ends up saving millionaire Richard Addison. She's a good thief and will own up to her jobs, but if anyone thinks to tie her to murder, they better think ag...
