DAY 89 - Flat Out Scary
Welcome my wonderful readers!
So I bought my first flat screen TV this past weekend. Only 19 inches, but it's a start. The picture tube in our 'old-fashioned' one was dying, and we were excited to join the modern world with our new flat screen. Only thing is, I didn't anticipate eye strain!
Anyone out there who has read my autobiography(hello...is there anyone out there...? Can you hear me... h-e-a-r m-e... h-e-a-r m-e, h-e-a-r m-e...?) knows that I suffer from a visual impairment, and had a bad experience back in 2003 after staring at a PC screen for too long. And now I've got this new tv that has a similar screen. UGH! Gotta cut down on my viewing time now. I'm used to pacing myself anyway, with reading, writing, PC time. But now I've got to test the waters and see if I can spend even more time with words now that the flat screen monster is scaring the hell out of me!
I just got back from the store to see if they have any other options, but all are now flat screen, and the only ones that have glass screens are out of my price range. Everything else is LED or LCD. Shit!
So here's to hoping I can manage to stay clear of fuckin' up my eye again.

Oh, Mardi Gras is tomorrow, and I've got a surprise to share that ties in with the famous celebration. "So ya'll come back now, ya hea?!"
