The Afflicted - Free Giveawy

The Afflicted by Andy Strutt Hi All,

The first month following the release of my first ever book has been quite frantic especially as I am relatively new to both the Author and Public Netwroking scenes.
I have however worked out how to use the major sites such as Facebook, Google+, Linkedin, Twitter and more recently Goodreads, and although I found it pretty daunting to trying to gain attention for my book, I have managed to establish a huge network on friends within the writing industry. It is a relief to see that I am not the only author out there that is uncomfortable telling everyone how good is my work.
I have now through my new friends found several other avenues for raising the profile of my work so as a thankyou to them and all the readers who have bought my book, helping to make it a success, I am offering three signed copies using the Goodreads give away scheme. If you haven't already seen my work then take your chances at a free copy staring on February 1st.
Good luck and thankyou.
The Afflicted

The Afflicted - Released 2013

The AfflictedHello all readers. If you have read or intend to read my new book "The Afflicted" then thank you very much, I hope you really enjoy it. It was a long road to get my novel published, and as I am sure every other author on Goodreads will agree, it hasn't been easy.
The idea for the book actually came to me when I was helping my children with a little homework one weekend. They had been asked to write a short story given a limited list of characters, items and places they had to include. Well as any parent will have experienced at some point, the pair of them decided that the task was utterly impossible. I chided them and boasted that anyway could do and to my surprise they called my bluff.
Now wishing to save face I had to demonstrate that I could write a short story from a number of totally unrelated character, items and places, I also had to do within the same allotted time frame they were bound by.
Nevertheless I completed the task, and it was from that moment that I was bitten by the writing bug and decided to turn my simple short story into a novel. A little under three years later, several more grey hairs, multiple rejections and numerous sleepless nights I finally found a backer for my book. After that the rest is history, I did a lot of work with Mr Kevin David and his amazing staff at Arrow Gate Publishing and "The Afflicted" was born.
Now I sit by computer patiently checking the reviews and comments from the readers who have kindly chosen my book and so far I have been very pleasantly surprised. If you haven't already had a look then please check it out at http://arrowgatepublishing.com/home/.
