Review – One Naughty Girl by Alexx Andria

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters:

Plot:

Variety: ♥

One thing that I always find interesting when doing these reviews is reading the other reviews that the story gets just to get a feel of how most readers are feeling about it. I have to say, it is a tough crowd out there. Erotica fans have many options with all the free e-books on the market. With all those options, they see the whole gambit of quality in erotica from the stories so good we wish they made mainstream instead of 50 shades, down to the guy who obviously just put a dirty story on line just to see if anyone would buy it.

The negative reviews on this story seemed to feature one particular hot button that I guess was only a matter of time before I ran into: the topic of racism. The main character Landry goes to a sex club where she has an encounter with a black man and his sex slave. Landry refers to the man as her “black buck.” Landry herself is white.

I personally do not agree with the thought of the story or even the character being racist. Racists do not tend to have sex with people who are not of the same race, nor would they endorse it in a story. For the people though, who are offended at the notion of her using the phrase “black buck,” I do get it.

Anyway, let us move onto the story. This story is pretty much a typical bored housewife who goes out to have sexual escapades. She has sex in a nightclub, almost gets kidnapped, and then has an offer to be a spy for the government. Her role would be one of sexual reconnaissance. She would have sex with people to learn stuff during pillow talk. Now, I know this was done in world war two and probably does take place today, but recruiting some random hose wife with no training is just silly. I do not care how much she enjoys sex.

This story did bring the heat. I think there were more words dedicated to sex in this story than not. I would say the sex occupied most of the real estate provided by the 7,000 words. The only real drawback besides the silly plot and the problem mentioned above, was that the main character came off as a bit annoying. If you can put the problems I mentioned aside for some hot sex, give this one a read.

Review – The Fantasy by Nicole Ryan

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters: ♥

Variety: ♥

Plot: ♥

This was my first story by Nicole Ryan. I read that she was a self published author, and I could tell from the story she wrote. Not because it was bad or seemed neglected, but because it invovles a married couple. They do not work together on any level. That is the great thing about indie authors, they can give you completely different takes on genres because they are not subject to the whims of large publishers that want to stick to the same formula beacause they think that’s what works. Many times it does, but when people start thinking “I’ve read this already,” you have a problem.

Anyway, the story revolves around a married couple who seem to be going through their seven year itch. The wife has a BDSM fantasy, and they go to a hotel to act it out. I was a bit conflicted about the heart for plot, but since it was not a boss/employee, I decided to let them have the 5 heart rating.

To be honest, most of the story was pretty boring. It dragged and had too much exposition. It gave the feeling of being in a marriage that had lost its spark. Suddenly, a pillow case gets flung over the wife’s head, and they are in the middle of a dark BDSM fantasy. Apparently the wife wanted to have this scenario played out and discussed it with her husband off screan.

The only people I see having a problem with this would be people who do not like sneek attacks in their BDSM. Most erotica fans should get a big pay off at the end if they can be a bit patient with it. Fortunately, being only 5000 words means you do not need the patience of a saint.

Review – Lust by Laura Cooper

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters:

Variety: ♥

Plot:

I guess it would be fair to say that the first thing that drew me to this story was the title and the series. An erotica series that is based on the seven deadly sins sounds intriguing as well as appropriate. Unfortunately, the actual execution of the story is not nearly as clever.

Tell me if you have heard this one before. A girl moves into a big city trying to pad her resume and leave the past behind. She has not intension of a relationship until she just happens to come across a man who is perfect in every way, and yet never dates anyone. He falls for her instantly. They fuck each other’s brains out. Suddenly, there is a problem in the relationship that has no real explanation yet they need to work through and they do.

Yeah, I have heard that one before also.

The heat level on this one is decent. There is just the right amount of teasing and anticipation before the actual act. I could have used a slightly more detailed description but I find it adequate. There is also a decent amount of variety in the sexual acts to not feel one sided. Again, this is not perfectly executed but I think it works well enough.

I read ahead as far as looking into the plots of the other books in the series. From what I read, it does seem like the plot gets more complicated and sophisticated. For people who like to read a series to its full conclusion this one might be worth their time. The series has completed. The seventh book in the series “Pride” looks like it was recently published. There is a box set for all seven of the books. It runs for 3.99 on Kindle. If you like Laura Cooper and like to read an entire series the box set is definitely practical.

Review – Taken by Selena Kit

Writing Quality: ♥

Variety: ♥

Plot: ♥

Yes everyone, I have officially scored my first 5-heart rating. I looked through all my other posts and no other story got this rating. So what about this one set it above all the rest? Well, I guess it met my criteria. In addition, this was my first m/f/f story. For those of you unfamiliar with m/f, m/m/f, m/f/f, f/m/f and all other combinations, let me explain.

