You may expectThat it will follow, since thatIs the way of things. OneIdiotic gesture surely leadsTo another. This is the matureExpectation, isn't it? Isn't someone'sBest friend always taking up Cigarettes, jumping off a cliff,Sticking his

David Frum on the passage of health care reform

No illusions please: This bill will not be repealed. Even if Republicans scored a 1994 style landslide in November, how many votes could we muster to re-open the "doughnut hole" and charge seniors more for prescription drugs? How many votes to re-allow insurers to rescind policies when they discover a pre-existing condition?

Who's the Best Mommy of Them All?

We all know them. We avoid them on playgrounds. We shudder at their comments on parenting Web sites. They are the perfectly nice women who turn into mothers with strong opinions about how to raise children. David Beckham Gets An Ode From British Poet Laureate

The poem weaves the mythical story together with references to Beckham's life, including his marriage to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and his experimental fashion sense. It speaks of the hero concealed "in girls' sarongs; days of sweetmeats, spices, silver songs."

Catholic Nuns Urge Passage of Health Bill

Shortly after Kucinich's announcement, a letter was released from 60 leaders of women's religious orders urging lawmakers to vote for the legislation."Despite false claims to the contrary, the Senate bill will not provide taxpayer funding for elective abortions. It will uphold long-standing conscience protections and it will make historic new investments – $250 million – in support of pregnant

Aries Week of March 18

From what I can tell, your excursion to Fake Paradise didn't exact too serious a toll. The accidental detour may have seemed inopportune in the moment, but you know what? I think it slowed you down enough to keep you from doing something rash that you would have regretted later. And are you really sorry you were robbed of your cherished illusions? In the long run, I think it was for the best. As

Alice in Wonderland

I enjoyed this movie up until the very, very end. That being said, it's definitely for children, my two loved it. Also it was my very first 3D movie, evah.____I pushed some poems out of the nest today, for the first time in a very long time. Fly poems, fly!
