Upcoming Projects (That are not up for preorder.)

Here is the definitive list in the order I will be working on the books x3 times per week (x2 times per week will be dedicated to play projects or whatever I want to work on.)

If the book you are looking on is not on this list, it is either in the “play project” category, which has no set order or it is scheduled to be a continuation only after this list is completed in its set order. Basically, don’t ask about it because I’ll just tell you “When I get there???” I don’t know. This is the onl...

Regarding Doggone Mess.

Unlike 101 Ways to Die, which is coming out in the Dirty Deeds 2 anthology next week, Doggone Mess was only the first completed arc of a much longer story. Think of it as a book one in what will become a longer-than-normal Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count.)

At current estimate, I will be adding an entire novel worth of new material. (I was not going to charge $6.99 for what was released in Dirty Deeds 1. I’m mad, but I’m not that mad.)

When I say “it’s being expanded”, I really d...

A Picture Guide to how Plaidypus interacts with Client from Hell and 101 Ways to Die.

Because I’ve gotten many, many, many messages from those who really, really believe the author note in Plaidypus was a lie… no, no, I promise you Lucifer is the Lord of Lies, I’m just the poor author saddled with tracking his truths and falsehoods.

The author note in Plaidypus IS correct. The above flowchart explains how the precursor portion of Client (the nasty cancer part) fits in with Plaidypus/101 Ways to Die. It also partially explains why I did it in the order I did.

I understan...

Kickstarter Preorder Store Coming Soon!

All right, folks. The moment is almost upon us! The preorder store via backerkit is coming.

US addresses will be able to get books for $25.00 each with $3.50 shipping plus taxes per book. The $25.00 is the same as what was charged in the preorder, and the shipping is at a better rate than the kickstarter because there will be no swag included. (I will be able to ship via media mail.)

I am working on adding select countries to the preorder store, but as a warning, shipping is NOT cheap. At ...

Author to Author: A Brief Guide to Publication

Every now and then, I do these posts, updated to account for the changes in the publication world. Since I’m hot off Plaidypus hitting USA Today, I thought I’d go through the entire step-by-step process of books come to the market.

Complete with mistakes I made, hopefully so you don’t make them, too.

1: Write a book.

That could be a novel-long education detour right there, but we’re going to start with you having a manuscript in hand. It has a beginning, middle, and end. It hasn’t been ...

Upcoming Release Schedule: Moon Tamed, Doggone Mess, and the Vampire of Montana. (Also included Patreon updates, kickstarter, etc.)

Hey, folks! Your resident crazy person… er… author here! I’ve got news! Fun news! Happy news! Let’s get right to it, shall we?

Coraline Patten enjoys nothing more than facing new challenges, but when she’s asked to evaluate Moonriver’s ruling faction, she worries she’s bitten off more than she can chew.

Allasandro Stephans has reigned since she’d been a child, unwavering in his dedication to Moonriver. His heir, Calden, has supported him every step of the way. Together, the shapeshifti...

Regarding the End Note in Plaidypus.

The timeline I listed in Plaidypus is correct

Lucifer is the Lord of Lies, and him (and his minions) cut their teeth on lying .

If you want to know why Lucifer might lie about it, consider the lab incident with the vampire. Start doing some deductive thinking on why.

Plaidypus does happen prior to the events of Client from Hell, and Lucifer is the Lord of Lies for a reason.

I hope that offers some clarity!

Plaidypus made USA Today (#135)

I did not expect this today. I was 99.99% certain there was no chance I would make the list with this book.

But that 0.01% reminded me good things can happen to those who work hard and keep trying.

I am over the moon, but please don’t pinch me. (I’d rather not wake up right now!)

In anticipation of 99.99% chance of failure, I had penned in eternal disappointment between 2-5pm (PST.) Instead, I now have to deal with 0.01% of elation partnered with disbelief and a heft side dish of “w...

A clarification regarding my previous post.

Hey, folks.

Just to make it clear, the previous post regarding the conclusion of the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series has zero relevance or bearing on any other series I’m working on. If the series name does not start with “Magical Romantic Comedy” or “Magically Hellish comedy” or an “Otterly Magical Comedy” it is not being discussed regarding being completed.

But since I’m here, here’s the current to-do list.

Mag Rom Coms (to be concluded, see this post for more detai...

Upcoming books, general updates, etc, etc, etc.

Hey, folks. (I swear, one day the cats will get off their lazy rumps and do some work around this place, but in the meantime, you get a very tired me.)

It has come to my attention that my birthday falls on a Tuesday next year. This means the mythical double release rule is invoked. Doggone Mess had already been selected as next year’s birthday book… but as it’s on a Tuesday, you’re also getting The Vampire of Montana: an Agents of the Royal States Novel.

You’re welcome.

Now with the goo...
