Blog Tour!
Wanting Him by T. Renee Fike.

Synopsis:
Can a person really fall in love in only a few short months? Does distance really make the heart grow fonder?

Parker is living his dream, on tour with his band mates, King Dread. He’s making a name for himself and his band, wanting nothing more than for Natalie to join him on this new adventure.

Unfortunately due to life, Nat cannot go with him. Between going to school, working, and taking care of her sister, her plate is full.

During the months apart, Nat and Parker are able to grow as individuals and reveal who they really are, and what’s important.

Though distance is hard on both of them; there are people out there who want nothing more than a piece of Parker.

When they are put to the test, will they be able to prove their love for one another or will others step in and take their place?

**This contains graphic sexual content and situations suitable for readers 18**

Excerpt
Nat, if there’s any point in time when you doubt how I feel about you, I want you talk to me, don’t bail on me,” he says piercing me with those gorgeous green eyes.
“I won’t.  We only have to wait a year until you’re home,” I say with a smile.

“Yep, one year.  Plus we’ll see each other when I’m around home for concerts, and you’re going to stay with me a few days when you can,” he says with a knowing look.

“Yes babe, I told you I would,” I say with a smile as I lean in and softly press my lips to his.

Before I can register what he’s doing he has me lying on my back and he’s settled between my thighs kissing me silly.

“Round two,” he says with a wink as he quickly moves down my body to my sensitive spot.  He wastes no time getting me ready for more of him.  His tongue hits my sacred spot, making my body jump.  Parker makes sure I’m not going anywhere as he continues his tongue assault on my body, then thrusting two fingers inside my aching walls.

“Please babe, I need you inside of me,” I whimper.

“I will soon, I’m enjoying tasting you,” he says before he dives back in with his tongue making me moan louder.

It doesn’t take Parker long to have me reaching bliss and calling him all sorts of God-like names.

My body feels like mush, but I can’t get enough of him.  I wish I could have him every day, but that’s what makes our times together even more special.

Soon Parker is pushing inside my wet core waking my insides back up.  I lean up towards Parker to kiss him. I wrap my arms around his neck, allowing my fingers to play in his sexy messed-up hair.

I wrap my legs firmly around Parker’s waist wanting him to push even deeper inside of me.

Werewolf Wednesday!

Wolves are pack animals. They crave a large familial setting. They will fight to the death to protect their family—the pack.

In the Werewolf Wars Series, the pack plays an important roll in the story. Protecting the p…ack and upholding justice is an integral part of the series.

Devon and Gene are both strong alpha males who will do anything to protect the women they love and bring honor to their family.

Excerpt from Out of the Shadows:

