Ooops!

I didn’t mean to take this long to do my second post. Sigh. Life just has a way of interfering sometimes.

But I did do my first event as a publisher — a book launch for one of my authors on Dec 3. Yes, I started a micro publishing company this fall. Two authors published, both poetry, and plans for I think 4 other books next year. The website for it is still under construction, but my Facebook page is here: Storeylines Press

I have not yet resumed my WIP, which has been badly neglected for quite some time, but it’s a goal for 2023. I have several. :)

And I promised photos of my cats! They insist on proper introductions.

Introducing Myself

Hello to Medium! I’m not usually one for blogs, but I have revived my writing and publishing career lately, and I want a place to share ideas and news and whatever with fellow book lovers — writers and readers, artists and art lovers.

I’m a 66 yo cis woman, my pronouns are she/her or they/them — fine with either one. I live in Canada, I have two awesome cats — Jacob and Simone. No doubt I’ll be posting photos of them when I can. I love books and movies, travelling, coffee with friends, and baseball. I have a lot of favourite books-Lord of the Rings, the Outlander series (her latest book is waiting for me on a bookshelf), and so many others. As for poets, Rilke and May Sarton top the list.

I’m not only an author, but a photographer and digital artist at well. I love creating, with words and images. Creating is everything. My art portfolio is here: Art by Barbara Storey

My life is complicated in a variety of ways — I’m sure those ways will come up in future posts. And I’m thinking about a memoir. But for now, I just wanted to say hello, and establish a place to talk about my books — the two I’ve already published, and another one in the works.
