My NA Paranormal Witch Apprentice – Crimson Anthology releases 28 March 2014

Here’s a teaser from Witch Apprentice.

Tina spread her arms, shut her eyes, sucked in her breath, and jumped. Her flaming red hair, which normally hung to her waist, fanned above her head. Tina had deliberately worn figure hugging, black, stretch pants and a matching blouse for this wondrous moment. She wanted to look her best after her planned victory.

Her slim body sliced through the bitter winter air. There was still a fair distance to cover and…nothing happened. Panic gripped Tina as she continued to fall. Not like it made a difference during her descent from Ocean’s Peak, a lethal volcanic formation that caressed the clouds in the center of Mid Ocean and was only visible during the moon’s last quarter. Rocky sections of the sea bed were exposed beneath her. Few beings hung out in these parts. She was out of range of being summoned by the Elders, and there was little chance of anyone witnessing her practice session, unless she counted the marine life.

“It’s too soon.” Tina grimaced. Jagged blue-black rocks taunted her from below, poised to break every bone in her body. As if that wasn’t enough, she’d have to live with the shame of not being able to master something as simple as a free fall while the Elders nursed her. Damn.

“Help.” Tina doubted anyone would hear her feeble plea in these remote parts. Heck she’d even accept help from a mortal, if they were brave enough to venture here.

And here’s the awesome cover:

Sneak peek at my brand new #Paranormal #NA WIP #Original

Here’s a glimpse at my WIP that will have you ugly crying before the end. I’m trying something a little different with this book. It’s not set in South Africa, it’s set in the USA.

Oh fuck. This is the end of me. I close my eyes and pretend this isn’t happening. Instead Superman appears out of nowhere and pulls this smelly bastard off me. A bike roars in the distance. I focus on its sound and imagine Superman is on that bike. Within seconds the sound of the bike is the only thing my mind holds onto. Leader’s hands tighten around my waist. His ugly breath clogs my nostrils.

Forget him. Superman will rescue me.

I squeeze my eyes tight and clench my hands into fists bracing myself for the impact of his mouth on mine while at the same time trying to shut him out altogether. Somehow the shutting out part works. Leader’s hands loosen on my waist and his pungent alcohol breath gives way to fresh sea air.

“Fuck!” He gasps suddenly.

Instinct forces my eyes open. We’re surrounded by a group of bikers with bikes so shiny the moonlight reflecting off of them blinds me temporarily. One of the bikers punches Leader on his jaw. The other circle the remaining would-be attackers.

“I didn’t touch her.” Leader winces.

“Liar,” mysterious Biker says in a deep voice,”Didn’t your mama teach you to always tell the truth?”

My spine tingles at the sound of his voice.

“I warned you about stepping on my ground, Skull.”

Aha. I found Superman. Unless this is a dream. None of this is really happening, shock must have stupefied me and I’ve stepped away from my body…I shut my eyes and pinch myself. Fuck. That hurt. I’m not imagining any of this. The bikers are really here and one of them is teaching Skull a lesson he’ll never forget.

“I want you to take your pack of vermin rats and get the hell out of here.” Super Biker says.

Skull and his gang don’t need to be told twice. They disappear into the shadows so fast I wonder if they were really there.

“Did he hurt you?” I’m stunned at how quickly my wish was granted. I asked for Superman and I got a Superbiker. My chest tightens. If only all my wishes were granted so easily…

Warm hands cup my face. I catch a glimpse of a shiny bracelet on his right hand. His left thumb is in a plaster. “Hey?”

Superbiker’s talking to me. “Yeah…I’m fine.”

He’s standing so close to me I can smell his aftershave and cologne – the scent is woodsy, earthy and incredibly sexy. He’s pushed the visor of his helmet up but a clump of clouds block out the moon making it impossible for me to even catch a glimpse of my savior.

“You’re new here,” he says.

“You can tell just by looking at me?” Damn he’s got skills.

“No. The license plates on your car.”

Hmm. An observant guy.

He steps away from me. “You shouldn’t be hanging out here this part of night,” he says, “tell me where you live and we’ll escort you home.” He opens the car door for me.

“What’s your name?”

He pauses. Perhaps my question’s caught him off guard. “Why?”

I shrug. “It’d be nice to know.”

