Review of Patriarch Run by Benjamin Dancer
I struggled a lot to get into Patriarch Run. That’s one of the reasons this review comes so late after it was requested: I found it hard. Part of it was to do with formatting – in fact, actually, most of it was to do with formatting. I think that my ebook reader displayed everything wrong for some reason. Once I got past that massive hurdle, I figured I’d give the book a fair chance.
This is the blurb:
Billy discovers that his father is a traitor, that he was deployed to safeguard the United St...

News, news, news.
Hi guys,
I’ve been conspicuously absent for a couple of months and would like to tell everyone what has been going on. Things have been happening in my life and with my work that you may want to know.
After working with Dark Nexus Fiction for only a few months, we have severed our working relationship. They will no longer be publishing my work. We parted ways amicably after realizing that our interests didn’t match up. If you are into horror stuff, kind of 80s and Stephen King inspired, I do re...

Review of Initiation by Jen Lemons
Initiation is Ms. Lemon’s debut novel. I think.
This is the blurb. You can get the book here and on her website.
Samantha Withers is a troubled 18-year-old, who is desperate to break ties with her overbearing father and escape undeserved blame for her mother’s rape and murder. She struggles with her caged inner demons, afraid of the havoc she’ll wreak if she gives in to her anger. It begins the night Sam is recruited by a mysterious man named X for a job that may be a little too perfect for her...
Guys I had a problem…
With my e-mail. You may need to resubmit some stuff. I’m in the process of putting together a To Be Read list so if you are in it, you don’t have to resubmit anything. If you are, please do.

Stephen Paul – The Perfect Game
Let me set the stage for you. A young woman about to have an illicit affair with her professor collapses in front of him as a man runs away. She has a brain aneurysm and the professor freaks out and deletes her texts. Here, read the blurb, and don’t forget to buy it here.
In a dark Manhattan alley, a young woman suddenly collapses from a brain hemorrhage. The statistics say it’s rare to have happened to someone so young and healthy, yet all signs point to natural causes. But when Kyle Vine, th...

The Loving Husband and The Faithful Wife
This is Kit Power’s debut novella. From the title, I can only assume it’s a gory horror book. In the first chapter, it is established that husband really loves his wife and that they are a perfectly ordinary and boring couple. Until a sexy builder that looks like Dean Winchester with obscene body art comes in and starts threatening the marriage. There is a lot of foreshadowing here… Let’s see if it pays off.
The narration style is not terrible. It’s kind of straight-forward with a little bit o...

B Major – Yokow Ribeiro Review
B Major is the debut short for author Yokow Ribeiro, at least under that name. It is a true short, coming in at around thirty pages and a truly easy to read little piece. Would I call it a page turner? Yeah, probably not. Let’s talk a bit about what was good with the book in the first place: It was nicely edited, the grammar was impeccable, the word usage was good.
The premise of the book is that there is this super boring ass lawyer that decides to tour with this band and try to become their...
