#Cherish swag Donation and Scintillating Saturday Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone.

I personalized a few notebooks to donate to a Mom and her kids. I’ve attached the pics.

Also I’ve decided to share a scintillating Saturday excerpt from Cherish. And if you’d like to receive any Swag from me – I have tattoos, bracelets and personalized notebooks to give away – then email me @ sher.singhzn@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

Enjoy.

“Goths and vampires bond for life.” Pri gestures dramatically. “It’s not easy letting outsiders into their world. They need people they can trust. People who won’t sell them out.”

“So who did you hang out with?” Marcus keeps his voice casual.

Pri sighs dreamily. “The Prince of Darkness. I swear he’s like my soul mate or something.”

“The Prince of Darkness? Um…is he famous or what?” Andy stares at Pri.

“A.K.A. Armando Perez.”

I freeze. The same Armando Perez I silently drooled over this morning. If Marcus weren’t in the picture, I’d have definitely crushed on Armando.

Manicilous #Monday

Hi Everyone,

Moving In is with my awesome editor at the moment. I’ve plotted the entire four book series. Let me know what you think of the excerpt.

###

Honey, my pet Rhodesian ridgeback springs into the lounge and heads for Mom. Honey’s never been fond of my parents. Mom and Dad don’t relate to anything outside of the human species. She steps back and glares at Honey. “Get that thing away…”

“She’s not a thing. She’s a dog and her name’s Honey. Honey, come here girl.” She growls at Mom before she turns around and settles at my feet. Honey is awfully protective over me. Mason, the complex’s caretaker usually takes care of Honey while I’m away. Mom and Dad haven’t just screwed up my life. They’ve screwed up Honey’s future as well. God knows how I’m going to give up my dog for adoption if I don’t find a pet friendly place to live in. My heart breaks at the mere thought of giving Honey away.

“Dean…you have to understand this decision wasn’t an easy one for us to take.”

It seemed pretty easy to me. In fact my parents haven’t even waited twenty four hours since the blog post went live to kick me out of what’s technically their property.

“I need to pack.” I’m really not in the mood to talk. Where the fuck am I going to find a place at such short notice?

“I’ll let myself out.”

Honey barks in approval. She’s never taken to Mom and my mother’s never been a dog person. In fact the only species my mother is comfortable with is human beings. I found Honey lying on a freeway a year ago. She’d been pregnant, knocked, bleeding and left for dead. I got her to a vet and who managed to save her – Honey lost all her puppies – and she’s been with me ever since. There’s absolutely no way I’ll leave her at the SPCA or any other kind of animal shelter. She goes where I go. Period.

Which brings me to packing. I live light and travel lighter. It doesn’t take me more than two hours to neatly pack my life’s possessions and load them into my black Ford Ranger. I earned the van fair and square. Dad bought the Ranger for me after I got my Bachelor’s degree. Suddenly I want to get as far away as I can from this apartment and from anything my parents have ever given me. Who’s going to give me a place to stay at such short notice? Jace?

Six Sentence Sunday

Hi Everyone,

I almost forgot about today’s Six Sentence Sunday.

Here is a taste of Beast Next Door, a sexy YA read out on query:

“I’m your angel. Yeah.

Your freakin’ Angel. Yeah.

So come one and give it to me…Yeah.”

She calls that a song.

I have no idea what her name is but the girl next door is either delusional or really optimistic to think those lyrics will get her into any rock song writing contest.

Or magically turn her into a rock star.

Happy 2014

To my dearest friends, fans, fellow writers and family – thank you for your support in 2013. I’ve signed two writing contracts and I may have really good news soon. None of this would have been possible without your encouragement and support. I wish you and yours the very best for 2014. Remember if you can dream it – you can be it. God bless.

Good News

I have excellent news for fans of Moving In. I self published Moving In earlier this year – the biggest mistake I ever made because the manuscript was riddled with grammatical and syntax errors and a poor, abrupt ending. I’ve rewritten the novella, plotted a four book series and queried it. My fingers are crossed. Are yours?

Six Sentence Sunday.

I’d love to know what you think of my six sentences. Leave your thoughts in the comments please. Thank you for reading.

“My fingers hover over the girl’s open chest and crackle when they make contact with her cold, near lifeless skin. Streaks of white light escape my fingers and flow inside the girl. Her chest closes up. She’s breathing a few moments later. I stare at the fading rays of light in my hands. I’ve burned up too much energy bringing her back to life, and it’s taken a toll on me. My mind and body go completely numb before I pass out.”

Cherish Blurb

Hi Everyone,

What do you think of my blurb for my soon to be released young adult novel, Cherish :

“Sarah cannot escape the deadly Ludus–a mind-body dissociation game where bodies and souls don’t always merge after the game is over.”

Review of Ribbon of Darkness by Decadent Kane

I’ve had the honor of reading an amazing, absolutely fresh take on a Christmas story with a difference.

Ribbon Winters freaks out when her ears suddenly turn pointy. The last thing she expects is to learn her blood line leads all the way to the north pole. As if that doesn’t add to her troubles, Ribbon learns that the hot customer she met at her parent’s shop is hiding a dark secret. One thing is obvious though. He’s after Ribbon all right.

Draven North can’t deny his attraction towards Ribbon and he can’t forget his ultimate goal.

Ribbon of Darkness is cleverly written. I loved the characters’ names, the expressions and the brilliant concept of a unique take on ” The Elves who saved Christams”.

Ribbon of Darkness gets 4 stars from me. I smiled until the last page.
