Weighing In On The Writing And Publishing Of Stories

I love stories. I love writing them and I love reading them. I love writing them so much that, if I'm lucky, they become books. And if I'm luckier still, people, like you, will read them. That's the simple, basic idea of what I do. I love stories and I want you to love them too. Anything I can do to encourage that, I will. There seems to be a lack of love for stories lately. Especially on the internet. People from all around the globe are writing from a self-published perspective and the other...

Re-Prioritizing: TWLOHA Day 2014

I volunteer pretty regularly at my church. They run a day school and need someone to help out with visitors and such, so I do what I can. And that is where I am writing from today.

I sit here, rewriting work that will be released in the coming months and I consider where I'm at mentally, spiritually, emotionally. I consider my priorities as a writer and I try to remain objective about them when I remember that I'm more important things like a husband, a man, a human being.

My memory reminded me...

Down Home: A Southern Short

Last year, I had the idea for a short story. Today, I've released it.
It's called, "Down Home."

Like the teaser said yesterday, the story involves a decapitated squirrel, a drug dealer called Spice, and a Sheriff who's day just got much, much longer. But if that were all it were, then why are people so afraid?

It's only $0.99. The eBook is available for Kindle and a bound, hard copy is available upon request, signed, mailed directly from me for $5 + S&H.

For fans of The Andy Griffith Show and...

eBook and Sneak Peek

I know a lot of you wanted it, so I'm releasing the eBook of Before She Grows Cold almost a week early! It's on Amazon right now! Go get a copy for $5.99! That's right, only 6 bucks!

Before you go though, keep reading...

As I mentioned on Facebook before, there are differences between the eBook and Paperback of this novel.
There's the obvious of not being able to hold the beautiful cover art in your hands or feel the smooth, plushness of the matte finish. But, there's the NOT SO obvious, t...

The Story: Before She Grows Cold

The time has finally come. I finally released my first novel. I've been apprehensive about it because it's such a personal story. It's heartbreaking, more to me personally, I think, because there is so much of myself in it. Not just the characters but the experiences and thoughts behind them have come from a very honest place, a very vulnerable place.

Initially, Before She Grows Cold was going to be titled The Young Man. I was going to be writing it in direct relation to Hemingway's The O...
