New Month... New Goal!

Dear all,

#NewMonth #Aug1 #Goal
You can still write a book - scrap that. You can still write at least 3 books before the end of the year without compromising on quality, and using a process that works!
I just completed another short story in my #NigerianAssassin series. I wanted to stop at #3 but I got tempted to stop at #5 instead, for now 😁. #4 is done, 1 more to go 💪🏽.
The writing process I followed is in my guide.

New Month... New Style!

Dear all,

#NewMonth #Motivation #Apr1
I am excited to share that my first Drama Book, written in 2021 is now available in ebook and print.
It’s a story inspired by true events, but mostly fictional, and written after many many sleepless nights of research 😓.
Description:  A young man is kidnapped and sold into slavery, but the thought of seeing his wife again keeps him going until he learns the unearthed truth about his enslavement. Was his ordeal fated by the gods or orchestrated by an impure heart?***

At this point, I believe I can call myself a prosaist, poet, and playwright. It was one of my many personal writing challenges, and I’m glad I’ve accomplished it. So, is there a word for someone who has written/published all three? 😂
Do you have a writing and reading goal? This is your motivation to start it this new month. You can do it!

New Year: New Wins

Dear all,

#Monday #Motivation #Jan23
There is no better way to start a literary new year than being shortlisted for, and winning, an award.
I’m so excited to share that my Paranormal short story titled ‘Time Is Different Over Here’ won the 2022 Itanile Magazine Awards for fiction and my Science Fiction short story titled ‘One More Chance’ was selected as finalist for the 2023 Canopus Awards for Interstellar Writing.
To all the writers who are consistently putting in effort, never give up. Someone once told me to keep submitting my stories for awards, and one day, the stories would find a home. I’m leaving you all with that today.
Keep imagining, keep creating, keep writing, for one day, your stories would find a home.
PS: have you had the chance to get my writing guide titled ‘Learn To Write A Book In Under Two Weeks’? Visit my website here: www.cmokonkwo.com  to get started on your writing journey.

Happy New Year: Welcome to 2023

 Dear all,

#Sunday #Jan1 #NewYear
2022 was an interesting year for me with a lot of writing and reading goals, and a major accomplishment of hitting 35 publications on my 35th birthday. But none of that happened without my dear readers and friends encouraging and supporting me by reading my works and providing feedback.
Thank you for making 2022 a "literable" (literarily memorable) one, and I know that 2023 will be even better with you.
This year, I hope to write more, read more, and accomplish more, and most of all, I hope to connect and collaborate more with you, dear readers. This is why I'm inviting you to be a part of my Cosmos to grow with me as I explore and extract the depth of my creativity to deliver Captivating, Magnificent, and Original stories and moments.
If you would like to be a part of the community, join by using this LINK, and let's discover more this year.
Here's wishing you all a fulfilling and prosperous 2023.

Out Now: Poetry Book

Dear all,

#MondayMotivation #Mar21 #NewBook

Yay! My first poetry book, a Novel In Verse has gone live on major ebook distribution platforms. I'm glad I get to publish it today on World Poetry Day. This is the beginning of my romance with poetry, and I can’t wait for you to read it and let me know what you think.

Hard copies will be available at the upcoming Nigerian International Book Fair. I hope to see you there, by God's grace.

Cheers to another new week and another opportunity to achieve your goals.

Can I officially call myself a poet? 😁

Read the first three poems in the images below.

New Novella: Part Of Me

Dear all,

#Monday #Feb14 #NewBook

Yay! I’ve written my first book of the year, titled ‘Part Of Me’. A novella on family, love, and sacrifice just in time for #ValentinesDay.

It was a struggle getting back into writing after the holiday, but we are back, my imagination and I 😁.

The novella is out on all major ebook distribution platforms today, including Okadabooks. I hope you get to read it and enjoy it.

Description:

A trust compromised
A child lost
A love sacrificed
Was it worth the cost?

I decided to go poetic this time in anticipation of my first poetry book coming this March on World Poetry Day.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

New Book: The Double Effect

Dear all,

#Sunday #Jan2 #NewBook

It’s National #ScienceFiction Day! What better day to release my #timetravel book than on #IsaacAsimov’s birthday? This book was written in 2018, and I think it’s time to get it out there.

It was a tough one, but I hope you get to read it without sleeping off (lol), and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed coming up with a new concept of time travel…

Description:

Visiting Abuja for the weekend, Amina sees and falls for celebrity singer, Chuck-D. But there’s only one problem: she turned him down in high school fifteen years ago. Now in order to make him fall in love with her again, she and her reluctant best friend, Stanley, go on a time travel adventure to the past. But something goes wrong along the way, and Amina finds herself in an entirely different world without Stanley. She must evade those after her in the new world, find a missing person, retrieve a golden key, and race against time or she would be forever trapped in it.

Happy New Year once again.