A muffled scream of terror ripped through the night air. Devon’s heart thumped painfully in his chest. The sound had come from inside the bakery. Lark!
Swallowing the lump in his throat he noticed the broken door handle and the partially open door.
“The bitch stabbed me,” a man’s voice hissed.
“Let me see,” another voice growled, sounding more annoyed than concerned.
Devon’s ears rung. He recognized that voice. What are they doing here? Jaw set, he fought to contain his rage.
Adrenaline pumping, Devon slipped inside. He edged down the hall with his back against the wall, his footsteps silent against the tile floor. His heart clenched and face turned deadly when Lark came into view.
She laid motionless on the floor, face covered by blonde curls. His eyes flew to her back and he waited with bated breath, sighing when he saw the gentle rise and fall of it. Lark was unconscious, but alive.
“Damn it, I think I’m going to need stitches,” the injured man grumbled.
Devon continued to stalk forward. Fists clenched tightly, the element of surprise on his side. At the moment he only heard two different voices, but there could be more. He inhaled deeply. The rich smell of the metallic copper blood invaded his nostrils. Red flared behind his eyes.
The hallway came to an end. A puddle of blood pooled under Lark’s face, blonde strands of hair soaked it up. She’d obviously hit her head. He wouldn’t know how bad it was till he got a better look. Closing his eyes, he hoped that she was okay—he needed her to be okay.
He weighed his options, if he moved around the corner he would give himself away. The limited view was an issue but for the moment it would have to do. Devon knew not to underestimate Dirk, Emmett’s most trusted and lethal lackey.
Focusing on Lark, he double checked that she was still alright for the moment. His stomach knotted at seeing her still form. Devon swallowed, grinding his teeth as rage curdled inside him. Focus.
A set of long legs stuck out by the cases, but he couldn’t see their owner. He didn’t see blood, but the salty coppery scent permeated the air.
“Here,” Dirk said, coming into Devon’s view. He stooped down with a wad of paper towels in his hands.
Devon peered around the corner placing a voice to the face of the injured man. Michael sat slumped on the floor, on the verge of passing out at any moment. Dirk stood back up and walked toward Lark.
With a fierce snarl, Devon attacked, tackling Dirk to the ground. Dirk’s ice blue eyes widened as they crashed to the floor. Not giving him a chance to react, Devon pummeled Dirk in the face repeatedly until his knuckles ached, leaving Dirk’s face a bloody mess.
“I was hoping I’d get the honor of ending your life.” Dirk barked, blood seeping between his teeth. With a roll he threw Devon off of him.
Devon hit the wall and quickly jumped to his feet. Dirk had several inches on him, which was no easy feat since he was close to six feet himself.
“Not going to happen,” Devon remarked, curling his lip. He locked in his fighting stance, ready to strike at Dirk’s first movement.
Dirk wiped a smear of blood from his nose as he glared at Devon. “Did you really think you could out run Emmett?”
“Do you really think Emmett gives a shit about you?”
“I’m going to enjoy killing you. Then I’ll drag your body back for Emmett to see.” Dirk lunged at him.
Ducking out of the way, Devon grabbed Dirk’s arm, and shoved him down into his knee. As Dirk stumbled back, Devon followed up with a hard right hook to the jaw.
Dirk swung again and Devon jumped to the right. With a quick twist of his body Devon punched Dirk in the face, his nose crunching beneath his knuckles. Gripping Dirk’s neck, he twisted a sickening crack sliced through the air. He released Dirk and watched him fall lifelessly to the floor with a deafening thud.

