The Love Brothers SeriesLove Garage, Book One

When outspoken matriarch Lindsay Halloran Love becomes ill, the youngest brother Aiden shows up at Antony's garage, having dropped out of school (again), needing work and a place to crash. Antony provides both, with three caveats: "Don't smoke in my truck, don't be late for work, and don't mess with my girlfriend."
But Aiden Love, budding novelist, gets one glimpse of Rosalee Norris, young widow of Antony's lifelong best friend and all bets are off.
Set in horse country near Lexington, Kentucky, The Love Brothers Series is a saga of family devotion that runs as wide and deep as the Ohio River--except on Sundays when brothers Antony, Kieran, Dominic and Aiden work out their frustrations on the basketball court, Love brother style. Safe Love, A Love Brothers Companion Novella Antony Ian Love has a lot on his ample shoulders. He owns and runs a small business, is estranged from his teenaged daughter AliceLynn, his beloved mother is dying of cancer, and he's come face to face with his youngest brother Aiden's sudden reappearance into the Love family circle. Years of sublimating his true self in deep mourning for his long dead wife have hardened the surly, emotional shell he's nurtured, but one woman seems to have broken through. Rosalee Norris is the young widow of Antony's best friend Paul and their mutual sorrow and close friendship has slowly morphed into something more.
Family therapist and recent divorcee Margot Hamilton is dropped into the close-knit Love family by necessity but fate has a real design twist in mind. With her heart and mind closed to anything resembling an emotional connection, Margot is shocked to discover something about Antony the very first time they meet--something she tries, and fails, to resist.
SAFE LOVE, The Love Brothers novella is a tale of love's realistic complications within the saga of family devotion that runs as wide and deep as the Ohio River--except on Sundays when brothers Antony, Kieran, Dominic and Aiden work out their frustrations on the basketball court, Love brother style.

When one man’s hopes are dashed apart in a split second after years spent chasing a dream, he returns home to Kentucky furious at the world and everyone around him.
Kieran Francesco is the middle son of the volatile, tight-knit Halloran-Love family. His role as peacemaker and the one true athlete is well established. He now faces life devoid of the sport he adores after a horrific, career-ending accident, which places him in a new and entirely uncomfortable position—that of the brother with no future.
Over the course of a few tumultuous months Kieran is plunged back into life at the center of the Love family, where he must cope with one self-destructive brother, one ill-timed reconnection to an old flame and a series of bad choices that land him in more trouble than he’d ever known existed.
COACH LOVE, book 2 of The Love Brothers, a family saga of sibling loyalty that runs as deep and wide as the Ohio River—at least until Sunday, when Antony, Kieran, Dominic and Aiden work out their frustrations at the weekly Love brother pick-up basketball game. Blood Music: A Thriller By Jessie Prichard Hunter

~ Synopsis ~
Chilling...A riveting thriller." NEW YORK MAGAZINE New York City is caught in the cold grip of a brutal serial killer who savagely rapes and murders his young, blonde victims. While ravaging them, his mind whirls with symphonic images and raging desires--rarely giving thought to his loving wife and child.
Young, blonde Zelly Wyche has a new baby and a happy life with her dependable electrician husband. She, too, is petrified by the madness and the unthinkable tragedy of the murders. While the serial killers' sole survivor and a victim's brother mount a desperate vigilante hunt for the "Symphony Slasher," a chill runs up Zelly's spine. She is beginning to wonder if the killer could be closer than she thinks. But no. Impossible. She has to be dead wrong....