I am not the most knowledgeable guy out there, but I do know the basics. M/f stands for male, female. The sex scenes are strictly between a man and a woman. When you see m/m or f/f, this is self-explanatory. Now, when there are three people in the mix, then it gets a bit complicated. This story was f/f/m, meaning there were two women, and one man. This story is different though than f/m/f. In this story, the two women have sex with each other before they bring the man in. If it were f/m/f, the two women would never have any sexual contact with each other, or very minimal, and only have sex with the man. (Lucky guy either way)

I know many erotica fans already know this stuff, but do not worry, this is the last time I will go over this.

I found this story well developed for the short time allotted and given the simplicity of it. The story is a first person perspective of a woman named “Lizzie” or Elizabeth if you prefer. She is a college student working a job over the summer and the story takes place over the course of that summer. She becomes attracted to her boss, this time a woman named Sarah. I guess a slight variance is better than no variance.

Lizzie and Sarah start having sex with each other. They both enjoy it but Lizzie wants to bring a man into it. Lizzie’s boyfriend is not an option or even a real character because we never even see him, so they have to look for a suitable third wheel. Eventually they decide on David, another guy who works at their office. Sarah is reluctant to be with David on any level until Lizzie talks her into it.

I have to say that I found both Sarah and Lizzie likeable enough. Sarah being the older, more experienced and cynical one, while Lizzie is the younger, naïve one who wants to explore. They worked very well off each other. David on the other hand is just a pole. He is almost just conjured by the author when needed. Sarah and Lizzie offset him very well though. I was hesitant to give the heart for plot, but then I realized that the story was essentially a summer fling. I will not give away the ending, but the ending concludes the story well in my opinion.

I do feel a need to warn people. There is woman on woman sex in this story. The majority of it is in fact. If that kind of thing makes you uncomfortable, you should steer clear. If that does not bother you, definitely give this one a read.

Review – The Proposition

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters:

Variety:

Plot:

Is it me, or are there A LOT of stories that involve women who think they are just average Janes and then fall in love with some hot guy who is their boss or somebody very high up in the company? I know women like guys with authority, but none of the women I ever met even gave a hint of attraction to their boss or a company higher up. Of course, I guess that is not something you just bring up in casual conversation.

Anyway, The Proposition is a basic story where a woman lusts after a man high up in her office. How these guys manage to get to up their respective corporate ladders at a young age is beyond me. He invites her to a lunch meeting, and then up to his suite, they fuck.

There is a twist ending to the story. I am tempted to spoil it because it is so lame. I will not let the cat out of the bag, but if you really want to know the ending without getting the story, you can read about it on Goodreads. The story was free when I got it though, so it will not break you.

I will say though that the sex scene was fairly good. It was a bit short. Then again, how long a scene can you have if the story itself is that short?

This story is a proverbial quickie. If you are looking for something you can get for free and read in an hour or so, this would be a good choice. If you just want some good erotica, keep looking.

Why Monster Porn?

Before we leave this great month of October and go out trick or treating, or going to our Halloween parties, I thought I should give a quick talk on why people might be taking an interest in this type of erotica. Why have sex with something that is not human? In the real world, if these things did exist, the thought would probably never cross our mind. Yet in the realm of fantasy, we are finding ourselves more and more accepting of things we would not find in the real world. We accept their mere concept, then accept them physically in the story, we believe interacting with them, and eventually we are open to the thought of these beings having a sexual appeal to them, and them finding one in us. What I shall do is go over each of the monsters I have covered this month, and try to deduce what it is about each monster that people find appealing enough to include them in erotica fantasies.

Of all the monsters on my list, vampires are definitely the most human, so it makes sense that the first and still most popular monster erotica centers on them. It would take far too long to explain the origins about vampire tales. I will say that that sex plays a great part in it. There is a belief that Lilith, a sister of Eve who was born from the earth refused to be subservient to Adam and left the Garden of Eden. Apparently she mated with an angel called Samuel and was later cursed making her a vampire.

There are many little details adding to the vampire mystique. One goes back to the first Dracula film starring Bela Lugosi. No director told him to use the accent he did. Nobody gave him the idea on inflecting his voice when he said, “I never drink….wine.” That set the stage for our modern day obsession with them. The original story of Dracula was never meant to be a romance by any means. (Seriously, read the book.) Different interpretations through the years have put that spin on the vampire sub-genre. Vampires were the original bad boys.

