My Newest Release Is Here! It's Time To Lose Control
Check it out!! :-)

Myles Oliver Dayton likes control in every aspect of his life. He desires it, demands it in the board room and his bedroom. But when his teenage crush walks into his office to be his temporary assistant, the tight restraint he kept on his emotions starts to come undone. Something he couldn’t allow. His idea of love is demanding and possessive, and in the end there would only be pain—for both of them.
Cassie Sorrelson grabs onto opportunities when they come along and assisting Myles with all his demands is an opportunity she isn’t about to pass up. Sexy and controlling, he has her breathing hard and soon yearning for more than a few days together at the corporate retreat. When he suddenly pulls back, though, and refuses the desire she knows is running hot within him, Cassie is going to have to work at getting what she wants … making Myles lose control.
EXCERPT: Yes. Myles was a force all of his own that took exactly what he wanted to satisfy his need for control. There was probably a hand print branded on her skin to prove it. But she damn well liked every stroke, rough grip, and slap. Cassie wasn’t sure what that said about her and, honestly, couldn’t care less. Now that she had a taste, it was an impossibility for her not to want more—more of him, more of what he was capable of giving, and more of what he kept hidden from view just below the surface. Because for all that no-nonsense, unyielding temperament and rigid exterior, underneath was an entirely different man who was both warm and affectionate.
That Myles had pulled her close, trailed light kisses along her forehead, and whispered how beautiful she was as they lied in bed exhausted and sated. That one had cradled her against his chest while she slept, and in less than a day, managed to reach in and tug at something deep inside. She wasn’t sure how, but this intriguingly complicated man had gotten to her and she wanted to know everything about him.
“Cassie. Are you going to say something or continue to stare at me with that smile on your face?”
What? Crap. “Um, sorry. Thank you. You didn’t have to go to all the trouble of bringing me breakfast.”
Myles shrugged. “Don’t thank me. It was more of a bribe.”
Cassie chewed on that tidbit of information for a second and concluded it didn’t make a lick of a difference. No matter what ulterior motives he might have or said he had, she was sticking with the original thoughtful and sweet theory. Call her curious, though. “A bribe for what?”
“Motivation. There are some things that need to get done and put together before the meeting today. Since I had much more important and pressing matters needing my immediate attention last evening, we didn’t get much work accomplished.” Winking, he reached behind him and handed her a T-shirt. “Here put this on.”
Did she have to cover herself up? She was hoping to do a little motivating herself. They could squeeze in a quickie before getting down to the work stuff, right? “So, the idea of watching me eat in the nude doesn’t appeal to you?”
“Baby, I will always prefer you naked. But if I see that gorgeous body for more than a second, I promise you the only person who will be eating is me when I bury my head between your legs.”

Hard To Be Good by Laura Kaye

Hard Ink Tattoo owner Jeremy Rixey has taken on his brother’s stateside fight against the forces that nearly killed Nick and his Special Forces team a year before. Now, Jeremy’s whole world has been turned upside down—not the least of which by a brilliant, quiet blond man who tempts Jeremy to settle down for the first time ever.
Recent kidnapping victim Charlie Merritt has always been better with computers than people, so when he’s drawn into the SF team’s investigation of his army colonel father’s corruption, he’s surprised to find acceptance and friendship—especially since his father never accepted who Charlie was. Even more surprising is the heated tension Charlie feels with sexy, tattooed Jeremy, Charlie’s opposite in almost every way.
With tragedy and chaos all around them, temptation flashes hot, and Jeremy and Charlie can’t help but wonder why they’re trying so hard to be good...
EXCERPT:
“You should be inside celebrating,” Jeremy said, his voice a raw scrape. “You and Marz did an amazing thing this morning.” An hour ago, Marz and Charlie had cracked open a heavily encrypted microchip that contained a wealth of information that not only seemed likely to help the team clear its name, but proved that Charlie’s father hadn’t been dirty, like they’d all thought. “And I’m so happy for you about your dad.”
A wounded darkness passed through Charlie’s gaze, but he finally nodded. “Didn’t feel right without you there.” Pink filtered into his cheeks, and damn if that wasn’t as cute as it was sexy. Jeremy wasn’t sure anything had ever made him blush.
“I’m just not—” Jeremy shrugged and looked down at Charlie’s chest again. Having seen the guy dress more than once, he knew that shirt covered lean muscle that ran from strong shoulders down to his narrow hips. Jeremy fisted his hands against the urge to burrow them under the hem of the tee. After weeks of looking, and wanting, he wasdying to touch. Jeremy found Charlie hard to read though, and hadn’t wanted to do anything to scare him off. “—very good company right now. I’m sorry if that—”
Charlie nudged Jeremy’s chin up with his hand, his fingers just barely touching Jer’s stubble-covered skin. But then his thumb landed softly against his lips.
Jeremy’s heartbeat kicked up and his lips fell open. Slowly, oh so tentatively, Charlie stroked the soft pad of his thumb back and forth across them.
“Charlie,” Jeremy whispered as arousal surged through his body, spiking his pulse, tensing his muscles, hardening his dick.
Uncertainty poured off Charlie as the man’s hand trembled where it touched him, but those blue eyes absolutely blazed desire. No way was Jeremy imagining that.
“You’re always good company, to me,” Charlie said in a low voice, his gaze dropping to Jeremy’s lips. Charlie leaned in closer, and closer still, and Jeremy could hardly believe the other man was the one to initiate this. But he was fucking thrilled.
Jeremy swallowed, his lips anticipating that first soft brush. Charlie was so close his shaky breath caressed Jeremy’s lips. His pace was maddening but so damn sexy Jer could barely breathe. And then Charlie’s eyelids fluttered closed and he was right there…

