B.D.'s books are published in British English (UK). This means that in some areas British and American spelling is different.

Born in Cornwall, B.D. enjoyed a fulfilling twenty-five year career as a nurse and health visitor before writing her first historical romance novel.

Since the publication of her first novel in 2013, B.D. has been twice nominated for the RONÉ “Best Indie and Small Published Book Award" and short-listed for the "New Talent Award" at the Festival of Romantic Fiction in England.
