This Summer's Going to Be...
...whatever you make it!
Hopefully, you plan on including a few good books during the next few months.
Summertime is almost here! June 21st!
Do you know what else is happening on June 21st? Beaten Track Publishing is releasing Summer Bigger Than Others , of which I'm a part of.

Fourteen LGBTQ short stories by a host of talented authors that feature a little something for everyone: summer romance, summer sizzle, summer fun.
My contribution, Fang and Fortune will also be released the same day.

Fab cover? Thanks to Natasha Snow.
Fang and Fortune is about Micah and a chance of his lifetime. He never gets a break and takes a chance at summer fair one night. There he meets a striking fortune teller named Omar. But everything isn't as it seems. Though the voices in his head are cautious, Micah can't help being drawn to him.
And neither can Omar.
This is something a little different from me. A little urban fantasy meets night time fun. And a Ferris wheel.
I'm also participating in the MM Romance Group's Love is an Open Road event. The stories released so far have been fabulous! Don't you agree?
Keep an eye out for An Unexpected Acquisition. Coming soon!

MM Romance Group Members Choice Awards and I'm nominated?!! Thanks!
Until the Bitter End & Geeking Out on 11C got nominated for a few awards at the MM Romance Group's Members' Choice Awards.
I'm honored and grateful. But what's the next step?
Gotta share with my boys, of course.
I ran over to Ed and Mateo's floor to share the good news on being nominated for a few awards.
Ed is usually home so I tried him first. No answer. I banged Ed's door for a few minutes. I got a little nervous but I forgot to try 11C. Duh.
I didn't have to wait long when I tried Mateo's door. Are you surprised? No? Well what happened afterwards surprised me.
Mateo was all grins and I admit I melted a little while we exchanged congratulations through his open doorway. He wore a faded tank top, he should have just worn nothing. I didn't see Ed. I assumed he was sleeping in.
"You guys are nominated for Best Humorous, Best Cover and Best Love's Landscapes story. We got these badges and--"
There was a loud bang. I look over Mateo's shoulder at the source and quickly turn my back. Oh my god. I interrupted some sort of sex game they were having.
"I am SORRY for interrupting you guys and your--" I point and spin my hand in circles behind me because I have seen some freaky things in my life but Dino porn-role playing? That's new. Even for me.
"Hey! LL, do you think this is accurate?"
"Dude, you're asking me about your sex costume?!" I couldn't stop from turning back to stare. Mateo be damned.
"Sex costume?" Ed's standing there with his hands on his green covered hips. I had to turn around before I figured out where the hole was.
"I'll come back another time." If Mateo would move his arm from blocking my exit, of course.
"Babe, you're wearing suspenders with Yoshi on the bottom. Nothing else."
Ed got flustered from the implication. (What else is new?) I tried to figure out if Dino porn was still a thing. I wonder how it'd go down in a bedroom.
"It's not a sex costume."
"I'm not judging if it were. What you two do is your business--"
"Close the door! Before anyone hears her!"
Mateo did just that and gently turned me around to face Ed.
"Comic Con, LL. He's trying to decide his costume for Comic Con. Give me some credit here. If it was a sex costume, you wouldn't have to question."
Ed blushed and cleared his throat. "He'd make anything into sex costume."
On that we all agree.
Mateo smirked. "It's a gift."
"I'm going as Mario but I wanted to see if my Yoshi would be too much."
Oh."I'd need to see the entire outfit before I yay or nay it. By the way, Geeking Out on 11C was nominated in the MM Romance group. How cool is that?"
Ed turned to me and knocked over another figurine off their end table with his tail.
"Really? Do we have to make a speech?"
I stared at him in his Dino costume, I have Mateo's arm wrapped around my shoulder.
Speech totally unnecessary. I'm pretty thankful at this moment.

Until the Bitter End:

VOTING HAS STARTED!! I need to head to the polls as a couple of my favorite books were nominated...and I also like to comb through the nominees for more books to discover and read. It's a never ending cycle. =D

Testing...testing...1, 2, um...hey
I'm going to try this blogging business.

The laziest writer meets sporadic blogging...should be interesting.
What to say...what to say...hmm...
Thank you for reading anything I've written. I read all the reviews, comments, etc.
I will have a new short story out December 1st titled, Kiss Me At Kwanzaa ! This is part of Boughs of Evergreen: A Holiday Anthology, featuring 23 holiday stories that fall under the GLBT spectrum and covering a lot of holidays. The anthology proceeds are going to a great cause, The Trevor Project . Anthology will be out a little earlier, November 21st - info here .
About my upcoming story, I remember being in the MM Romance Group one day and a reader wanted to know if there was any Kwanzaa themed MM Romance. And no one could find one. I figured I'd give it a try and introduce a pretty diverse family that doesn't fit in the typical mold.
It's a cute, kisses only short story featuring coworker romance. Hubba hubba! There are a few chuckles (hopefully), a few aww moments and smiles.

And I plan on writing a spin off on one of the main character's brother. I like him a lot. I think he and I can get into some fun times.
Follow up story updates for: Making a Little Wrong into Something Right (I didn't forget Lucas), Geeking Out on 11C (Mateo and E have finally got their butts in gear with a plot - one of them is mentioned in Kiss Me at Kwanzaa meaning I need to write more about them) and Until the Bitter End (Charles and Victor...theirs was not a follow up I planned but I don't like saying never. This story almost didn't happen. I can't leave them out in the cold.)
These will happen...and I have some other fun stories planned in my head.
It's the transferring part that I'm still working on. =D