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a while,” he whispered in my ear, still pressed against me as he unzipped my dress.
Me too, I wanted to say. But I didn’t. I was adrift in the onslaught of sensation as he slid the fabric from me, trailing kisses down my back as it went. Making me aware as I never had been of how sensitive the skin there could be. When he reached the small of my back, he lingered, kneading my skin with his tongue and teeth. His hands ran down my legs and then back up to my breasts, and I savored the feel of his fingers. My breaths came heavier. I had been needing this for too long.
He rose and turned me toward him, towering over me. His cap was gone and his dark hair was askew, as though he had run his fingers through it, giving him that sexy just-woke-up look. I slid my fingers from the waist of his jeans, underneath his shirt, to his muscled back. The ridges of strength there were too tempting beneath my fingertips. How did he find the time to work out that much? I had to see with my own eyes. Fisting the hem of his shirt in my hands, I pulled his t-shirt up to remove it. Why should I be the only one standing here naked? With a chuckle, he complied, lifting the shirt over his head and flinging it away in the casual manner of an underwear model on TV.
Sure, I had imagined what he looked like with his shirt off, but the reality was ten times better. He had a runner build, but that was filled out with muscle. The planes of his chest were topped by strong shoulders and arms, which seemed to blossom over the lean ridges of his abdominals, creating a definite contrast. I couldn’t help reaching out and touching him. I ran my hands over his skin, tracing my way upward to the light coating of black hair on his pectorals. He leaned his pelvis into me, forehead on mine, his erection pressing into me, making me shiver with anticipation.
We were on the brink of something oh-so-good, and I was dying to plunge ahead. Yet, I hesitated. Questions burned in my mind. I tried to hold them back, knowing serious talk would ruin the moment. That lasted about two seconds before I gave in.
“Um…” I said.
He lifted his head from mine and looked at me.
I cocked my head at him. “Did you just say you’ve been wanting to do this for a while?” Had he been scoping me out all this time?
He nodded. “Who wouldn’t? Look at you. You’re gorgeous.”
The smoldering look he gave me trumped anything I observed on the physical plane. The messages coming from him on a subliminal level promised pleasure that made me squirm with heat.
“You know it’s going to be good between us, Ava,” Cole said.

Guarding Midnight by Kacey Hammel
*waves to readers* Hello everyone. I know some won’t know me, so I’ll give you a brief overview into who I am.
I’m married, mom of three teens, and a cat & dog, raising cattle and chickens, and loving the country life. I was born a country girl and even though I lived in a couple cities for a little bit of my life, you can’t take the country outta me! *g* There’s nothing like it.
My biggest joy in life is hanging out with my family. Cuddle time with my kids – who though have reached teen years, still have time for us old folks!! LOL – and quiet moments with the Hubster are the best ways to spend any day of the week. I also enjoy shopping & lunch with good friends when schedule allows.
I write Erotic Romances, mainly Contemporaries, though I do dabble in some Paranormal. I love everything about the Romance industry, and have been an Avidreader for a very long time.
I am also a very die-hard TV watcher. Seriously, between two satellite receivers, we tape about 60 shows a week, and watch most seasons of each show in the summer evenings when there’s nothing no chores left to do and nothing on TV. I’m a huge fan of Supernatural, Grimm, NCIS franchise, Law & Order: SVU, Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, Revenge, Blacklist, Nashville, Criminal Minds & Blue Bloods – to name a few. Yes, I know, that list is more than a few! LOL
Happy Reading!

