May 4 question - It's the best of times; it's the worst of times. What are your writer highs (the good times)? And what are your writer lows (the crappy times)?
The best of times is writing a decent draft, and happy with the outcome. The worst of times is not having a single thought of what to write next.
Today is is a good day for me as I release my 11th novel.
Secrets ~ Lies and Sorrow are Lurking in the Shadows...
No blood. No body. No murder.

That's what the police found after Penelope spun her bizarre tale. In a hysterical state, she said her father was butchered and eaten by a mob of birds ~ in her bedroom.

They claim she's crazy.
That she suffers from delusions.
Penelope is dead set on proving them wrong.

After being institutionalized for eight months, Penelope is out and more determined than ever to find answers to her so-called hallucinations. With her father's untimely disappearance, she's convinced her family is hiding something sinister.

April 6 question - Have any of your books been made into audio books? If so, what is the main challenge in producing an audiobook?
It took me a while to learn the process of producing my books into audio. I now have 8 novels available in Amazons Audible Library. There are various sites for producing audio books, I chose Amazon. At first it was time consuming to learn the procedure: Royalty shares, promo codes, choosing a narrator...etc. In fact, I'm still learning.

March 2 question: Have you ever been conflicted about writing a story or adding a scene to a story? How did you decide to write it or not?

I write Young Adult books, and I'd been conflicted about writing romantic scenes. Scenes that would take my characters past the kissing stage. As an adult, I'd be silly not to believe that teenagers are experimenting on every level. Some more than others...
Books like John Green's, Looking For Alaska, and a few of Sarah J. Mass' books, to name only two fabulous authors, have gone well beyond kissing.
When I read Marie Lu's Legend trilogy, I was impressed how she penned an intimate scene. It was almost poetic, softening and veiling the act.
A couple of my books have gone beyond kissing. However, like Marie Lu and a few other YA books, I leave the specific details to the readers imagination.
As a writer what have you been conflicted with?

Feb. 2nd. Question: Is there someone who supported or influenced you that perhaps isn't around anymore? Anyone you miss?
When I finally pursued my writing journey, it was my mother who read all my novels. While she hadn't participated in the actual process, I could always count on her support.
It's been 3 years since I had to say farewell. I miss her terribly, but I still feel her in my heart. 💖

What's the one thing about your writing career you regret the most? Were you able to overcome it?
My biggest regret was putting my writing on the back burner.
At a young age I liked scripting plays and performing them with friends. As a teen, I wrote short stories and even submitted a few to magazines. Then came marriage and 5 children. My life was full.
Not until my children were teenagers did I put my pencil to paper and wrote my first book, Wickedly They Come, a christen fantasy.
I can say I did overcome that obstacle. I guess age doesn't matter when it comes to writing.

 Polish those manuscripts and
get those pitches ready to throw at the pros.

The next #IWSGPit will be in January 26, 2022,
8:00 am - 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Dec. 1 question: In your writing, what stresses you the most? What delights you?
After many drafts and hiring a professional editor, those darn typos stress me to the max. And when I use precious time writing 10k - 30k on a story and then decide it's not working and scrap the entire thing. Ack! Also, when I feel the need to rework scenes to the point of exhaustion. There is a moment when I have to say enough is enough.
Delightful, is constructing a decent plot. Or when a smile has its way on my face while I'm rereading certain passages that I really like. And then I say to myself, "I wrote that!"

November 3 question - What's harder to do, coming up with your book title or writing the blurb?
Honestly, both. However, after the novel has been through many drafts and has been edited, I can usually create a blurb. So, in the end, I guess it's the Title that gives me the most angst. Even now, I'm in the midst of racking my brain for a title for my newest and completed manuscript.

What do you find harder: The Blurb or The Title?

October's question: In your writing, where to you draw the line, with either topics or language?
This is a good question. I write young adult novels that crossover for adult entertainment, which means I write lots of angst, emotion, feels, and kissing, and hopefully a good story to go along with those emotions. If it goes any further, which it has in a couple of my books, I don't get into specifics. I have read many YA books which have scenes that curl my toes, and we'd be ignorant not to believe, young adults are not having sex. Though, I am remiss to get into those details in my writings.
I do have swearing. The big F-word and others ~~ because if I'm being real, and being a teenager myself, many, many moons ago, teenagers swear. As an adult you are fooling yourself if you think young adults don't throw vile language around on a daily or weekly basis. I have toned it down because, personally, I rarely cuss.
Where do you draw the line?