Facebook // Website // Twitter Why I Wrote Blood Music
After Blood Music was published, several people I knew, mostly from my daughter’s preschool, came up to me and said, without rancor, “I thought you were a nice person!” If by that they meant a person who is not devoured with curiosity about the darkest parts of the human psyche, then no, I am not a nice person. Several years before I wrote Blood Music, I dreamt I’d written a book of that name. Now that, I thought, is something I’m going to do one day. I had no idea what it was about, but it certainly was a good title. Some time later, on a lovely spring afternoon, I was sitting with my baby girl on a park lawn at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where I was living at the time. It was quiet and calm, with perfect sun. Suddenly I thought, What if there was someone in the bushes with a knife, watching us, and he decided to kill me if I turned my face his way? Yes, this is the sort of thing I think regularly, even to this day. I absolutely loved it. That’s Blood Music, I thought, and hurried home to I knew it had to have music in it, of course, so I put some, right at the beginning. The first chapter of Blood Music is among the finest things I have ever written, and I am proud to say it was a first draft that took about twenty minutes to finish. It was then that I knew this was a book I absolutely had to write, although I had only the foggiest idea of what it was going to be about. At that point I had studied abnormal psychology, and specifically serial killings, for some twenty years, since I was fifteen. I had just finished another novel, Like Love, which I still adore and want to see published, in some form, one day. But although I had taken great care and love in the writing of it, it lacked one thing: a plot. I had studied dialogue, I knew how to write a sentence and create a scene. But a plot is something that sadly escapes a great many first novelists. To make up for it I decided to write a completely plot-driven book, a thriller. Now, thrillers have a rather bad name, although I have met very few people who don’t (at least secretly) love them. They’re considered second-rate as far as writing goes, and I consider myself a literary writer. So I decided to write a plot-driven literary thriller. It took me eight months to write the first draft, all the while raising my baby, Leah. At eight months she would crawl across the floor, pull herself up to the computer, and try to tear my hands away from the keyboard. (Later, my boy would crawl across the floor, pull himself up to the computer, and try to type with me.) I would tape Sesame Street and play it for Leah so that I could have an hour to write, which I ended up doing, in small notebooks, at a counter in the kitchen. As long as she couldn’t see what I was doing, I was all right. Heaven help me if she figured it out, though, and she was one smart baby. She wanted me all to herself, all the time; but that’s just being a mother, and now I laugh at how guilty I felt about those
Sesame Street tapes. I wrote Blood Music because I had to; it really was that simple. A name, a scene, a creation being born. That’s one of the things I love most about writing: It has its own agenda. I did change one word for my sister’s sake (I forget which), but when it went into Editorial at Turtle Bay, Random House’s newest imprint, I stipulated that not one word of it could be changed. Not one was—although of course that had nothing to do with me! Tour-Wide Giveaway 5 individual promo codes for a free download of the book for an entire tour. Vincenzo merely nodded. He reached down on the floor and grabbed the scotch bottle, drinking the liquor like it was water. He passed the bottle to Stefano and faced his prey as he prepared to end his life.
“Did you hear that, you piece of shit?" Vincenzo yelled at him. "Capo just said I need to end you! And I'm going to enjoy every last second of it."
"Good. Do it," I encouraged him. I hadn’t thought Vincenzo would have it in him to do the hit, which was why I came. I was wrong. "And hurry. You end this before it's too late and the fucker passes out again."
"Oh, I'm ready. I want him to feel how I am going to make the last seconds of his life the most painful. He's going to wish he died years ago."
I'd witnessed and participated in these hits and beatings numerous times and knew from experience that Dobson was struggling to breathe. He was going to suffocate in his own blood, which was most likely pooling in his lungs, causing his slow but agonising death.
"Capo, pass me your gun," he said.
"My gun? You're just gonna end him with a gun? Are you serious?" I was a sick fuck when it came to rapists. I had no fucking tolerance. I walked over to the bench, picked up the satchel and pulled out a Dirk. This was my favourite weapon. It resembled a dagger, almost like a mini sword. “Get outta my fucking way. You've done enough pussyfooting.” I shoved Vincenzo out of my way.
I stood before Dobson and slid on my gloves, noticing he was almost near death. Grabbing him by his face, I squeezed his jaw until he turned to look me directly in the eye.
“It's just not your lucky day, is it, Dobson? We've been planning this for six years, mate. It would've been in your best interest to have stayed in prison. But...you’re out. You messed with one of our women, a blood relative. I thought you would've learned something being in prison for that long. And what do you do when you come out? You go after Grace again and stick that shrivelled up dick in her without her consent.”
“P…p…lease,” he begged in desperate short breaths. So, the fucker still had some life in him. Good, that was how I liked it--when they could stare at their own death in the face.
“My men could’ve made this really easy for you. We could’ve have easily just cut off your dick. But that’s getting a bit old, right, fellas?” I asked them. “I think a slow, excruciating and painful death is more suited for what you did to Grace.”
“I…I w…was high, I h…had no idea what I was doing. Please just make it quick.”
I took the Dirk and ran it along each side of the fucker’s jaw. He barely made a sound as the blade sliced through his skin.
Securing my gloves on more firmly, I stabbed him in the chest and held it there for a few moments. “It’s just a shame Grace will never know how your life ended. There is no way we can tell her what we are doing to you, but I’m sure, knowing you’re rotting in Hell with give her great peace of mind.”