Without pause, he hurried after the tantalizing hips swaying and maneuvering around the crowd. Men and women called out how amazing she’d been tonight. Shree nodded and waved as she marched by them all.
He liked an independent woman, but she needed to understand he wasn’t kidding about her not going anywhere alone. Especially after placing a call to his buddy at the FBI to learn more about this Hagen fellow. What he’d learned from Frank Shaw didn’t impress him.
Hagen was one of the bureau’s most wanted criminals. Nothing stuck to this guy. Every open and shut case dissolved quickly, no matter how much evidence was against him. Witnesses changed their minds or went missing, and drug dealers were willing to serve life to keep mum about who their supplier was.
It was only a matter of time before Hagen brought down the hammer on Charlie’s club. The FBI now knew of Gavin’s appearance at the club and was willing to work with him to bring Hagen in. Whatever it took. Frank was coming to town as soon as he could arrange it.
He pushed through the side door and followed her out into the warm evening air. “Shree, wait.”
She stopped at the bottom of the enclosed stairwell and turned swiftly, her legs locked in a fighting stance.
Surprised, he also couldn’t help but admire her. She’d been trained to protect herself. Smart woman.
“I’m just upstairs, Gavin. Really, I’ll be fine.”
He moved closer and leaned against the wall. “Not your choice. You’re stuck with me.”
She harrumphed. “Don’t you think your girlfriend will get annoyed with you following me around all the time?”
Gavin grinned. So she’d given his relationship status some thought. Nice. “Girlfriend?”
She shifted and grabbed the railing. “Charlie’s my boss. I understand she’s trying to protect me, but to have her boyfriend follow me around at all hours of the day and night…” She shook her head. “I wouldn’t like it much if my boyfriend was in the company of another woman so much.”
“That’s a good point, but not relevant. And Charlie knows I’ll be all over you twenty-four-seven if I need to. She’s okay with that.”
Shree’s eyes widened. “If you have an open relationship with her, that’s your business, but don’t drag me into any sick games. Goodnight.”
As she turned and ascended the stairs, he grabbed her wrist. “Hey, come on. Wait.” She turned her head and glared at him. “Charlie and I are friends. We’re not in a relationship. Her brother is one of my oldest friends.”
Her arm relaxed in his hold. Gavin took it as a good sign that she was attracted to him and moved up onto the first step. Standing on the fourth plank, she towered over him, but it put him at perfect eye level with her tits. He fought the need to ogle at them.
Smoky black abysses stared at him, and his gaze clung to hers. Seconds rolled by. His gut clenched and his blood heated. She drew him in—the loneliness he saw behind those eyes, the air of solitude, had him eager to know more. He rarely cared about the many layers of a woman, but he anticipated there was a lot to Shree. She intrigued him.
Hell, he barely knew her. Yet, very little seemed as important as getting to know what made her tick. What made her laugh, get up in the mornings, and even what could piss her off. And he definitely wanted to know what made her hot and wet.
Her pulse beat fast beneath his thumb. His own accelerated as she shifted to face him and descended a step. Her breath quickened in the silence around them.
“Shree,” he whispered. He caressed her elbow as he advanced another step, bringing them eye-to-eye.
She swallowed hard, nostrils flaring. Gavin tightened his hold on her wrist. Her breath hitched and she swayed as he moved in closer. He acted fast and gripped her hips.
Her hands wandered up onto his shoulders, bringing her in closer. Shree’s head dipped toward him slowly and Gavin tightened his fingers on her skin, anxious to pull her in even more, but he held back to let her make the first move.
A door slammed behind them, the boom cutting through the air. He jerked and glanced to his right at a couple walking to their car.
He turned back to her as she scurried up a step away from him. “No. No, this can’t happen. Goodnight, Gavin,” she stated, then turned and fled up the remaining steps.
Gavin held onto the railing and cursed whoever interrupted the moment.

