Amaranthine meaning

I had an elderly gentleman email not to long ago about the meaning of my title for Amaranthine...I must admit when I thought of the title I really didnt think that people would be thrown off by it. Amaranthine~ Undying, eternal, love. What does Amaranthine mean to you??
