Short Story of Hope
It’s true that one become poet or story-teller while hurt –
“I neither have control over future nor past. I’m in the moment with a hope to bring smiles on 1 billion people. If I win let’s celebrate and if I loose let’s plan to win.”

Assets: Teacher and Student
My son’s Vignan curious mind had fetched him laurels for his efforts, teachers motivation and parents contribution. His visit to NASA for winning an international trophy for a project Aresam: The Gateway to Mars. Post XIIth standard he opted to study at Standford University for Bachelor’s degree. During application processing, he was asked to fill an application, which teacher inspired him the most? I’m sure all the students who joins Stanford would have mentioned their favourite teacher name. There is definitely no surprise with such question in a form. During his summer break Vignan came to India. Because of the attachment with the school and teacher, he went to meet them. His favourite teacher was in tears in seeing him. He wondered, what could be the matter for the tears to trickle?

Solapur Railway Station
Bombay was a city that I loved to visit twice a year, during Diwali & Summer vacations. I loved Bombay because of two reasons – firstly, my dear grandma pampered me with chats and yummy handmade pickles and kindness. Secondly, it was a family visit and I looked forward to such visits as a child. There is also a third factor that left a scar on my young heart but with time, I accepted it.
To reach Bombay, we had to take a connecting train from Solapur Junction. There was a waiting time of 2-3 hours before we could board the train. While waiting, my mother would pull me, my brother and dad to talk a man. The man was of similar age of dad and wore thick moustache. He would welcome us with warm smile. The interaction between the man and my mother lasted not more than fifteen minutes. In each talk, I heard them inviting each other to their home. But the invitation just remained in words.
As I grew up and gained maturity, I inquired about the man to my dad. What I heard from my dad left me into sea of surprise.[image error]

Something is Smoking
I hold you but you burn irrespective of being under my control
You don’t last making me last little less longer
You desire to be burnt but I desire to burn my moment
But I am actually burning more than a moment
Did you win or did I loose?
Are you holding me or Am I holding you?

Eye Opener Stories
Aishwarya Achu (Goodreads)
I received this book from the author as a review copy, thank you so much…!! ( a detailed review will be up soon)
This was another great work by the author. This book is a typical eye opener. It has 4 short stories of women and the tragedies revolving around them,. how they overcome them.
This books shows the reality of how women were treated back then in olden days(maybe even now at few places), how the traditions, customs, hardships forced a girl, a lady, a women to become prey. A women, broken dreams, shattered life, deprived freedom, suicidal thoughts.
This book really touches your heart and can rip you apart. I was so emotional when I reached the last page. I am looking forward to read such eye opener stories. I highly recommend this book to everyone out there though most of you guys hate Indian writing.
Kuddos to the author for writing such eye opener stories.

Future Genx Toys

Kids at QtPi
Then came battery run toys specifically a segment for boys and dolls for girls. I think neither children nor parents weren’t completely satisfied (not that they expressed this as a serious concern) but game developers might have got this pinch. As developers were children too! The biggest challenge for game developers was not to just to give a fancy item in hand but to engage them for several hours. A new kind of market got evolved! However, parents initially might have been happy that their child is engaged but it took away several productive hours. Several parents should have felt that child is getting addicted to online games. The scenario is seen as disruptive behaviour. I’m sure many would agree that parents and children continue to wait for something that not only engages them but also gives a new dimension to life! Through creative output, enhancing learning curve, educative, competitive, and obviously fun.
One of such players who is in the process of filling this gap is QtPi. My recent visit to this office where several parents and children had gathered to participate and understand the new wave or what I call them as ‘cute pie’ because they have all the elements that past toy industry had incorporated. Are these going to future toys that would not just engage children and learners but also fuel creativity and help in making a better career?
