A Bit of This & That

Happy Monday all you readers and writers!

My new blog post is up: A Bit of This and That. I confess I almost forgot to do the blog post this morning. So it's a hodgepodge of important matter. I've included some info on what the Eclipse of 2017 was like for me, what I'm working on, what's happened in my life and in my area, and what's happening down the road.

Plus there is my weekly offering for #pinyourpen. I hope you'll join me in this weekly show-and-tell.

Don't forget to leave me a question or comment. Yours might end up on my monthly chat Q&A.
Thanks for stopping by,
Yours Between the Lines,
Sherry

The Need for Poetry Never Ends

Good morning fellow readers and writers,

I've posted a thought about the end of National Poetry Month and why our need for poetry must never end. If you drop by, I'd love to hear your opinion on the subject.

Also, the new pen for #pinyourpen Monday is up on Instagram via @thepoetphoenix

Did you catch my live FB chat on Saturday? I have a special contest for an editing review! One winner will get an edit of 3,000 words. But the only place you'll find the instructions is in my video, from my newsletter (which came out Sunday), or if you belong to my Reader/Street team. So check out the video and enter! You have thru May 5. Spread the word!

I look forward to sharing thoughts with you!

Novels Need An Oral Exam

Hello and happy Monday -- this is the end of the month already! Where has the time gone.

This week's blog post is about the Oral Review your novel needs and the one you probably aren't doing because it's too much trouble or takes too much time or are too lazy or don't figure you need it. Oops. Might want to rethink that!

My pen this week on Instagram is a Whistle! That's right. Pop over and give a look (only two or three more before the year-long series ends!)

Are You Using the Wrong Slang?

Good Monday all writers and readers,

Hope your New Year is going well and that you didn't make resolutions but began healthier, happier habits!

I have a new blog post up this morning on using slang in your writing. Are you incorrectly dating yourself or your characters? Give a look and add this to the checklist for you and your betas! And readers, something to consider when asked to review!

Keeping things short today. Look for more new stuff and a live chat is coming to my author page.

Read and write often,
Yours always, Between the Lines,
Sherry
