Writers Retreat
One of my favorite places to write is at my mother’s vacation home in the Rancho Mirage desert. I wrote much of Bobby Ether and the Jade Academy here, as well as big portions of Temple of Eternity.
Yesterday, i spoke with the Pulpwood Queen, Kathy L. Murphy, who wanted to see the house that inspired a blog post I wrote years ago entitled The Pool, about the creative process and what it takes for me to visualize my stories.

Temple of Eternity – In the News!
Hi guys. Lots of exciting stuff going on! Last night, my new young adult fantasy, Temple of Eternity, was mentioned in the news!
Check out this youtube video of Shari Stauch – owner of Main Street Reads in Charleston, SC – in conversation with Layla Gulen of Fox 24 discussing National Independent Bookstore Day. Around the 4:26 mark, Shari talks about my friend and fellow author, Kathleen Varn and her new novel, Gardenia Duty. Then they go on to discuss Temple of Eternity and compare it to Harry Potter and Percy Jackson! What a great plug! Hope there were lots of people watching, lol.

It’s A Wrap!

I just wrapped up final edits for my second book, Temple of Eternity. After going through the entire book twice in the last few weeks, I am super excited about all of the hard work and changes that have gone into this project. In my estimation, it is truly special. I hope you all will agree with me when it comes out. Release date is scheduled for September 24th. In the meantime, I am going to take a few days off to relax, and then get back to writing book number four.
