JULY 4th
I was lying on the beach reading a book whose author was totally unknown to me, but that a friend of mine had recommended me. Reading the beginning: a literary agent receives an extract from a manuscript to see if he would agree to take care of it, I said to myself: one more time a story of a manuscript that will unveil secrets, then very quickly, I was caught up in the story that multiplies the twists and turns of perspective. Really captivating, I read it in one go and I recommend it.
If you like mysteries, paranormal and exoticism, my novel "Murder at Abu Simbel: a mystery of ancient secrets" will be available in e-book FOR FREE on July 8th and 9th and on July 15th and 16th
www.amazon.fr/dp/B018GJ8Y2M
You can see the trailer presenting the novel on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErYOm...
or directly on my Goodreads author profile
Have a good time

SPRING BLOG
Hello, I hope my blog finds you well.
To begin with Spring, one of the book I read recently which is a story about: can books, movies and other cultural expressions help everyone in his proper life? This is the subject of “ The Meryl Streep Movie Club” by Mia Marcha
Isabel's husband is unfaithful. June promised her son that she would find his father he never knew about. Kat does not know if she should marry her best friend and Lolly, the mother of Kat makes them an unexpected revelation. The three young women settle into Lolly's hostel and take part in the weekly movie night, and this time Meryl Streep's films are screened. The girls and their mother are discussing the films, talk about their concerns, their way of seeing life and the answers that Meryl Streep brings to certain questions through her films.
The novel is dealing with current situations and asks the question: to what extent fiction (novel, cinema, theater) allows us to identify with the characters and situations experienced by the figures in order not only to exteriorize emotions, but also to rethink our own lives, to draw resources from them, to take an action or to adopt new attitudes. The answer seems to be yes if the film is taken as an a opportunity for discussions and make easier to speak about things we feel.
The book is very pleasant to read (apart from some lengths, too much details for my "taste") even if you are not specially a fan of Meryl Streep, but it is obviously more appealing if you saw some films of this actress.

Hello,
I hope you started 2017 with good things (good reads, of course and things you can enjoy for)
I found a recent edition of the novel « I, the jury »(1947) by Mickey Spillane, translated in French by « J’aurai ta peau ». The first investigation of Mike Hammer (well, a good-choosen name for the detective !)It’s a good detective novel for you if you like action, glamour (only super sexy girls) and a strong character decided to go the end !
News about « Murder at Abu Simbel » : the kindle is still at 1.05 $ (usual price : 3,00 $) and the paperback is in the giveaways list until february 13.
Best regards ! I, the Jury

first blog
Hello,
Thank you for supporting me. I have the pleasure to write just now my first post.!!!
Just one year ago I have discovered that most of my books (in French) were already on Goodreads and I didn’t know it ! (happy birthday !)
Also one year I have published “murder at Abu Simbel” a translation of the French” La dormeuse d’Abou Simbel”. So I have discovered I can create a “author goodreads dashboard” and progressively I realize the many links (but of course, it is just for now a very small part of the reality !)which exists in this community but I didn’t have the opportunity to interact with other people except occasionaly.
So, again, thanks to everyone for making me easier to become a member of this community.
This first post is also an opportunity for me to begin presentations of books I have read (not a lot of books for my first post!).
The first one: An officer and a spy by Robert Harris is revisiting the Dreyfus Affair with a precise reconstitution of all the historical details and the various political and other issues of this trial. The author being familiar with historical re-enactments.
The second is “the husband’s secret” by Liane Moriarty; a very suspenseful novel combining a story with tension becoming greater and greater, many strong characters and what was very pleasant, a great sense of humour which didn’t at all undermine the growing suspense !
Concerning my novel “Murder at Abu Simbel” there will be soon a promotion: the price would be during a time at 0,99 $ instead of 2,99. I ‘ll give more details in a next post.
About two weeks ago, I create a You tube channel entitled HAPPY BOOK DAYS. You can see the trailer of the novel on this channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF0N...
or directly on the Goodreads author profile
At the end, after this post, I will open “ask the author” for my novel in English to become more familiar with interactions with readers !
Best regards. At soon…
