New Year’s Resolutions, or Something
Disclaimer: The pictures in this post have nothing to do with the content of the post.
No matter what you celebrate, I hope you had a joyous holiday season and a happy New Year! This is my obligatory year in review/resolutions post.
Looking back at 2013, I don’t have any complaints (although I did a lot of complaining in the midst of it…). Overall, it was a good year. Some stuff was happening at the beginning of it that I never really talked about on here. My family and friends heard a lot abou...

Monday Night Babbling
Here is yet another post about how I’m working on thesequel to Reborn. I need people to bounce ideas off of (person reading this: that means you), and, whether you’ve read Reborn or not, you may be able to help me with some of these. If anything, I think that merely getting theseideas down will help me reorganize my thoughts. Because, you see, I’m a bit stuck. Thankfully, it’s not for a lack of ideas. I have a lot of ideas (yay!), but I’m not sure how I want to go about organizing them into a...

WIP Wednesday
First off, I should say I was inspired to start this new weekly post by Should Be Reading’s WWW post (you can read mine from last week’s here), but I decided to put my own twist on it. You see, although I love reading and I do read, I can’t say I devour book after book like some people. If you do that, you are way more awesome than I. I doread a lot of nonfiction, but unless you want to hear about the potential public health and environmental effects of energy production, I’m not really going...

WWW Wednesday
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading. I heard about it from WhatANerdGirlSays.
The three W’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll be reading next?
WordPress doesn’t seem to like the pics of the book covers I’m trying to include, so this post is going to be boring and picture-less.
What are you currently reading?
Well, to be honest I haven’t quite started it yet, but the plan is to read Divergent by Veronica Roth.
W...

Author Interview: Tricia Andersen
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of talking to author Tricia Andersen, cohost of the Internet radio show Freshly Booked. I’m happy to have her as this week’s featured author! She’s a fan of one of my favorite series – the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Read on to learn more about her work and some fabulous writing advice. As always, there’s an excerpt after the interview!
You can find Tricia here: triciaandersen.com, insidethiswritersmind.com, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon and Secre...

My Interview on Freshly Booked
“As soon as Jasper and I go inside his apartment, his lips find mine again, and he picks me up and carries me to his bed with ease. He sits on the edge of it with me straddling him, rocking myself against his erection. Breathing hard, he reluctantly breaks our kiss to ask me, “Are you sure you want to do this?…”
Want to hear the rest of this steamy excerpt? Then tune in to my interview on the internet radio show Freshly Booked. And hopefully, I’ll be able to read it without giggling.

Reborn Dream Cast
As part of her NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) series of posts, my friend Sara over at WhatANerdGirlSays wrote this post about her dream cast were her WIP The Reawakened ever to be made into a movie (as I’m sure it will be!). Anyway, it made me think about my own dream cast for my debut novel, Reborn. Who would you cast? Let me know in the comments!
1. Candace Accola as Siobhan Elliot
Ms. Accola is one of my favorite actresses on The Vampire Diaries. Her Caroline is beautiful and upbea...

Release Week Wrap-Up
Since you’re taking the time to read this, you probably already know that Reborn released last week: on Tuesday, November 5. You probably also know that I had a pretty exciting release week. The free promo on Amazon went better than I could have dreamed.
Reborn peaked at #15 among free New Adult& College ebooks and #16 among free Paranormal & Urban Fantasy.A handful of people have ratedReborn on Goodreads, and it has a few reviews on Goodreads and Amazon as well. Although (as I expected, ha!)...
