Friends do meet again, may be moments or times apart‘coz their distances aren’t measured in Miles or YardLucky we were, to have u in our life‘coz u make wishing good-bye so hard!!

A Welcome Change
From the confines of Desks & Cabins,
To fields with virgin greenery;
From Doors guarded by Men & Machines;
To homes with horizon as their boundary!
From a Mercedes Benz bus,
To shoes soaked in clay;
From machines dispensing 6 flavors of coffee,
To people fetching water from kilometers away.
From fingers on keyboard & mouse,
To Digging earth with Axe & Spade.
From emails saying "Chocolates at my desk"
To Aanwla candies, totally handmade.
What have I given back?
An answer to this, I often seek;
May be now I can say -
"A few more trees of
Kokum, Bamboo, Aanwla and Teak" :)

The Stray Balloon
With millions thoughts, nestling inside my headI was coming back from office, walking in a tired gaitThe day had gone good; still I was exhausted;Eager to reach home, I just couldn’t wait.
There were similar faces aroundAs far as I could seeExcept, there was a stray balloonA little ahead of me.

On the other side of the road, howeverThere were many more, waiting to be soldAnd with them was a small girl,Hardly ten years old.
She was too busy bargaining, with a doting mother;Clearly her work day, was far from over.
She was not aware ofThat balloon gone astrayAll she was concerned aboutWas earning her day’s pay.
I picked up the balloon andDon’t-know-why I smiled;As if I’ve just picked up,Countless chuckles inside.
To return it back to herI crossed the road with a zealI was feeling like a star,As if it was a “Big Deal!!”.
Somewhere I hoped to see some joyOr at least - some surpriseBut all I foundWere two blank eyes.
With no expression or words,She just took it away.But holding that balloon for those 2 seconds,Had made my day!!!
