Fugitives from Northwoods by Chris Bostic Highly Recommended

What a great book, my daughter and I read this in the car on Audible while we were traveling. This story had us discussing what was going to happen next. We cheered for the good guys and booed the bad guys. We laughed, and cried, and shared their joys and pains. The characters were so very relatable and the world building was excellent. You really were immersed in the story from step one. I really felt as if I were there living right beside those kids. All in all a good story, we'll be reading the entire series. The narration was excellent! Well done Chris!

His red-headed middle child has a passion for reading (and is a budding young author). His youngest child is a very smart toddler who's growing up too fast while keeping him young at heart.
Somehow, between a full time job and a busy family, Chris finds time to write.

Slumber by Christy Sloat
What happens when a princess murders her prince? This princess doesn't get tiaras and ballgowns; she gets her own room at Spindle Ridge Asylum.
Christy Sloat has wowed us before with her YA Paranormal Romance, let her do it again with her first Fantasy Duology for teens. Slumber (book one) is a fractured fairy tale that will amaze you until the very last page.

Not all princesses get their happily ever after…They tell me I killed my boyfriend Phillip in cold blood. I stabbed him twenty one times. I’m only seventeen years old, and I am serving life in Spindle Ridge Asylum for the Criminally Insane.I don’t remember killing him, so it’s really hard to believe I’m capable of murder. In fact I don’t remember anything before I came to Spindle Ridge, not even my boyfriend.I can only grasp onto my realistic dreams while the madness of the asylum threatens to pull me under. I dream I’m a beautiful princess and there is an evil faerie named Maleficent who is bent on my destruction. The dreams are the closest thing I have to memories of my life, except they aren’t real.I’m crazy. I’m not a princess. They’re the mad illusions of an irrational teenage girl, right? They've assigned me a new doctor, and she says I can trust her, and that she’ll help me see the truth of who I really am. When she arrived she brought a new patient, Sawyer, who is everything Spindle Ridge isn’t: exciting, mysterious and beautiful. He promises he’s here to rescue me. Trusting either of them frightens me.Could it be possible that my dreams are more than just the imaginings of a delusional girl? Could they be truth?

Aubrey Evans is living every author’s dream; her sizzling romance novel is being turned into a blockbuster film. She would be celebrating this momentous event, if she wasn’t busy fighting over every tiny production detail with the maddeningly cavalier director, Kole Camden.
When news of their heated rivalry hits the gossip columns, drastic measures must be taken to save their sinking project. In an elaborate PR hoax, she is publicly linked to Greyson Meyers, the swoon-worthy star of her movie. A whirl-wind love affair is staged for the couple to mirror the steamy chapters of her own books.
Can the introverted author resist the charms of Hollywood’s sexiest leading man? Or will love find her in the City of Angels?
If you are looking for a light-hearted, funny read to indulge in poolside, look no further!
Wicked Reads had this to say about Adapted for Film, "Having been a fan of Mrs. Rourke's YA novels for awhile now, I was very nervous to hear of her newest book. A romantic comedy? No, this would not work! I was 100% wrong. This book was filled with everything I love about her other series; quick wit and characters that you can relate to ... From start to finish I was enthralled in the story. I literally could not put it down and read it in a matter of hours."

“I think I get it. If a butterfly were to land on you, its touch would be so delicate that you would wonder if it had really happened at all, or if it was merely your mind fantasizing that such a rare beauty would honor you with the gift of their touch.”A gorgeous man uttering such poetry temporarily short circuited my brain. Catching myself doing the slack-jawed fan-girl thing, I quickly snapped my mouth shut and averted my gaze to a nonthreatening cement turtle by the edge of the gazebo.“Yep,” I muttered to the turtle. “I think you’ve got it.”Unfortunately for my last remaining shred of dignity, Greyson wasn’t done with his tutorial. He closed the distance between us with a burning hunger blazing in his eyes. A hot flush rose in my cheeks, creeping clear up to my earlobes as his sculpted body skimmed against mine. Toned, rigid perfection only a few thin layers of fabric away …“What are you doing?” My voice failed me, coming out in a raspy yelp.“Making sure I’ve got this right.” Temptation, of the most carnal variety, emanated off of him. His focused gaze followed the curve of my lips, the lift of one brow promising toe-curling fun.It had been a really long time since someone had looked at me like that. Much less one of the sexiest men on the planet. That almost never happened.“Aiden wouldn’t grab Paige, wouldn’t pull her to him.” Raising one hand, he traced the length of my arm with two fingers.Starting at my wrist, he worked his way up. His skin never actually made contact, but whispered over mine in an electrifying rush that rolled and built. Bowing his head, his silky locks tickled my cheek. Hot breath teased over my collarbone, awakening a need so powerful my hands curled into tight fists at my sides. Agonizingly slow, he raised his head. The blissful torment of his lips teased over mine, setting the veil of energy between us alive with desire.“He wouldn’t want to crush her lips with his need,” he murmured against my mouth, “but would wait … patiently for her to close that last … remaining … space.”

Four book Feature!
These are definitely 4 books you should read because lets face it.....your kindle or whatever reader you have is hungry! It's a definitely awesome 1 click that you will truly enjoy!
The Brown House
By Christy Sloat
From the beginning of the book I was pulled into the world of Brylee Branson and her friends. I found myself getting lost in the story which is so hard for me but in this book it was effortless. I shared in Brylee's love for Ephraim and her sadness at the loss of her California dream love. Christy does a wonderful job of putting you into the main character's shoes and helping you feel what she feels and see what she sees. The pictures she paints through her storytelling are beautiful and amazing and you can tell that she really understands the paranormal. It was such an amazing book and left me wanting for more. I can't wait until the sequel goes from pen to paper out of the mind of an excellent and talented writer like Christy. This book gets 5 stars from me!
Forever and Always by Cindy Springsteen
This is not your average coming of age story. It's not your average love story. It's a beautiful trip through life. With an addicting storyline that wraps you in its spell Forever and Always Destiny is a beautiful tale of love, loss, and finding love again. The characters are very approachable and I identified with their feelings. Cindy Springsteen is a very gifted author and I really enjoyed this story. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again. I can't wait for book two to come out. Highly Recommended.
Peregrine
by
Becki Brannen (where my new book boyfriend lives)
I'm not much of a romance person but when I read Peregrine I couldn't put it down. Becki Brannen's a writing genius. She really gets you into the head of her main character. I felt my heartstrings pulled at going on a honeymoon to mourn your lost loved one. Stavros' character was written brilliantly I loved his heart and his style. This is such a beautiful story amazingly written and I know I will be reading more of Becki's books.(Let's face it Stavros is HOT and the storyline is addicting)
And of course My Book
Broken Earth By Lee Ryder
In a world with no adults, no laws to protect them, and no government to control the streets where dangerous gangs wage war over territory in the city, children forge forward to change what their forefathers took for granted. In crumbling cities that are surrounded by immense cemeteries where danger lurks around every corner. Jess lost her family when the plagues came leaving her alone and afraid to take on life in the city head on. Ian lost everything to the plague except for his sister Lucie. Can he protect Lucie from the violent life on the streets that threatens to steal her innocence.
With danger closing in around them; struggling against immeasurable odds can they survive in Broken Earth?

But instead, I'll say I don't want to write like everyone else. I don't want to craft stories you've read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you've ever read.
I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad.