Apples, anyone?A sweet recipe & excerpt from the saucy love storyTHE MAUSOLEUM ROADAFFAIRBy Author Patricia Miller

(© Can Stock Photo Inc. / paulbinet)
I grew up in a modest, cozy bungalow with a big old apple tree in our front yard. As a kid, I climbed the tree and plucked apples to eat in the shade while I waited for the school bus. I ate wayyy too many apples, and probably a few worms! Ick, I know.
It’s no wonder that there are several apple references in THE MAUSOLEUM ROAD AFFAIR. One of the secondary characters in the novel even has “apple” in his name – Mr. George Appleton of Appleton Law Firm. Mr. Appleton is a plump, likeable lawyer who plays a role in a GIANT surprise for Brianne, one of many in this artistic, freckle-faced brunette’s life.
I adore all food and drinks made from apples: pie, crisp, juice, crumble, sauce, butter, cider, and slices dipped in gooey caramel. I go nuts for glossy red candy apples at the fall fair, and sour apple gummy rings!
Below is a short excerpt from THE MAUSOLEUM ROAD AFFAIR where handsome Dr. Moss serves his sexy guest, Brianne, a sweet apple dish.
And after the excerpt, I’ve shared my delicious, easy apple crumble recipe just for you!
EXCERPT:Robert served them each coffees and dessert plates, each featuring a slice of apple pie with a slab of cheddar cheese and a blob of vanilla ice cream. “I baked for you myself,” he said, as he took a spot beside her at the table. The scent of cinnamon and sugar wafted from the plate to her nose. “My, Robert, you are always full of surprises!” But this time it’s my turn for surprises, she thought.Robert shoveled a healthy forkful of pie into his mouth. “I wanted to show you that I’m glad you came today,” he said.“I felt terrible about the way we left things, and about the way I acted.” Brianne joined him in devouring the sweet dessert.“You were understandably emotional. Besides, you’re darn cute when you’re angry,” said Robert. He playfully kicked Brianne’s bare foot under the table.RECIPE: Warm Apple CrumbleFive large peeled apples, Granny Smith or Macintosh1/2 cup white sugar1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 cup flour3/4 cup brown sugar1/2 cup cold butter2 handfuls of oats
Cut peeled apples into wedges and discard cores. Lightly grease a 9x13 glass baking dish. Spread apples across the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle the white and brown sugar over the apples. In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients (chop cold butter into smaller pieces first) and stir well. Spread mixture evenly over the apples and pat it all down. Bake 30-40 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven until it bubbles and the apples are cooked. Take a tip from hot Dr. Robert Moss and serve your sweetie this treat with vanilla ice cream and slices of cheddar cheese. Dig in!

The Celtic Fan By Deanndra Hall

As erotic as the night had been, there had been no hesitation, no embarrassment, not a single apology, and there had been nothing dirty or vulgar or obscene about it. It was incredible, but it was also more than wild animal sex, and we both knew it. I kissed her shoulder, then drew her arm out and kissed down the inside of its length. That’s when I noticed it for the first time, her arm turned just the right direction in the candlelight. On the inside of her left wrist was a tattoo of a tiny Celtic fan.
We were like two fifteen-year-olds, exploring each other’s bodies, acting as if we alone had discovered the oldest pleasure known to man, were the only ones to realize that penises and vaginas fit together. There was a wonderment, a sparkle to it all, and even after all the women I’d been with, I felt as though Diana had stolen my virginity, as though she was the very first woman with whom I’d ever become one.”