“Are your eyes closed?” Silas asked him quieter than before, softer and gentler.
“Yes Sir.” Jonah felt vulnerable in that moment, in a way he thought he’d left behind a long time ago. To distract himself a bit he let his hands come down to rest on his stomach, let his fingers slide gently over the skin there, but no lower. He didn’t have permission for that yet, after all.
“I’ve got you,” Silas promised almost as if he could tell what Jonah was feeling without even being able to see him. “You’re safe with me remember? You can relax and trust me Jonah. You can trust me to keep you safe, to tell you what to do. You can trust me with all of that. With all of you.”
“I know. I do.” Jonah fought back the swell of emotions in his chest as the mixture of devotion and affection that he always felt towards Silas threatened to burst free. Slowly, deliberately, he inhaled again. Exhaled. Inhaled, exhaled, repeated it until he felt himself even out, felt himself center.
“Good.” Silas said it roughly, voice ragged in a way that let Jonah know just how much his admittance meant to Silas. “I wish I could see you right now. You’re gorgeous Jonah, you know that don’t you? I bet you’re beautiful the way you are right now, laid back on that bed with your eyes closed, cock hard and body open. I bet you’re perfect. I’ve always thought you would be. Ever since the first time I saw you.”
Jonah’s eyes flew open in stunned surprise before he slammed them shut again. Silas’s voice was ragged but honest, deep and thick with that hot, honey drawl that Jonah loved so much.
“You’ve seen me?” The thought that Silas had seen him, knew what he looked like, and so obviously approved, made Jonah feel slightly giddy with a mixture of pride and relief.
“Oh yes.” Silas sounded amused for a moment then. “I’ve seen you many times Jonah. I am your handler after all. I’ve read your file, seen videos. Sometimes I watch you on the security cameras on missions. You’re a thing of beauty, Jonah. All lethal grace and power that draws the eye. Even when you’re off mission, even when you’re wandering around whatever city or town you decide to spend your time in, you’re still fascinating. Captivating.”
“And do I?” Jonah couldn’t help but ask. He needed to know, burned to know for certain whether or not the fascination he felt was mutual. “Do I captivate you?”
“Completely,” Silas admitted quietly and with that sort of brutal honesty in his voice that Jonah adored.

She spins from my arms and drops her chemise to her ankles. Turning her head, long raven locks drape her bare shoulder as she glances back at me. I stare at her naked flesh. Last night in the tunnel darkness shrouded us. Now, in the bright morning light, I see her for the first time.
Her gorgeous hair stops right before her rounded hips. She clings to the oak bed post and eases herself around. The pink of her breasts stare back at me. I swallow hard over the lump wedged at the back of my throat, blocking my words. My gaze traverses the length of her, stopping on the beautiful patch of hair between her legs. All the air in my lungs lunges out of me in a gasp.
“Why are you still clothed?” She tilts her head as a coy smile weaves over her lips.
“Because I cannot take my eyes off of you. Words fail me. They would do no good anyway. There are none to describe you, Snow. Gorgeous. Stunning. Beautiful. They pale in comparison to how my eyes see you. How my heart feels for you. But perhaps with actions, I can show you.” I rush her and sweep her into my arms, squashing her breasts against me.
Crushing my lips over hers, I sweep her mouth, telling her things with my tongue that I cannot say. Soft moans fill our kiss, and my feisty Snow works hard to get me out of my clothes. Hating to unlock our lips, I step back to undo the last of my trousers.
“I finally get to see all of you, too.” She stalks around me like a tiger eyeing its prey. “I like this part best.” She drags a finger the length of my cock, which stands at attention waiting to pleasure her. “But, I also like this part.” Her hands palm the width of my torso. I fight back a smile itching to curl over my lips at her little game. “I really like these.” Gripping my hands, she pulls my fingertips to her lips and kisses each one. “They do so many good things to me.” She makes one final walk around me. “But I like this part most of all.” Pressing her lips to my chest, she kisses my heart. It fills with sadness and love at the same time.
The lump returns to my throat as I fight back choking emotions attacking my head and heart.
“What about my lips?” I ask, forcing a smile over the ache in my heart.
“They are not part of you. They are part of me. They breathe life into me. They feed me words that can never be spoken.” She runs her hand up my chest before cupping my cheek. “They unlock true love's kiss.”
I ease her backward onto the bed and hover over her body. Leaning forward, I brush my mouth against hers. Hard nipples graze my chest, sending a lightning bolt of arousal to my cock resting against her hips.
“These lips can do so much more.” I look deep into her eyes that swallow me whole.
“How so?” she whispers.
“Like this,” I say, before kissing my way down her body. Spreading her stunning thighs apart, I ease my face between them.
“Darien?” she cries out. “What are you doing?”
“Speaking to you in another language.” I pry open her lower lips with my fingers and swipe the length of her pussy with my tongue.