He leaves me standing outside my car and jumps on his bike. “Get in the car. My boys and I don’t have all night to wait on spoilt little rich girls who have nothing better to do than invite trouble upon themselves.”

Moving series update #Original NA

Moving In #1 in the New Adult moving series will release soon. Watch out for details of a cover reveal.

I have four books planned in the New Adult novella series including Alison’s story which I hope to give away as a free read – depending on what my publisher says. Fans of the original Moving In novella will remember Alison as Lace’s outspoken sex obsessed BFF who’s eager for Lace to lose her virginity to her hot new roommate, Dean St James.

Dean turned out to be a softy who rescued a dog from peak hour traffic and adopted her. Lace soon finds herself falling hard for her roommate.

#2 has a title and basic plot. I will reveal more details depending on the number of comments I receive on this post. So if you’re a fan of Moving In -Dean and Lace’s story leave a comment or tweet me.

Lycaon Press Lucky Blog Hop

20140315-223905.jpg

Welcome to the LP lucky blog hop.

I’ve done a little reading on St. Patricks day and the fun fact I love the most is the feast prepared in the Mediterranean.

Marcus and Sarah from my debut book, Cherish, have to sneak in food when they’re unexpectedly placed in St. Mary’s orphanage – a hideout for something much more sinister than either expects.

Check out Cherish at http://www.lycaonpress.com

One lucky fan can also win an ecopy of the book. All you have to do is comment here and you qualify.

Check out other Lycaon Press authors also participating in the blog hop by clicking on the link below.

Message for Mr. X

Have you ever worked with someone who worries about every thing you do? It’s like they watch each and every little detail and take note.

I am a lecturer and there is someone who watches and notes how many lessons I teach and how much free time I have. I am incredibly honoured and flattered. It’s obvious my presence is an integral part of this person’s existence.

I just want to say Thank you to that person for paying so much attention to me. Obviously your life is so boring and your mentality so dense you can’t move on easily.

The laws of gratitude states a person should be grateful and continuously express gratitude.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. X for continuously tramping my toes and showing me just how strong and courageous I am. Thank you thank you thank you for exposing your true self without my effort. Thank you thank you thank you for always thinking of me. After all – it’s the thought that counts – isn’t it?

My Writing a Process Blog Tour #mywritingprocess

Hi Everyone,

Thank you my fabulous writer buddy, Sun Chara, for tagging me.

Her writing process can be found here https:/www.facebook.com/sunchara3%C2%A0

I’m currently working on a New Adult Paranormal novel. I’m also busy with edits of a sexy New Adult novella series contracted to Breathless Press. I am also querying a young adult novel and a new adult novel with different publishers. My editor is the super awesome Haleigh Rucinsky.

My book differs from others because there aren’t many books set in South Africa. I live in a beautiful, culturally diverse country and we have a unique Blend of cultures here – we also have a mix of British and USA English. There’s re a lot of stories to be told and I’ve found a publisher that loves working with me.

I write books set in South Africa about characters who start off soft and gentle and then grow stronger because that’s what I know best.

I wrote whenever I have time. There isn’t a particular process or routine. I’ve invested in a word processing app for my iPad as well as plenty notebooks to jot down ideas. I write on the go and even on my blackberry. For that reason I prefer full QWERTY keypads on my mobile phones.

Next week the fabulous, multi published international author, Ruchi Vasudeva takes over. Here’s a sneak peek at Ruchi.

You can find Ruchi here:

http://ruchivasudeva.wordpress.com/

And here’s a little about Ruchi:

Ruchi Vasudeva is a doctor by profession, a teacher by vocation and, in her own words, an author by destiny. The writing bug has long resided in her and a contest held by Harlequin for Indian authors gave her a golden opportunity to have her dream realized. She debuted in August ’13 with her book ‘Bollywood Fiancé For A Day’. Her new release ‘You Can’t Fight A Royal Attraction’ is her second book, both being published by Harlequin. She also won a contest for getting a short story published with Harper Collins which will be published soon. She writes romantic fiction with conflicted characters who come into their own in their quest of reaching out for love. She loves to write about spirited heroines getting hurtled out of their daily life as soon as they cross paths with their rather challenging heroes.

Please show Ruchi some support and let her know I sent you over.

Much love until my next post.
