Doggone It (A Dreamwalker Mystery) - Maggie Toussaint

Dream walker Baxley Powell can’t remember the last time she had such a crappy weekend. A twilight encounter with a ghost dog left her numb and disoriented, her dream walker abilities are wiped out, and the sheriff just summoned her to a double homicide. With no access to the spirit world, Baxley bluffs her way through the crime scene where a movie star’s assistant and a charter boat captain were strung up and bled dry.
In a haunted house, no less. Figuring out who killed these people will be a real challenge without her ability to speak to the dead. With the sheriff pushing her to solve the case quickly, Baxley teams up with a dog napping medium to boost her powers. All of Sinclair County is on edge, and the media circus isn’t helping. At stake are the movie’s funding, the sheriff’s job, and Baxley’s senses.

Can Baxley safeguard her abilities and solve the case before the killer strikes again?

Over the Line - Sarah Winter (Kindle Scout Winner)

Purchase on Amazon
Gabriel Miller is a professional football defensive end with a blown knee and a blown career. Desperate, he takes a friend's advice and calls a local yoga instructor, Quinn Hadley, to see what she can do for him.
Quinn and her son, Cooper, have been rebuilding their life after an attack that left Quinn in the hospital and her ex, Mitchell McDonald, in prison. But as Gabriel, Quinn, and Cooper grow closer, the bond they forge kick-starts a chain reaction that will threaten all of their lives.

About the Author                  http://www.sarahwinter.xyz/
I'm Sarah Winter, and I am a published author living in Wyoming. After surprising everyone (especially me) by writing my debut romance novel in the winter of 2013, I decided to give up my 9-5--which was actually an overnight job of 10-7, but I digress-- and pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a published author. I hate writing bios, but people like a looky-loo into what might make a writer tick. I shall oblige. Hopefully it makes sense.I started out life in northern Wisconsin, hunting and fishing and living the Northwoods life. It's the sort of place where nothing really happens, and everyone knows everyone. I grew up an avid reader, in a house full of other avid readers, with books on every available surface.I've been married since I was 19 to my high school sweetheart, and we have two adorable sons. We moved to Wyoming in 2007 and decided to lose our minds completely in the winter of 2015, buying our first house! Should be fun (she says with her eyes rolled back in her skull). My life has a very sarcatic definition of 'fun.'After quitting my job in summer 2013, I started writing my first novel, something I'd dreamed of doing for years but never thought I would ever get around to doing. I amazed myself and everyone else by finishing it within a few months. I self-published Snowbound, in January of 2014 and entered it in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest a month later, where it went on to the Quarter-Finals. My second novel, Over the Line, won a contract with Kindle Press through Amazon's Kindle Scout program, and was published in June 2015. My third novel will release on February 14th, 2016. It is entitled Beauty and the Beast, and it is (obviously) a bit of a departure from my previous two. It is my retelling of the original fairy tale, borrowing from and expanding on elements of previous versions of the story and making it my own. I'm very proud of all of my books and hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.In my writing, I strip my characters of everything that makes them what they are outwardly, and return them to their basic selves. I want to see how people react to situations that force them to act on instinct, and to take away what makes them what they are so we can get them back to who they are. I also like taking common concepts and tropes in fiction and reinventing them to create different, unexpected outcomes.

Welcome to the World of R.E. Carr!

Finding a job is never easy, and the only employment Gail usually finds is acting as Girl Friday for the mob. Lucky for Gail, Georgia Sutherland has just the job for her—that is, if she can handle working nights, managing a little blood, and a boss who's been dead for centuries. In a single interview, Gail's world turns upside down as she discovers that all she’s seen in Hollywood isn’t quite true; vampires don't combust in sunlight, but they do fall in love. Are Georgia's stories enough to persuade Gail to take the gig catering to an antediluvian vampire who's thirsty for a new personal assistant? If Gail wants to live out the year and retire rich, she just needs to remember the Four Rules that govern undead society.

Caring for a vampire is a dirty job, but Georgia Sutherland is just the woman to do it. As the go-to gal for her recovering master, she has everything a girl can dream of--except for the man that she loves, Ren. Still, Georgia refuses to give up hope. For a chance at bliss, she's willing to risk rekindling her relationship with a rival vampire family.

Meanwhile, halfway across the country, Paige DeMarco has given up her old name and her old life, and finally found a man worth her time. Unfortunately for her, werewolf relationships aren't as simple as she hoped, especially when her vampire ex rolls into town.

Both women have to face the facts: once you get involved with vampires, life becomes complicated. As their lives intertwine, ghosts of the past rise up to haunt them. The only question is, can there ever be a happily ever after for those entangled with the undying?

Paige Carmichael has one simple rule: don’t rock the boat. She lives a quiet life in the suburbs with an adequate boyfriend and a job that pays the rent, all the while trying to hide the fact that she’s the daughter of a world-renowned paranormal investigator. Her happy bubble bursts when the father she’s tried so hard to forget appears at her door with an ominous message—vampires are real.Paige’s safe little life doesn’t have secretive strangers that hide from the sun, arcane laws, or mysterious covens that stretch back for eons, but change as sure as the cycle of the moon is headed her way. Unfortunately for Paige, it’s a dog-eat-dog world, and if she doesn’t learn to adapt and discover her own inner strength, she might just find herself at the bottom of the food chain—quite literally.

About the Author
R. E. Carr likes to split her time between the alien (well, resident alien) she married, her two adorable offspring and the vast army of characters who constantly argue in her brain. She uses her past life as a video game reviewer to remind herself just how awesome it is to be writing novels now.

Rachel writes because she knows so many people and places that never quite made it into this version of the universe. It’s her duty to let them out. Writing also gives her mind a certain peace and calm rarely felt in this multi-tasking, wired world.

With so much Talent, sometimes it's all you can do to function in an un-Talented society.

About the Author
I grew up in Northern California, but I've moved so many times, I really don't know what to say when people ask where I'm from. "Not here," is usually the most accurate answer.

Before I met my husband, I usually moved in pursuit of education, which included stints in Massachusetts, Iowa, England, Spain, and Rhode Island. My favorite US city is Boston, where I met my husband. In eight years, we lived in nine different places, moving around in search of something that might convince us to stay put.

I was a fiction and creative non-fiction editor at Fireship Press in amazingly unique Tucson, Arizona, for nearly two years. With support from Fireship's founder, I established Açedrex Publishing to bring you the finest reading material in English and Spanish, mainly in e-book form. Check it out at acedrex.com. I was a founding member of Loose Leaves Publishing (looseleavespublishing.com). We released award-winning literary, historical, mystery, and thriller novels, edited and designed to the highest standard. I'm now a freelance editor. I'll work with you to make sure your book is the best it can be!

I've published fiction in many venues. I've collected the best in UNPREDICTABLE WORLDS: STORIES in ebook and softcover. You can find my short novel about a woman's struggle to find herself under some extraordinary circumstances, TREE/HOUSE, in softcover, Kindle, and audiobook. My exciting epic novel set in early medieval Spain, SEVEN NOBLE KNIGHTS, will be published by Bagwyn Books on December 15, 2016. My irresistible contemporary paranormal, which is Gilmore Girls with a twist, AWASH IN TALENT, is available now from Kindle Press. I've also written a poetry chapbook, DUSK BEFORE DAWN.

My translation of an inspiring medieval story, The Abencerraje, is available for a pittance. I have also published literary criticism: Law and Order in Medieval Spain and Deu-lles o que merecian: Violence in the Cantigas de Santa Maria.

Besides my husband, the things I love most in this world are Spain and rhinoceroses.