Resisting The Alpha by Jessica Coulter Smith
Happy Reading and the blog is officially in her hands! :-)
I’m often asked where I come up with my stories. I knew I wanted to write about Bridget and Micah, and I knew she was going to be difficult, but that’s as far as I’d gotten when it came time to pen their story. I was discussing it with an author friend of mine, and she started throwing writing prompts at me. I cobbled them together and then I was on my way. It was difficult making Bridget strong enough to resist Micah, and yet have her fall for him by the end of the story. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull it off at first, but I think it came together nicely in the end.
Resisting the Alpha is book 3 in my Love Spell series.

Bridget Donohue is beyond furious with the meddling alpha of the local wolf pack. He not only crashed her wedding, but scared the groom away. And for what? It isn’t like he’s ready to man up and claim her.
Disgruntled by his attraction, Micah Smythe feels the pull but isn’t willing to bite. Bridget is irrational, mouthy, and temperamental. So why does his body respond every time she’s near? He’s declared her off limits, but the more time he spends with her, the harder it is to keep his hands to himself.
Passion ignites between them, but Bridget refuses to give in to the wolf’s game of seduction. She’s determined to resist the alpha at all costs.

EXCERPT
“How could you…!” Bridget screamed into the wind as the storm raged around her, knowing damn well with his sensitive wolf hearing, she could have whispered. “You sent my fiancé running scared! We were about to say our vows, you asshole!”
Bridget stood outside the church, her white dress feeling like it weighed fifty pounds as the rain pelted down, soaking her. A gust of wind wrenched off her veil and sent it into the nearby gutter, dirty water destroying it on contact.
“You aren’t marrying him,” Micah said, a growl to his voice.
“Why?” she asked, the anger draining away as her shoulders sagged. “Why would you ruin my life this way? I was happy, damn it!”
“You don’t belong with him.”
“I don’t belong with you,” she yelled. “Go back to your pack. You aren’t welcome in my life!”
Bridget struck hard, making contact with his cheek. Holding her hand to her chest, she turned on her heels and stormed back into the church, the heavy doors slamming shut behind her. Five of the groomsmen formed a line, blocking Micah from following her. His hands clenched at his sides as he bared his teeth at them.
“Move!” he demanded.
The eldest of the groomsmen, a bear-shifter of some sort, shook his head. “You heard her. I think it’s time for you to leave.”
Micah’s ears pricked as he listened for sounds inside the church. Over the crowd of wedding attendees, he heard Bridget crying. He hadn’t meant to upset her, but there was no way he could allow her to marry some random guy. She hadn’t even been with the loser more than a month. Who the hell married someone they’d only been dating a month? He would have stopped her sooner, but he’d only heard about the wedding that morning.
“This isn’t over,” he told them. “You know I was right to stop the wedding. She doesn’t belong with that puny paper-pusher. She just thinks she wants a man she can control.”

Merchandise by Angelique Voisen
I’m a Joss Whedon fan girl. Two of my favorite sci-fi shows of all time are Firefly and Dollhouse. I also have to confess the little muse in my head kept on badgering me and ultimately pushed me to writing a rough outline of Merchandise right after finishing my fourth run of Firefly.
There’s just something compelling and fun about the space opera genre— limitless possibilities of world building, alien species with extra juicy bits, and inventing gadgets with wacky names. Merchandise was born from the desire to write a hot menage set in space, with a twist in the end.
One of the things I’d always liked about Whedon’s shows? Most of the protagonists start out as society’s outsiders trying to fulfill some greater purpose. Sadly, answering a higher calling demands a great price— letting thier love lives take a huge hit. Most of the time, they end up not getting the girl (or guy) because he/she either got a) pierced by a couple of wires, Matrix style, or because of b) some supernatural curse or another.
In Merchandise, the two male protagonists come from two different alien races who hold a centuries-old grudge against each other. As outlaws, they exist on the fringes of society. Just when they’re about to take one last job and retire, things don’t go as planned. They’re thrown right into a hot platenary mess and soon find out they’re way out of thier league.
Thankfully though? They do end up getting the girl in the end.

