Jack Hayes
Somewhere in the world is Jack Hayes, the journalist…. He hides in the shadows and reports from war zones. The last time I pinned him down he was launching the novel Candleburn, but now his covers have become more controversial. These days a Jack Hayes novel will bear the Swastika (also known as the gammadion cross or cross cramponnée) as he writes about Germany during World War II.
With the claim to fame of being the fastest downloaded author of a WWII book I cannot wait to get my friend Jack Hayes into Room 42….
He is mysterious, a man veiled in secrecy and not only does he hide in the shadows but hey… so do his offspring. Mini-me Jack Hayes is learning young how to keep himself out of the public spotlight while hanging on to the media attention that his father brings home… Oh yeah folks here’s one to watch out for in the future… Welcome also to mini-me…

Doran Ingrham

Doran Ingrham
He’s one of the coolest guys I know and probably the most popular guest on Simon’s 10Q Interviews, outrating high street bestsellers and the like. Why? Well, all I can say is roll over Chris Ryan and Andy McNab…. Doran is an ex Marine special ops character turned author, risk management specialist and actor. Since we last spoke he has been in all sorts of TV appearances. He has charisma and he is a damned nice fella! Just don’t get on the wrong side of him as he is also a trained marksman and assassin… possibly a great character for one of my own novels!
Let’s take a look at what he has been up to and hear a word from Doran himself before he enters that daunted place that we call Room 42…

Simon, Since we last interviewed I’ve been fairly busy!
1. I worked on a television pilot for the Lifetime channel. Titled Deliverance Creek. A Brit, Jon Amiel, produced and directed it. I was cast in a recurring role, Indian John. If the series gets picked up I’ll be reprising the role as written. Indian John is one mean, bad tempered run away slave hunter during the American Civil War.
2. I now have three novels published. Black Eagle Force: Blood Ivory
was the first and is still the number one selling book for Timber Creek Press, my publisher. The second and third novels, Blood Brothers (A Mark Ingram Adventure Book 1)
and Dark Secret (A Mark Ingram Adventure Book 2)
are both selling well. The Mark Ingram Adventure series came about due to reader interest in the protagonist of Blood Ivory and a spin off series was created.
3.I am half way through novel number four, Nicaraguan Hell ~ A Mark Ingram Adventure and expect to have it published in December of 2014.
4. All the books are fictional. All are based on contracts I performed while working for nearly two decades as a Risk Management Specialist. I change the locations and names involved to avoid possible legal actions or pursuit by those still alive who may be looking for me.

Martin Fletcher
From all genres and methods of publishing, one always sticks in my mind as the most harrowing, but yet most inspirational as it is based upon fact.
How he managed to retain his sense of humour after 35 years of reporting from the most dangerous areas of the world is anybody's guess. But he did and with it remained modest and grounded despite earning every accolade journalism could offer him from the DuPont Prize to Golden HUGOs, Royal Society Awards, 5 x EMMY's and more...
