Poor Placement Officer
I wonder on the changing paradigm shift in placement. The poor placement officer are held responsible for placement results. If one ask if that isn’t the responsibility who held such positions? This is something we all need to talk about. The uncertain answer is due to the feeling that I (and Dr Meena Chandavarkar) tried to talk on this topic in the book ‘Umbilical Cord‘, cord 11, Poor P-Officer.
We tried to reason out that the, ‘We define our success rate by keeping a gun on others shoulders’ has created weaker society through such process in the name of opportunity.
Is it responsibility or something that we are missing to understand the role of placement officer. What do you think?

Unique Me Workshop
School could be the best place to beginning inculcating the importance of ‘Unique Me’. Several observations have shown us in the past trainings that students (graduate and postgraduates) who haven’t addressed this issue have found to be lived introvert life. There isn’t bad thing being an introvert but they could have been extrovert and achieved much larger than otherwise.
The inputs from Dove initiation were handy to incite the right message that help students to connect the objective.
The session was conducted for X, XI and VIII students and the first of series looked promising beginning. We hope to uplift the self-esteem as the sessions progress. Do you know your ‘Unique Me’?
Cheers!

More Ki and Ka’s are Needed
I was excited to watch R Balki’s movie since its announcement because it had to do with some articles that I had written during 2014 (I Want to Marry House Husband) and followed another article (click here), both the articles have received highest number of visitors and comments. Many comments have not been approved because there was inquiries to become House Husband. These two articles inspired to write a book titled ‘Umbilical Cord’ (click here) that has one Cord (chapter title) on same theme. It’s good to see that gender stereotyping is addressed through large canvas. Dr Shayan Haq and I attempted to address this topic in an a book She: Ekla Cholo Re which has become one of the highly acclaimed one!
This momentum of watching had a small lump after critic’s review and rating. I re-read several reviews to see the challenge that most of them had difficulty in understanding the gender stereotyping. This confusion is reflected very well in the later half of the movie especially towards the end when Kia makes her presence felt with typical the way man thinks of woman in a family.
Although there have several movies that have taken this theme and few them Govinda has in it but R Balki’s Ki & Ka is a promising beginning to break gender stereotyping. Kudos to the entire team for making a good beginning!

Happiness : Goal of life!
It’s fun to be a child and never grow up. This thought goes well with the saying, ‘Be like a child in learning and be like an adult in behaving’. This would definitely added happiness quotient to life. Keep this as a motto several activities were conducted for MBA I students.

I followed up until the trailer was out and was happy to see a movie is getting made to break a stereotype that often society believed to be one. I had written an article 2014 (I Want to Marry House Husband) and followed another article (click here), both the articles have received highest number of visitors and comments. Many comments have not been approved because there was inquiries to become House Husband.

It’s good to see that gender stereotyping is addressed through large canvas. Simulation Exercise
Simulation exercise with limited resources in a hostile environment is something to learn. Group of students (mostly from different streams) were grouped. The first hurled to overcome was to get them into a situation that the exercises required, this was partially overcome through stories that took them out of their present. While the discussion processed it seemed still harder they found it difficult to be someone else. This was realised during presentation and Q&A time.