Let us talk about their technique for a moment. Vampires are known for biting necks. There do have other means, according to which story you follow, but neck biting seems to be the most accepted practice. Practically it makes sense because the jugular vein is there and that is an effective means of getting the most blood quickly. Now, when most of us start making out with other people, we usually start kissing on the lips and cheek. When we graduate from the simple kissing and start getting more intimate, the first thing most of us go for is the neck. A kiss is much different from a bite, but when we see the bite, it reminds us of our first brush with sexual actions, at least on a sub conscious level.

While not as human as vampires, werewolves are usually human. This can afford a fantasy of having sex with a monster that has a human skin to keep things simple. Inside that human lives a rampaging beast that seems to have no other force guiding him other than instinct. Werewolves represent an animal magnetism that we all carry inside us, or at least would like to think we do.

When a human turns into a werewolf, he is giving in to animal instincts and carnal desires. What is a werewolf if not the ultimate expression of letting go of your inhibitions? Much of sex is letting go of inhibitions. Maybe people can do without all the hair, but the carnal desires that werewolves radiate is what gives them their appeal.

Yeah, this is a tough one. I guess there is something about a creature that is dumb enough for you to control. If you do Trolls correctly, they can be well endowed. Yeah this is a far stretch and the story that I reviewed was not good enough for me to spend time on. I do not recommend Troll erotica, so let us just move on.

This one is almost as difficult as the Trolls are. I think dino-erotica is mostly meant to be funny, as many female readers seem to react that way. I guess we all still carry that fascination for dinosaurs we had as children. Fascination can become sexual as we progress into adulthood. There is also a wide variety of dinosaurs from which to choose. Dinosaur stories are mostly intended to be humorous as I said. At least they are sexier than Trolls.

At first, tentacle erotica can seem like a pretty sick fantasy. To be honest, it is. Why then is it such a strong staple of porn and erotica? It personifies a concept that is central to sexual practice: Control.

Despite what many people will tell you, sex is seldom an equal partnership. Usually there is one person who is mostly in charge and the other that does not want to make any decisions. This is why BDSM has become more prominent as an erotica sub-genre, and stories will sell the “Alpha Male” aspect.

In tentacle porn, the woman is completely subjugated. She is restrained, has her clothes violently removed, and has every orifice filled. Some may call this rape like; others see it as giving up complete control. When normal humans practice this lifestyle, they need to bring in an assortment of apparatuses. A single creature or entity that can perform all this with no help from technology is enviable.

As tempted as I am to say “Dragons, Nuff said,” I have plenty to say on this subject. Sex with a dragon seems to be the most impractical out of all the monsters listed here. At least the Trolls have a basic humanoid design that would make it possible. Even with magic and the ability to shape shift there is still the question of “wouldn’t the dragon just eat me?”

Dragons capture our imagination at first glance. The vampire appeals to a normal sense of beauty that we all have, but dragons fill us with a sense of wonder that can feel erotic if given in the right context.

What is the appeal of the bad boy? He gives a sense of security, although often a false one. Women have a need to feel safe with their partner. They want to know that their mate can and will protect them. Dragons are the ultimate protectors. You put a dragon up against every other monster on this list at once, and the dragon will come out on top. They can provide security, wealth, and status.

Monster erotica is meant to be silly fun for the most part. However, it would not even be silly fun if it did not tap into some primal desire we all had. As fantasy and tolerance of other cultures become more prominent, we are bound to see more monster erotica, and even see it touch the mainstream. It may take time, but the trends do suggest it can happen.

Review – Kiss of Flame by Madelene Martin

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters: ♥

Variety: ♥

Plot:

Before I finished of Monster month, I had to review at least one story that had the most awesome, kick ass, and epic monsters of all time, my personal favorite: DRAGONS! I will admit that my passion for dragons may have had an influence on the rating, but hey, dragons are too awesome to not create a bias. Who has not enjoyed paintings of a scantily clad woman with a dragon in her presence? Nobody can tell me this premise does not work.

So how good is this story?

The plot is nothing we have not seen before. The princess is sacrificed to the dragon so he does not burn down the castle, village, and all the crops. Of course, this is erotica, so instead of eating the princess, he takes her back to his cave to make her his sex slave and brood mare.

All puns about fire and being hot aside, this story did some interesting sex scenes. The dragon does sexual acts to the princess as a dragon and as a human hybrid. The author did a good job of describing the dragon, and it looks awesome. The dragon only gets rough with her when she disobeys. Once she gets into it though, she becomes a wanton sex goddess eager to please her dragon and forcing us to tame ours.

I have read some other reviews of the story saying that the princess acted week and was nervous about being fucked too hard. This is a fair statement, but you have to remember this girl is a virgin and she is having sex with a dragon. That is enough to make any woman nervous.

