Henry Constable (1562–1613) was an English poet, son of Sir Robert Constable. He studied at the St John's College in Cambridge. After becoming a Roman Catholic he went to the continent and later acted as a papal legate in Scotland. Returning to England, he was emprisoned in the Tower for a short while. After his release he returned to the continent, where he died at Liège (Belgium). ...more
