Lightning Strikes! That Moment Before A First Kiss!
Much of SEETHINGS‘ narrative is written with or around a storm, literally and metaphorically... and it all comes down to finding the perfect kiss. Our photographer Mitchell is not just obsessed with photographing lightning, he’s obsessed. While chasing down the perfect photo of one, he discovers another sound lightning makes before it connects. It’s subtle, easily missed, a softer zipping noise.
Mitchell describes this mysterious sound as being same as the intention behind love’s intention to kiss for the first time.
What happens next is strange but wonderful.
She won’t tell him it’s okay to continue and he won’t speak either. Something beautiful brings them together and it goes beyond words..
The gravity increases and lips touch. That’s when their hearts begin to synchronize.
Here is where lightning strikes and thunder crashes.
Read SEETHINGS to find out more.

Kurdaitcha Assassin. The #kurdaitchaisnear Hashtag
Firstly, welcome. Here is where The Kurdaitcha Man ( #kurdaitchaisnear ), the indigenous Australian assassin lives. Here is where HE lurks, waiting for his victims to present themselves in a safe, comfortable world.
So you saw this word somewhere and it had you wondering: ‘What does THAT mean?’
He isn’t alone. There is another here. Your arrival now makes three. It’s nice to see us all together.
The Conduit and The Kurdaitcha Man share a common bond: They are curious about what makes you tick and they’d like to take you apart. Kurdaitcha is thankful for The Conduit’s skill in giving HIM access to you through the Internet. The Conduit promises HIM perfect sanctuary. For every second you stay here, another link for The Kurdaitcha Man is being made directly into your private life.
Check your camera. Is it on? Did it come on just briefly?
That’s okay, HE doesn’t always use the camera. Sometimes the microphone is all he needs. Listening to you playing your favourite music, hearing your preferred television shows in the background tells HIM much. Too much TV and music says you’re alone. That’s nice. The type of music you’re playing reveals your emotional state. So does your TV shows. You’d be surprised at how accurate HIS psychological profiling can be.
#kurdatichaisnear Behind the Scenes.
And then there is social media. Everyone has something posted to social media. Narcissistic lifestyles have produced an abundance of extra material for HIM to study. And it’s not the image that you want to project that HE’S interested in most. It’s the differences between and what you present to the world against what he knows of you after studying your computer and personal device that piques his interest. Liars make great victims. They hide things and are less likely to talk. They are vulnerable.
And now #kurdaitchaisnear and, depending on what you do and say, you may be contacted suddenly by a stranger in the street – a perfect stranger who seems to meet all of your requirements and says all the right things at just the right time.
Will you be ready for when #kurdaitchaisnear?
The clock is ticking.
This is Neo-noir.

SIM Card Deception. The secret noir hidden in phone technology
Go back home SIM! You don’t belong here!Where’s your mother little SIM? Does she know you’re on your own?
Look at you… in the open and all naked like that. Put a phone on or else you’ll catch a human. We can’t have a stranger fondling your data. What will people read? You’re supposed to keep your contacts covered. That’s what SIM card deception is all about. Only special people should get to touch your gold bits.
Ahh… what secrets do you hold little SIM card? Where have you been? Who have you’ve connected? You have so much power… and so easy to lose.
SEETHINGS starts with a SIM card like this. It ends with another. Our killer collects them. He turns them into something his wife uses almost everyday. She’s oblivious to their meaning and their origins. She’s oblivious to many things. That’s why our killer smiles a little more every time she uses them. It’s nicely neo-noir, don’t you think? Let those hairs on your arms stand up about now!
The idea of bringing SIM cards into this narrative came from a story I was told by a photographer friend of mine. She had two SIM cards in her possession. One was for her husband and a second was for the ‘other guy.’ She kept the spare hidden in her car and made sure to delete the phone’s history before returning home each day. She knew her husband would take an opportunity to glance at her talk and text history so she made sure it looked clean for him. It worked, he was no wiser and she was able to live both lives for several years.
If you’re a morally-sensitive person then you’ll be shaking your head in disgust. But if you’re a reader who likes mysteries and stories like these, then SEETHINGS is the novel for you. SIM card deception like these happens on many levels inside the book.
SIM card deception in SEETHINGS. (order of importance)
The calls: A most obvious one. Removing caller, call and text history from the phone and the card is imperative for any lies between spouses to remain hidden.
Location Id: A phone doesn’t need to make a call to leave a record of where it’s been. Cell-towers leave logs on SIM cards. GPS details from the phone can confirm and even pin-point them. Although most users have no access to this data, a police investigation would take this information from them right away – but there’s a nice ruse placed here to stop that.
The trophy: Our killer turns a SIM card he sees as one symbol into something noir-ly interesting by promoting it into a secondary and more creepy one. The wife has no clue. She thinks her husband is being sweet – but he’s not.
It’s hard to believe that something so small can bring huge worlds down. In SEETHINGS, this tiny piece of plastic has to hold several lies in place to keep the deception alive and active. Any moment the SIM card deception is found out, the whole lot would come crashing down. The question is when, how and what will happen as it does?
I’d love to tell you the rest. Here is where you can order a copy.
Cheers Mx (Author)