I began writing and, as I did, the words began to pour out of my fingertips. They were so passionate and lovely that I couldn’t stop. I wrote in a frenzy because I knew that once my daughter walked back into the house, I’d go back into “full-time mom mode” and that would be it – it would never be finished.
I wrote. I wrote for three nights and four days. Without sleeping. Barely eating. Only occasionally getting up to go to the bathroom or stretch. Writing was all I did. And I finished it the day before she was set to return. Late that evening, after a nap, I opened the file and read through it. I’d assumed that, considering the way in which it was put down, it would be a four door, brass-plated disaster, and I was shocked to find that it was both clear and beautiful. Then I closed the file, caught up all of the things I was supposed to do while she was gone, picked her up from the airport, and never looked at it again.
In the next five years I devoted an enormous amount of time to writing, but I never went back to the book.
Time passed. I’d stored the files on three and one-half inch floppies. Somewhere along the line, I had one of those hideous Zip drives, and they got moved around to those cartridges too.
Several years and three computers later, to my horror, I found that the files were gone. I looked everywhere, scoured old floppy disks, searched through old hard drives. Nothing. They had vanished, lost in the technological shuffle.
Oddly enough, in mid-October 2013, over thirteen years after I’d first written this book, I was telling my partner about it. I’d never even mentioned it to him before, and after I explained the plot, I lamented, “It was really, really good. I wish I still had it.”
And then, on Halloween night – Samhain to me – he was recounting his trip to our ancient county courthouse that day and telling me about a clock crashing down from the wall, almost hitting a lady passing by. He said one of the security guards commented, “Yeah, we’ve had lots of poltergeist activity today.” We laughed about it.
But as I went to bed, I had a sudden thought: I’d bought a brand-new external hard drive, and it occurred to me that, although I backed up my files every night, I’d never checked to see if they really were backed up. I went back to my computer to check and found that they had not transferred, and my heart froze. I had to back them up. What if lightning struck? I’d lose everything I’d been working on, including several completed manuscripts. So I manually copied files, then opened the external hard drive to check and see if they were really there. I went to the search bar and typed in “writing.”
Up popped dozens of files, things I couldn’t identify. I stared at them in disgust, wondering what junk they could possibly be and where they could’ve possibly come from. I opened one that seemed particularly odd, and gasped.
There they were. The book; four books, in fact. All of the short stories. All of the poetry. Everything I’d wondered about, looked for, lost – all on a brand-new external hard drive.
To this very moment, I still have no clue how they got there. No one was more surprised than I, and I began to cry to the extent that my partner came to see what was wrong. I couldn’t believe it. It didn’t make sense, and yet there they were. I made note of where they were located, closed the files, shut down the computer for the night, and went to bed, barely able to sleep.
It was with shaking hands and a racing heart that I opened the file for The Celtic Fan the next morning and had the distinct, unimaginable joy of seeing these words intact and as beautiful as they were initially, a full thirteen years since their original writing.

Justice is afraid she’s losing her mind and just wants to forget everything. But when her best friend is murdered, another one is being mind-screwed by a Vampyre, and her ex is back in town, looking as scrumptious as ever and very suspicious, maybe she isn’t all that crazy!
Just when she thinks that life couldn’t throw her anymore curve balls, Justice figures out that she is Vampyre Doll and there’s a vampyre who seems very familiar to her, but she can’t figure out from where.
Justice is suffocating and drowning in a dark world she’s been tossed into, forced to survive. It’s a world she never wanted to know about and would love to ignore, like it doesn’t exist. But, with every passing day, she’s pulled deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, wishing for everything to go back to the way it was.

ExcerptDante leaned in, his cool breath against my cheek. “Acceptance is the first step to overcoming misfortune.” Misfortune was a light way of describing my current life. “I got a proposition for you,” he says as I felt a shiver race down my back.I looked at him curiously. “And that would be?”Dante looked over at the far corner, where there were a few classic 1940s wooden pool tables. “I win, you unwind yourself through whatever measures.”I withheld a smartass response. “And if I win?”“Your misfortune will be no more.”Studying Dante, I murmured. “How can you guarantee such a thing?”“Because I’m awesome,” Dante said with a smirk, a handsome half smile that made me want to press my lips against his. Ugh, I’m dancing with the devil. “Or, are you not so familiar with the game?”“If I choose not to play it’s because one, I have a date and secondly I just don’t want too.”“Or,” added Dante. “There’s a tiny mental acquisitiveness that you can’t get rid of when it comes to me and it makes you want to avoid whatever this is. At all costs.” Ding, ding, ding! Dante hit the jackpot. However, I refused to let it show that he was right on target.Dante continued, staring deeply into my brown eyes. “Although, you may simply suck at pool and don’t want to be shamed.”I tried my best to hold in every emotion that was bubbling inside of me. It was a mix of excitement and fear. Hot and cold. Night and day. Such contradictions I couldn’t think straight.Struggling to hold in my composure, I said, meandering past Dante and towards the pool tables, “I’m a goddess,”He said, following behind me, “Cocky little vixen.”“Not cocky,” I said over my shoulders. “I told you, I’m a goddess when it comes to pool. I’m untouchable.”