Teaser Tuesday!
Here is an excerpt from Out of the Shadows, Werewolf Wars # 1

Lark didn’t know what to grab for her sister. Sarah was picky in what she wore and when. She thought a nice mixture would go over best. With a sigh she opened the closet, packing several dresses before going to the dresser.
Devon stood in the doorway. Lark could feel his eyes following her around the room. Normally she hated being watched, it unnerved her. This seemed different, like she was a mystery he was trying to solve. She thought the feeling was mutual.
There was animosity, then sexual tension. One minute she wanted to punch him, the next she wanted to throw him on a bed and ease the desire thrumming between her thighs. No one pissed her off, and turned her on, like Devon did.
Lark sucked in a deep breath wanting to clear the naughty images from her mind. She was here to get clothes for Sarah, not daydream. Done with the closet she moved to the dresser taking out the necessities before adding in shorts and shirts.
Finally finished, Lark pushed down on the bag, as she tried to get the zipper to catch. It was too full. With an exasperated sigh she leaned further in to it.
“Need help?”
“That would be nice.”
Devon stood opposite her pushing down on the bag his biceps rippled under his black shirt sleeves. Lark blinked, cleared her throat, and zipped the bag shut. Her hand went to the handle meeting Devon’s there. His warmth encompassed her fingers sending a volt through her.
“I got it.” Devon gripped the handle and her pinky finger.
“Thanks.” Lark moved her hand away. Her heart kicked up a notch, and she let out a shaky breath needing to put distance between them. “I think that’s everything.”
Devon looked at her as he lifted the bag from the bed. “You sure? I think you might have left some of your things in the drawers and closet.”
Lark gave him a wry smile. “That’s Sarah’s bag. It’s probably a good thing she was preoccupied with Preston. We would’ve been here forever and there would be nothing left in the drawers or closet.”
“Lucky for me they like to go horseback riding.”
Lark rolled her eyes. “I honestly don’t know who they think they’re fooling with that line.”
Devon shrugged. “You’re only young once.”
“That line work on girls?”
“Sometimes.”
“So you’re one of those guys?” The question popped out before she could stop it. Heat flared across her cheeks and she turned and walked toward the door.
“No, that’s Vincent. I date, just not for extended periods of time.”
“In other words, you dump them before they can get to know you, or you develop feelings for them.” Lark walked toward her bedroom. The more they talked the more she was beginning to realize things about him.
“I don’t see the point in getting serious with a woman. They will ultimately freak out when they find out I turn into a wolf and howl at the moon.”
“It’s not that bad. Do you really howl at the moon?”
“Really? It didn’t work out for several of my broken hearted pack mates. The werewolf gene is dominant too. It’s rare but if there were offspring they would be wolves. It’s a turn off for women too. At least if they want human kids. And I suppose I could howl at the moon, but I don’t feel the need to.”
Lark shook her head a smile crept across her face at his joke. “Is that why everyone is single?”
Devon set the suitcase down once they got in her room and looked at her. “Relationships don’t usually work out well for us. Most people aren’t as understanding as you.” His head cocked to the side, his eyes burning into her.
Lark felt a shiver flutter down her spine from the intensity of his gaze. Unable to bare the look, she ducked into her bathroom double checking she had everything. Get a grip.
“So, you can have kids with humans?”
“If we wanted too, but like I said it’s rare. Two werewolves have a hard enough time reproducing sometimes, let alone a werewolf and a human.”
“I’ve noticed there is a bit of a female problem too. Emily is the only female wolf I’ve met besides Beatrice.” Lark grabbed her bag from the bed. She stole a quick look at him, his eyes still watching. Lark quickly flicked her gaze away. Tension pooled in her stomach, their conversation and his looks becoming more intense each second.
Devon picked up Sarah’s suitcase and moved to the door. “I don’t know the average but my mom had three boys before having Emily and that was considered good by our standards. For whatever reason - and trust me people have looked into it - more boys are born than girls.”
“Does that mean you guys are in danger of extinction?” Lark bit her lip, taking the opportunity to stare at his backside. He looked delicious, his ass perfectly sculpted in his dark wash jeans.
“That’s one of the reasons why Emmett is going to such lengths to get Emily back. Having a female in the pack means power, and he secured a deal to trade her to another pack.”
“She told me. I think that’s disgusting.” Lark shuddered despite herself. “Your father is a creep, no offense.”
“Emmett’s not my father.”
The hostility in his voice startled her. Though the anger hadn’t been directed at her. She’d inadvertently hit a nerve, and had gotten a reaction. “I’m sorry.”
“We should get going, it’s getting late.”
Lark sighed, whatever moment they were having was fading away. But a part of her wanted to salvage it. She wanted to learn more about Devon. “I think I am going to open the bakery tomorrow.”
“No one is stopping you. You were the one who was afraid.”
Lark bit her lip anger bubbling up inside her, heat flushed her ears and cheeks. His voice was indifferent like he had completely shut down. “I guess you’re back to being a jerk again.”
“Let’s go.” Devon motioned toward the door, Sarah’s case in his hand.
“Fine.” Lark stomped her foot, the move immature, but she was pissed. Glaring at Devon, she walked to the door. She was infuriated, having reached her boiling point.
“You know what? No.” She spun back around and marched up to him. Eyes locked on his. “I’m tired of this! Either we come to some sort of peaceful existence or we just…” she shook her head in frustration. The words getting jumbled in her head as she tried to get them out. “…we just stop. After everything that’s happened these past few days, I just, this is-”
Devon’s lips crashed against hers, cutting her off. Her breath caught. Her mind spiraled in a whirlwind of sensations and thoughts. His tongue traced her lips. With a sigh, her lips parted and his tongue glided against hers. The bag dropped from her hand. The momentary confusion lifted, replaced with desire.
His stubble scraped her chin and his hands wound in her hair. Lark traced over the plains of Devon’s chest, wrapping her arms around his neck. Body humming with want as heat scorched it’s way to her core.

Werewolf Wednesday!

One of the common myths of werewolves is their increased appetite and metabolism—must be nice.

In the Werewolf Wars Series, the pack loves to eat sweet treats from Lark’s bakery, The Cookie Jar.

Here is a recipe for Devon’s favorite, blueberry muffins.

Teaser Tuesday. Into the Unknown, Werewolf Wars #2 by Bethany Shaw

Excerpt:

Natalia breathed in the aromatic scent of roses, pine and bushes. The bright, vibrant colors of the botanical gardens helped ease her apprehension about being out with Gene. Her stomach fluttered, thinking about him. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust him; it was that she didn’t want to be alone with him. He made her feel things she wasn’t sure she wanted to feel. Forcing her thoughts from Gene, she took in the enchanting flowers. The tension left her body, and she wrapped her arms around herself in bliss.

