Becoming Jane: A Film Review

AnneHathaway is Jane Austen in Becoming Jane, a 2007, British-Irish biographical film. Except for the scene that comes just after the title cards, where Reverend George Austen and Mrs. Austen engage in an early morning sexual intimacy on their bed, this film is watchable and on occasions, par excellence. Jane Austen is the youngest daughter of Reverend George Austen, who is the topic of some heated debates at her home regarding her marriage.

What Do We Mean by Ending?

I wrote this, back a few days, inside the computer lab, amidst the hustle bustle of a crowded college. That’s my work place I just referred to, by the way. I planned to write something on the concept of “ending.” This thought was actually a way to distract my mind from the very real fear of death and endings of good things. When I'm Lost

Grace-X

Find me when I’m lost,Fill me when I’m empty,Stand by me when I’m alone,Come to me, when I’m away.Break through the shackles,Shower your grace,When I’m just a solitary star,In the sky of dreams, asleep.
Tomorrow: Epilogue.

Days-Hands-All

Grace-IX
Days of sorrow wash away,Hands are dusty; kneel, and pray. All is meaningful, close to you.

When You Feel Pain

Grace-VII
When you feel pain,I feel it too. When you feel numbness,I feel desperate like a prisoner. When your toes glide, Upon the mattresses of life,I am alive.

Meter

Grace-VI
This poem has no meter,It stretches like my deep skin,To the limits of my passion,Until it draws blood,Upon the inhibitions of nature.I, still, stretch it, closer to you.Bless me with just one touch,And gratify my quest for grace.NEXT PART: Tomorrow. PREVIOUS PART: HERE What is Grace? See the answer HERE.

Not For The Faint Of Hearts

Grace-V
Love is not for the faint of hearts,Love is not for the brave ones,Love is not for the loner, either. It’s for the one, who met You,Myself—dear Grace, because of you.