Paper Orgasms: My Literotica
Literotica? Are you sure you want to go down that path Michael? It’s psychological thrillers you’re writing, not Chick-Lit!Why not include literotica in a story about sex and murder?
Sex is suspenseful, right? Good sex is extremely suspenseful. And they say sex starts in the brain and moves outwards. So why not take the suspense from one act of life and then tie it to another, like crime, so readers can be taken to places they’d never expect? Sex is a normal part of life and good erotica isn’t exclusive to books of tease. Sometimes sex and sexual attraction are there to take characters on a completely relatable journey in other types worlds, like the novels you find in the psychological thrillers genre – reflecting life’s adventures in the art of creative writing. (Or is it the other way around?)
Lori Beeton (a reader) said my literotica was very feminine in comparison to other male writers. (She’s also read a lot of Dean Koontz by the way.) She says I take my time to set the moment and don’t rush to get business done.
My Literotica
It’s true, I do hold back. That’s because once intercourse begins, it’s pretty much over. The only enticement left in the bag of writing tricks is to elevate sex to a new and higher level and to take some time getting it there. That’s okay but let’s face it, that first deep kiss, that first penetration of a c*ck into a warm p*ssy, is the highest plane of sex for many of us – well beyond the words of mere mortals. It’s such a sweet and magical leap… but the next few jumps aren’t so big. Bigger thrusts, kinkier positions and sweatier actions are much like those that came before, only bigger, kinkier and sweatier. First contact is what it’s all about baby! Savour that!
So I use the tease before sexual intercourse to draw the reader in and hook them in tight. I like sex too but I love everything about what comes before it, that includes the odours, the twitches in the flesh, the flash of knickers, the lure of a set of seductive eyes. I love the actions a women makes with her body when she lifts a T-shirt over her head. Hell, I could write a whole chapter on the removal of a bloody T-shirt!
But SEETHINGS is more than removing shirts and throwing in tantalizing literotica. There is a seriously twisted narrative that supports it, taking you on a wild ride of sex and murder. Just as you think the sex can’t get any hotter, a surprise arrives to change all you believe in love and intimacy.
Do read SEETHINGS this year. You won’t find a better psycho-thriller all year!

Writer’s Autopsy 5: Orgasm: The Organism’s Organ.
There’s a section in the book that talks about orgasm. It’s embedded within a conversation between Mitchell, Sam and their close friends Annika and David.During a dinner at Annika and David’s home, a thunderstorm forms in the distance. As the clouds grow and pulsate with light against the black sky, Mitchell remarks on how the scene appears to him. He says that the storm reminds him of a live animal, a beast with a brain full of intelligent thoughts. He uses the word organism too. Annika is surprised at his descriptors but curious just the same. She studies the flashing lights for a minute and then agrees with him. Wife Sam interrupts to explain to Annika that Mitchell uses this word to describe many things. The reason she believes he uses it so much is because it’s closely related to the word orgasm. She says he has orgasm on-the-brain and tries to say it whenever he can.
Laughter descends on the foursome’s party but humour wasn’t invited. There’s a dark secret driving this discussion, one that has never fully revealed itself. There’s underlying conflict between Sam and Mitchell. It’s all about sex. The truth is: This couple don’t have any. Sex has to be in their thoughts all the time; one brain thinking up ways to engage the couple in sex, the other thinking up ways to block it. Sam has to have just as much sex-on-the-brain to maintain the relationship’s dry spell and stop Mitchell’s advances
Annika and David are trying for a baby. For the first time, Sam and Mitchell hear a little more about their techniques to increase their chances of falling pregnant. It’s an interesting discussion and very revealing. Sam a Mitchell have spoken about having a child too. They were excited to announce their decision to try for one some months ago. When Annika finishes her story, she turns to Sam. ‘So how are you two going?’
It’s a dangerous question for anyone to ask. It was dangerous to announce such a thing first place. Questions would arise from it and then someone has to answer. Someone needs to speak…
Their reaction? Astounding! Outcome? Extrordinary!
Do they kiss and make up? Are there rugrats as far as the eye can see?
Now I’ve whetted your appetite, order a copy of SEETHINGS and find out!

Logan City: Amatuer Photographers Discover Body.
Story by reporter: Julie Sephlia : Twitter: i.sephlia : Facebook
Two Meadowbrook photography TAFE students taking a walk this morning discovered a woman’s near naked body in low lying grass on the banks of the Logan River.
Charlene Foley, 38 of Kingston, was last seen on Wednesday night after she told her husband she was going for a walk. She never returned.
Logan City Police have released the following statement:

Police Search River Bank for SIM
‘Mrs Foley appears to have left her Kingston address at about seven thirty on the night of the 15th and then made her way down Juers St. We believe she has either met with someone or was abducted, relocating to Meadowbrook soon after. There are signs of sexual assault and we’re currently looking for a white sedan that was seen in the area around that time. We are also searching for her mobile phone’s SIM card. Cadets from Oxley will be doing a ground-search today, retracing her movements along the river, Armstrong Rd and surrounds.’
Photography student Len Skapp who first discovered the body said, ‘We were photographing insects and I said to John what’s that in the background? I thought it was someone sunbathing.’
Mrs Foley leaves behind two daughters and a son.

The question is: Did Charlene Foley know her killer before she stepped onto the street that night?
Yes, you’ve been drawn into reading another cutting excerpt from SEETHINGS by Michael Forman. Order your copy below and, like this post, expect the unexpected!
P.S Len Skapp? Surely you didn’t believe that did you? By the way, that name (or any other corny one like it) doesn’t appear in the narrative. I just had to indulge the post with a giggle-type-moment to see if you were paying attention.