The hunters get more than they’ve bargain for when they discover the merchandise is a rare human female breeder. For Brale and Dyos, J is the perfect woman, but when certain politics come into play, J comes with a hefty price tag the two outlaws might not be able to pay.

Excerpt:
“Do you trust us?” the Hadarian asked in a soft voice.
He didn’t appear concerned by the chaos occurring in front of them. None of them were. Farr’s harsh voice and the concerned murmurs from the crowd faded away. The only sound J heard came from the harsh thudding of her heart as the Hadarian gently touched her. He brushed the curve of her left cheekbone, the line of her jaw, and the column of her throat with his fingertips. His fingers shook, betraying a hunger he obviously tried to hide from her.
These two wanted her, J realized with shock, wanted her with a consuming hunger so stark it was almost painful. Worse still, the way her body leaned and hungered for more of their touches told J her own hunger was a haunted reflection of theirs.
“I trust you,” J whispered, surrendering the gun to the Hadarian.
“Thank you.” The Hadarian relieved her of her task of pressing the gun to her forehead. For a moment, fear clouded J.
“You wouldn’t dare kill her,” Farr sneered.
The Hadarian didn’t look daunted one bit. “Shall we make a bet, Farr? Will you risk losing your expensive captive in front of your entire people for the sake of your pride?”
Farr looked like he’d been struck. Gael whispered something furiously in his ear while his men looked clearly unsettled.
Gods of the Galaxy. Did she horribly misinterpret the situation and the prisoners planned on using her as a means of escape?
Another painful migraine pounded at her head again. The Cobrini dispelled any inkling of panic by molding himself against the curve of her naked back. Fog-like memories slipped into her mind, still all smoky and insubstantial, but J realized she did know the touch of these two men and the sound of their voices.
“I can see through your ruse, traitor. I’ve watched your sordid little moment in the holding cells. You and your Cobrini lover value this Breeder as much as I,” Farr said, his tone a mixture of distaste and something else J didn’t expect. Jealousy, and not of the mild variety either. Farr’s usually handsome face became contorted with fury.
The pressure of the metal barrel on her forehead increased, but fear and worry no longer misted J’s mind. She swore she’d see this episode through the end and finally unravel her mysterious connection to these two men no matter the cost.
The Cobrini behind her spoke. “Like you said, Farr. We space pirates don’t have many morals to begin with. When you shove a man in a cage and leave him there to rot, he can grow really desperate, and men without options learn to be creative.”

The Death Of You by Allyson Young

Margaret Madeline O’Sullivan aka Maddy Powell, is on the run from two really bad guys. In hiding, she ventures out only to a Vantage, a BDSM club, living a lonely, isolated life during the day while exploring her submissive tendencies at night.
Rafe Mason and Connor Gillespie are accomplished Doms, ex-military men who are on the lookout for a submissive who will live with them in a permanent ménage. They set their sights on Maddy, and she finds herself fleeing two really good guys, because while she is incredibly drawn to Rafe and Connor, she will not risk bringing the kind of danger down upon them that she knows is stalking her.
The Doms persist and Maddy resists, until they kidnap her and coax out the truth. Can Rafe and Connor keep her safe? Or will she be the death of them?
Excerpt:
Her scream echoing within the confines of the bedroom, Maddy Powell scrabbled amongst the linens, yanking them aside until she could reach the gauzy fabric of the nightgown covering her belly. Now fully awake she pressed her hand against the thin length of raised tissue throbbing with the prickling phantom pain that had catapulted her out of a fitful sleep. No telltale wetness or shards of agony resulted from her tender touch, and she fell back against the pillow, limp with vast relief. Just a flashback of being slashed, then. Not real. Slowing her breathing with every exhale, she rolled her head to check the clock. There was no point in trying to go back to sleep so she clambered off the mattress and headed for the bathroom to shower.
The steaming water rinsed off her favorite soap in bubbly rivulets that coursed over her bountiful curves, but the warmth didn’t prevent a shudder as details contained in the flashback coalesced—Ryker’s evil, curiously handsome features twisted with rage, the slash along the side of his face a seeping crimson streak that soured her stomach and made her falter…and the tables turned. With a gasp she reached to wrench the tap to cold for an instant, and the resulting deluge shocked her mind into neutral, erasing all the images.
Resting her forehead against the tiles, she focused on the night ahead. Club Vantage didn’t really get started until midnight on the weekends, and while she could have used some additional rest, the familiar curls of excitement soon overlaid the crash of adrenaline, building to warm her insides and pool between her legs. Time to choose an outfit and escape her past, even for a few hours. Maybe the Masters who occupied most of her waking thoughts would be there, and she could indulge in the fantasy that they were more to her than one scene. It was a dangerous fantasy, because she suspected they were indulging in the same wishful thinking, and that would never do. But a girl could always dream. Even a girl like her.

