Revenge: Part Five

V. HELLO

I tried ambrosia for the first time at a club called Infinity. Genie, Sam and I were the only girls there that night, surrounded on the dance floor by good-looking, mostly shirtless men, who were more interested in each other than in any of us. Not that I minded. We were there to celebrate Sam’s birthday and just wanted to dance and have a good time. At one point, we decided we needed a break and sat at the bar to catch our breath and cool down w...

Revenge: Parts Three and Four

Read Parts One and Two here.

III. No Such Things

I’ll never forget the eager spark in Genie’s eyes when she first showed me the book.

“I met this guy at a bar the other day. He gave me this,” she told me as she dropped the book on my desk. I twisted in my chair to look at it.

“An old book?” I said, running my fingers over the worn, leather cover. “Usually they just buy you a drink.”

“It’s not like that,” she insisted. “Although he is gorgeous—probably the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen. Ta...

Revenge: Parts One and Two

Back Story:

Once upon a time, in a parallel universe, the Olympians–a superior civilization the Ancient Greeks worshipped as gods–vowed to stop meddling in human progress. To prevent such interference, the cult of Nike erected barriers between our universe and theirs. On our world, the Olympians receded into myth and legend, continuing to inspire art, music, and stories to this day. But the “gods” left a little more behind than just great material for paranormal romance novels. Their descenda...

Happy Saturday! Today I’m happy to be a part of the cover reveal for The Awakened, a YA science fiction novel by Sara Elizabeth Santana. WIP Wednesday for October 14, 2015

Transcript:

Hey guys, for my monthly update post, I’ve decided to do a vlog. I have a few general updates about what I’ve been working on, and then I have a special announcement just in time for Halloween!

First off, as many of you know, I’ve primarily been working on book three in the Reborn series. This is “Carly’s book” as I’ve been calling it. It’s told entirely from Carly’s POV at this point. Right now, it still doesn’t have a firm title. I had a title Ithought I liked and then decided...

WIP Wednesday for September 2

So, it’s been two months since my last brief update post, and…one year since my last “official” WIP (work-in-progress) Wednesday post, lol. I haven’t been completely unproductive during that time…I just haven’t been blogging as much. I recently posted a short update to the “My Books” section of this blog, so some of this is a repeat of that. I originally created WIP Wednesday to keep you all updated as to what I’m working on. Since I sort of disappeared (well, from social media) for the last...

Relapse Release Part Dos and Updates

Just a quick post to check in and remind all Smashwords, Nook, Apple, and other non-Kindle e-book users that Relapse will be available for your e-readers next week! I’m aiming for a release date of Tuesday, June 2…which should be fine, but I know that, after I upload Relapse to Smashwords, there might be some lag time while the other platforms get updated. I’ll try to post updates and links once Relapse goes live on various sites. So get excited!!! :-) And thanks for being patient. I think in...

The M Word

….Marketing. (Why, what were you thinking?)

I am slowly but surely trying to get back into the swing of writing and blog updating. Just last week I successfully defended my PhD dissertation (hooray!!!), and now my hunt for a “real job”resumes. Since I can’t seem to stick to one field, I’m also thinking ahead to my plans for the rest of the Reborn series, and I’ll update the good ol’ blog about that soon. (It feels good to get back to story writing.) But, like I said, today’s post is about som...

Checking In

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Just a few quick updates and things, and probably the last post for awhile…or, at least, until after April 17th. Or maybe not, since I frequently get the urge to update social media and the good ol’ blog when I’m procrastinating. (But, seriously, if you catch me on here you should yell at me to get off and do my work.)

Last week was my spring “break,” over which I did work, although I didn’t get quite as much done as I’d planned. Instead my laptop crashed mid-week. As...