Flowers of every color surrounded them, spilling down from the canopy, and wrapping around the trellis. The bushes were also decorated, trimmed to look like large birds. People murmured quietly as they walked along the red cobblestone that stretched endlessly through the gardens. Closing her eyes, she let her mind soak up the soft chirping of the birds, and the intoxicating smelling flowers.

“I thought you might like it here,” Gene said as he looked at one of the beautifully cut bushes. “A part of us craves the outdoors, and enjoys all aspects of nature.”

Natalia opened her eyes, and smiled as she stared at one of the gardens. “I love flowers. Back home, I used to work at a boutique part time. I helped make floral arrangements.”

“That sounds like fun.”

“It was. My mother wanted to send me to college, but we did not have the funds, and I did not want her to take out a loan. At first it was just a job, but the more I did it, the more I realized it was something I could be passionate about,” Natalia mused as she bent down, inhaling the sweet perfume of the red and blue azaleas.

“I always thought it would be fun to be a lawyer,” Gene replied.

Natalia quirked a brow, turning to stare at Gene. A giggle escaped her lips, and she covered her mouth as heat flushed her face.

“What?” Gene asked, grinning.

“I just…I do not picture you in a suit. Are lawyers not stuffy and stuck up?” Natalia asked.

“I clean up nice, thank you.” Gene chuckled. “I don’t know, I thought it would be nice to work for the people. You know, help people who genuinely deserve it, and truly need help.”

Natalia pursed her lips, and nodded as she sobered. “You like to help people?”

Gene shrugged. “Yeah. But, I’ll just have to figure other ways to do it.”

“You cannot be a lawyer?” Natalia questioned as they resumed their walk down the cobblestone path.

“No. The ranch is my first priority. It is how we keep the pack afloat. Especially now. With new members coming in, we may need to increase productivity in order to have the revenue to pay everyone.”

“Oh.” Natalia stammered, her eyes flitting around the dense green shrubbery as they entered a treed section. “How does that work exactly?”

Gene glanced around before he continued. “The majority of the pack lives on site. They get free room and board, but they also work for the ranch, and earn a salary.”

“And this is something you must do?” Natalia questioned, scrunching her face up in disgust.

“No. Most people choose to because we crave the closeness of other wolves. Three members of my pack live in Abilene, and have their own jobs—but they still respond in emergencies, and come to meetings. Everyone else chooses to live at the homestead, and do that type of work. We’re our own community, of sorts, and function best working together.”

“So you do not mind it?”

“No. It’s our way of life. Each pack has its own way of supporting themselves. Ours is horses.”

“And what exactly do you do with the horses? I thought other animals were spooked by us. One of my best friends had a cat, and, when I would go to their house, it would always hiss and claw at me,” Natalia said as she stopped to look at a bush designed in the shape of a humming bird.

Gene stopped beside her. “The horses at our ranch are born and raised there. We breed, train, and sell them. Because they are born there, they get used to our scent from an early age, and it doesn’t bother them. Otherwise, yes, it would be an issue. As for cats, well, I don’t think they’ll ever like us,” Gene teased.

Natalia licked her lips, suppressing her smile. Her eyes flicked up to his, and her heart sped up. Instinctually, she leaned toward him, his plump lips calling to her. NO! Looking away, she turned abruptly, and continued down the path. She could not allow herself to fall for him. If she were certain of one thing, it was that getting close to Gene would be a mistake.

“If we’re going to eat dinner at the house, we should head back,” Gene suggested, looking at his watch. “Although, there is this nice Mexican restaurant in town.”

“Is it authentic?” Natalia asked, rolling her eyes as she bit her lip. She’d fallen straight into that. Why didn’t her head function properly when she was around him?

“I think so,” Gene said.

Sighing, she turned back to him. She should say no, go back to the house, and eat Ramona’s meal. But she couldn’t; there was something about his chocolate eyes that lured her in. Before she could stop herself, she said, “I suppose I will have to see for myself. But they had better have tamales and chili rellenos. They’re my favorite.”

“Well, then, I hope they have them too,” Gene remarked as he led the way out of the botanical gardens.
