Guru used to sell ayurvedic medicines, ceiling and table fans in his hometown in South India before stumbling onto the glamorous/nefarious/sordid field of advertising which made a decent copywriter out of him. And also taught him to stop referring to himself in the third person, like the Jimmy character from Seinfeld. After spending over 20 years in the business in India and Singapore, where I live now with my wife, I write short stories for grown-ups and kids. I also freelance.
