Free digital book!
Hey guys,
So it's been a few months since I released Necromancy... And Other Mystical Things, and sadly it hasn't done well at all in terms of sales. So before I wrap up my writing career (after two failed books), I thought I'd put up the digital version on Amazon for free! So for the next 5 days you can download it from Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01HSGGU66
I hope you enjoy it!

New Book.
Hey, so have you ever had one of those days where you say "Screw it." put all of your current works on hold and start something new, something fresh, something different?
Well, I had one of those days. Usually with my writing I have a basic story and plotlines in mind, but I let my writing take me where it will causing me to discover new things along the way. I like it, it's fun, but it can be draining and discouraging not knowing where you'll end up.
But today I started a project that has a clear end goal. I know who the character is, I know where the story is leading, and it's refreshing. In fact, I was able to pump out around 6,000 words today. It only took a few hours, really. I'm excited about writing for the first time in forever, and I can't wait to finish this one.
I'm still not sure about one thing though. I'd like to keep it short and concise, maybe around the 30-40k word count. I know I can keep it that short, but I wonder if anybody would be interested in reading it. I would also like to turn into a serial of sorts, something like the old Sherlock stories, or a Hardy Boys collection.
I know, I know, that's a long way out still, but ya gotta start somewhere, and I think this is a good starting point. I have plans for my Private I. and I feel good about it.
If you read this, lemme know if a quirky novella about a traveling Detective interests you.
Thanks for reading!

One More Thing!
I forgot to mention, to anybody who comes across this in the next few days: I'll be having a free give-a-way on Amazon for Lizzy!
The digital version of Lizzy will be free to download this Friday (Jan 3) to Sunday (Jan 5). If you're unsure about it and don't want to spend the 4 dollars to buy it, feel free to download it for free!
If anything, it'll help flush out the bookshelf on your the ereader or tablet you got for Christmas! :D
Anyway, check it out here.

P.S. If you want to get a hard copy version, you most certainly can. Unfortunately, I can't just give those away, so they're still full price.

Chipping Away.
So, it's been a little while since my last post (that nobody read *sad face), but here's another update sorta thing.
I've hit a bit of a lull with my newest creation, but I hope it's temporary. This happens to me around this point in time while writing - the 15-20,000 word mark always messes with me for some reason, but if I can overcome that, well, I'm in the clear usually.
In the mean time I've been continuing my review work for Eye Trauma Press' Sanitarium Magazine, which you can also find on here. I'm not a credited author, but I've been doing review work for them for about 8 months now, and it's great.
Recently I've been interviewing a lot of really cool authors too, which has been both informative and fun.
Anyway, this is more of a time killer then an update anyway. But, if you've taken the time to read it, I hope that you enjoyed it!

It Begins.
The road to authordom has been an interesting one. It was a long and arduous process filled with highs and lows, culminating with the ultimate high: finishing the bloody thing. And now, here I am, on Goodreads filling out a blog.
I don't know if I'll ever gain a follower, I don't know if I'll sell a book, let alone a million, but what I do know is that I wouldn't trade the experience in for anything. There's something special about starting, and finishing a book, something utterly unique and satisfying about it. Something that can only be understood by somebody who has done it (or the equivalent: Finishing a movie, a play, screenplay, etc...).
So, with that said, I would appreciate any feedback, reviews, or ratings on Lizzy, or any future works I get published. Yes, there will be future works; in fact I'm knee deep into my next novel now.
If you'd like, feel free to follow my blog for any updates or crazy ramblings.
Oh, of course check out Lizzy!
:D
Thank you,
Casey.