Ruled excerpt:
They made her shake. She’d thought it was first with anger, then fear, but as Mal eased his mouth against hers while Edem circled his fingers down her back, she knew she was shaking with lust. How had she gotten here? She’d been so insulted by the gift she’d rushed to them thoughtlessly and had somehow admitted to them she was frightened of sex, but now was barely able to keep on her feet for the heat blooming in her pussy.
Someone’s hands were pulling at the hem of her shirt, and she drew away from Mal to glance down and discover Edem had insinuated his fingertips underneath the material and was now rubbing along her bare waist. Her skin tingled. Mal reached for her buttons and had the front of her shirt open before she realized what was happening. When the cool air reached her nearly exposed breasts, she automatically reached to bring the edges back together, her breath rushing in and out with a mix of desire and caution.
“Let us see and touch. Just here,” Edem said softly as he caressed her lower back. Mal stared at her, his eyes darkening as he gave a slight nod. It was stupid to even consider it, but she seemed to be doing lots of stupid things lately. This could be the test. She could say no and hope they would stop. Would they let her control this? She didn’t want to say no yet, though. She sucked in a breath and urged her stiff fingers to cooperate as she released her grip on the shirt. She was wearing a bra, so she could say no when then tried to remove that final layer and expose her.
Edem let out a sigh and tugged at her sleeves, her blouse falling from her shoulders. She couldn’t stop her shiver as the cool air trickled across her back and stomach. Mal tightened his grip on her waist, and with a start she realized he had a sizeable erection and it was pressed into her belly. Normally, she’d shy away, but somehow knowing how aroused he was pleased her rather than made her anxious.
Mal trailed his fingers along her collarbones. “You’re lovely.”
“So delicate,” Edem chimed in, and she glanced at him, wondering what he thought of her faded, repaired bra. He was a powerful man on his planet and was probably used to women who were perfumed, groomed, and attired in beautiful chiffons and laces. She failed on all counts.
Sliding his hand along her side, Edem cupped one of her breasts, pushing her flesh slightly up. Her nipple contracted in a painful nub, and she inhaled deeply. He ran his thumb over the sensitized bit of flesh, and the material of her bra bit into her.
Mal dipped his head her way, long strands of his dark hair trailing along her bare shoulders. He pressed a kiss to the top swell of the breast Edem was holding, and she shook at the sensation of both of them caressing her in synchronicity. She clenched her hands in confusion. She wanted to touch them but wasn’t sure how. She’d always been confused and tense with the few men she’d been with, which had undoubtedly contributed to her discomfort with the act.
Soft lips nibbled at her neck, and she leaned away from him, not to avoid the touch as she should, but to allow him more room. The ticklish sensations crept over her nerves, and she compulsively reached up to clutch at Edem’s head, her fingers sinking into his surprisingly silky hair. He bit her throat gently in response, and a surprised moan burst from her. Before she could think further, Mal had fastened his mouth over her nipple and pressed his teeth to the sensitized flesh. Her whole body jolted uncontrollably, and she cried out, unable to hold back the sound of surprise and excitement.
“It would be better without this,” Edem whispered in her ear as he ran his fingers under the shoulder strap of her bra. Mal rumbled against her breast, and she reached her other hand out to trace into his hair, careful to avoid those curving horns. “May I?”