Overall, I do recommend this one for any fans of erotica. Dragons make everything more awesome and dragons with beautiful women cannot be beat!

Now, for a quick announcement: This blog is going to be a lot less active in November. I do have some serious obligations that need to be tended to in real life so I just want to give you all a heads up. There will be entries, just not as many as there have been and will be in future months. I will be back in full swing in December though. Thank you to all who have been following me so far. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see or know about, please feel free to comment.

Review – Ruin of Tentacles Vol. 1

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat: ♥

Characters:

Variety: ♥

Plot:

When you think of tentacle porn, Hentai is what comes to mind for most people. This story takes place in Europe though, and the characters are not Japanese. I did not think I could finish monster porn month without including a story about tentacles. This had to have been the most interesting time I had looking for a story to review. I came across stories about horny aliens, plants, and even plasma. You heard me correct, plasma porn.

There is almost nothing to this story as far as plot goes. A couple, who is having trouble with their sex life, goes on a vacation. The vacation takes place in a private villa in the European countryside. They take a Jacuzzi in a secret garden on the grounds. A bunch of tentacles comes out of the Jacuzzi and the fun ensues.

The sex scene with the tentacles actually titillated me. Not only does the married couple end up in the thrall of the tentacles, but also the female caretaker is ensnared and is just as active a participant. Every orifice you can think of filled on both women. The description is pretty detailed and the scene goes on for more than half the story.

A fair word of warning: If you have never read or seen tentacle sex, there is an element of rape to it in most cases. They use the word “reluctant” in the story description, but there is still a forceful undertone. As I mentioned before, there is a married couple, and the man is penetrated just as much as the woman is, so stay clear of this one if you do not want to see that.

If you are curious about tentacle porn and can handle what I mentioned above, or you are just looking for another tentacle erotica, this one may be for you.

Review – Romanced by the Raptors by Natalie Black

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat:

Characters: ♥

Variety:

Plot: ♥

This one was interesting to find. I was amazed at the variety of dinosaurs that made it into the pages of dino-erotica. Raptors were featured plenty, as were T-Rex’s. There was a triceratops story. I will bet he could satisfy at least two women by himself. There was a stegosaurus story. I even found one called “Pleasured by the Plesiosaurs.” For those who do not remember second grade well enough, the Plesiosaurs is a large aquatic dinosaur snake.

There are a couple problems with the dino stories. First seems to be that the authors, or at least the artists that do the covers for them, do not seem to know the difference between a raptor and a T-Rex. The cover to this book is one example. The other problem is that they did not get the memo about Pterodactyls. It has been recently discovered that Pterodactyls did not exist. I know this may come as a shock to some, but the scientists have spoken.

This story developed well in the short amount of pages it received. It is essentially a story about two women who are not satisfied with the roles that society as placed on them and they want more. Janee is the woman loved by the whole village and wanted by every man. Tara is her best friend who envies the attention she gets. When Janee starts disappearing in the middle of the night, Tara starts to follow her and discovers that she has been having raptor gangbangs in the forest.

There was a little bit of heat when the two women got together. That was interrupted when those darn raptors showed up though. The women mostly used their hands and mouths to get the raptors off. When two of the raptors finally mounted them, it was not that big a deal. I think the biggest turn of for me though was the cover. That is not exactly high-def there.

I did get this story free, so I guess I can say it was worth the price of admission. To be honest, I am looking forward to getting back to erotica about consenting humans.

Review – Princess Miri by Cerys du Lys

Writing Quality: ♥

Heat:

Characters:

Variety:

Plot: ♥

What monster is getting lucky with a human female today? Why, a troll of course, and I am not talking about some jerk who harasses her on the internet. This troll is a big dumb hairy, slightly hunched over humanoid looking thing.

This story was very short. I am pleased to say. The story revolves around a spoiled princess that always gets her way. She receives a gift on her birthday by an anonymous source. The present turns out to be a troll, trained to obey her every command.

Miri keeps on being mean to the troll, which leads to sexual teasing. Eventually the teasing backfires and the troll has sex with her. I am not going to give the details on how that happens for the sake of not spoiling it. To clarify, she does give consent.

The sex is not very hot. Miri does seem to enjoy it, but I it seemed pretty fake to me. There were some funny elements. Miri using the troll’s cock as a towel rack was kind of funny.

Oh yeah, did I mention she names the troll “Thump?”

Though Miri is not a very likeable character, it is a bit refreshing to see a woman in monster porn that is not a victim. She is the dominating force through most of the story. The end has a plot twist that sets up future stories with these characters that might be more interesting.

I do not recommend this one, unless you have a real hankering for troll porn. I can say I have not seen many featuring trolls.
