(via A COLD WITCHES’ BREW)
A paradise is now lost and gone,
never to be found again.
Whomever the demons come upon,
no more peace but only pain.
Like a cold witches’ brew,
an Oasis for all.
Now a hell for the few
who remain to tell all.

Vampires know how to party
until the wee morning hours.
Once the bright light of day appears,
it’s time to listen to your fears.

5.0 out of 5 stars A true ‘thrilogy!
Gentlemen, are you ready?”
The very statement gives you a chill that races up your spine-The Dead at Heart captures you and launches the reader into the next adventure in the Dead Game ‘thrilogy!’ The new installment focuses on the relationship of Shana and William and the turmoil they face as they work through their challenges.
Susanne Leist keeps the final book just as clever with her amazing talent for creating a world beyond our own. The tale remains true to the Goth style vampire setting adding twists in the story line to keep you turning the page. Love the setting of the book from the stoic mansions of Florida to the battles between vampires and werewolves. Leist’s series is a thrilling read, and highly recommend.

(via BY THE SEA)
Come with me to the pool by the sea.
Oasis is the best place to be.
Relax by the pool or sit at the bar.
Tourists visit this place from near and far.
I think I’ll take a dip in the pool.
I am definitely not a fool.
I’d never pass up a chance for fun
Or a tan in the Florida sun.
Wait. Come and look over here.
I found a book on the chair.
A small town is a beautiful place.
I see the stunned look on your face.
Oasis Hotel resembles this one.
But it isn’t always fun in the sun.
It is a haven for The Dead.
Is the heat going to your head?
The sky is turning cloudy and dark.
I can see shadows over the park.
What’s that standing behind you?
It’s not one shadow but two.
More shadows are coming ashore.
I’m not going to wait for more.
Our destiny seems to be in this book.
I’m leaving now without a second look.

What lies behind them?
Pick one.
The only limit is your imagination.

A FORCE WE CANNOT BEND
Waves hit the rocks
with frozen blocks.
They plow through the sand,
sharp claws in their hand.
They ravage the shore,
coming back for more.
A battle with no end.
A force we cannot bend.

Lined with trees shedding their pink petals.
A bright and sunny road
Filled with wishes & dreams.
No worries or despairs
Until the night.

(via THE GAMES BEGIN)
Metal clangs shut over the doors and windows.
Trapped in a house sealed as tight as a tomb,
Gregg must solve the computer’s complex riddles to escape.
Vampires and werewolves, sworn enemies of the night,
stare at each other as time begins to click away.
Freezing air blasts from the vents,
followed by a mechanized female voice.
“Gentleman, are you ready?” echoes around them.
