5-Star Amazon reader review

THE KENNEDY CONNECTION: A THRILLING THRILLER

R.G. Belsky sets the pages flying and the pulse pounding with "The Kennedy Connection," a mystery thriller that cleverly juxtaposes the most compelling whodunit of our times - the JFK assassination - with a series of modern day murders in New York. But Belsky's greatest creation is his anti-hero, Gil Malloy, a disgraced reporter searching for his soul as much as for the biggest story of his career. "The Kennedy Connection," filled with twists, satisfies at every turn while whetting the appetite for the next Gil Malloy adventure. - Amazon customer

From an article I wrote about JFK slay

When the Warren Commission issued its final report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, it was supposed to answer all of the questions Americans had about what happened on that tragic day in Dallas. Today we are more skeptical than ever that we know the whole truth. And even if you accept the Warren Commission’s basic premise that Oswald killed JFK on his own (a majority of American still believe it was some sort of conspiracy). There are many unanswered questions about what happened on November 22, 1963.

Here are some of them:

On Nov. 22, Talking JFK on the Anniversary

At Mystery Lover's Bookshop in Oakmont, Pa on November 22 with owner Laurie Stephens and the store's Coffee and Crime discussion group. It was the 51st anniversary of the JFK assassination, and I talked about my novel The Kennedy Connection - plus my views about many of the unanswered questions about Dallas. The people in the group had plenty of fascinating theories of their own too. It was a great conversation and a fun event!

Bouchercon fun

Back in New York after a fun week in Long Beach, Cal. at the Bouchercon worldwide mystery conference. Met Michael Connelly, Sue Grafton, Donald Bain, Jan Burke, Hank Phillippi Ryan and so many other great authors and fans. The 70 degree weather didn't suck either.

Me and Sue Grafton....

Meeting with Sue Grafton, one of my favorite authors, at Bouchercon worldwide mystery conference in Long Beach on Nov. 14. She said at a panel that a fan had once come up with some crazy idea to have Kinsey Milhone investigate the JFK murder. I told her it wasn't that crazy! Super nice lady... Picture

New Harry Bosch...

There's a new Harry Bosch novel from Michael Connelly coming out on Nov. 3. Always a treat. I've read pretty much everything Michael Connelly has written over the past 20 years or so. I like the Harry Bosch character better than Mickey Haller. But everything Connelly writes is top-notch.   http://www.michaelconnelly.com/novels...

50 Years Ago Today....

The Warren Commission Report - concluding that Lee Harvey Oswald was JFK's lone assassin - was issued 50 years ago on Sept. 24, 1964. Seemed so simple back then, huh? For an alternate scenario.... Picture

Praise from Donald Bain...

Famed mystery author Donald Bain - who writes the best-selling Murder She Wrote series and has published more than 100 books - just sent me this after reading The Kennedy Connection:

"I enjoyed it very much. The characters were so deftly drawn, and the story kept me turning the pages, especially to see how Gil Malloy ended up. Gil Malloy for President!"

Thanks, Donald...high praise indeed, coming from you! Picture
