WHISKERS OF A CHANCE is now out in #audiobook!
Guess what just went live…? WHISKERS OF A CHANCE is now out in #audiobook!!! Oh, and I just heard the sample for it and Craig Beck is totally yummy as my reader. I knew I wanted him just from the audition, lol, but he exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to hear the full story done by that man
Jason Grant runs his own IT business from home, owns his own home, and has the best friend he could imagine. What he doesn’t have, or believe he will ever have, is love. When Jason catches a glimpse of his new neighbor on moving day, his libido ignites and his fascination in piqued. He even manages to concoct an excuse to go over and meet the man who makes him hope and want for more than he has in years.
Keith Skyler is a shifter in a world where his kind is known only to a few, but they don’t often mix and they never mate. Keith has been hoping for a mate since before he can remember, but gay lynx don’t have true mates. As far as he knows, they don’t have mates at all. However, while moving his little family across Seattle – and away from their tribe – his reality tips and spins more than he thought possible.
When these two men meet over a dish of five-cheese broccoli noodle casserole, sparks fly. Who knew a welcome-to-the-neighborhood gift could give both of them their chance at love?

Chana Masala Kale Bowl – Meatless Monday
The seasoned chickpea dish chana masala, while traditionally meatless, gets a new twist in this recipe. Served over a kale alongside shredded beets and sunflower seeds, it’s part salad, part curry and totally delicious. This recipe comes to us from Alexandra of The New Baguette. Serves 4. For the chana masala: 1 tablespoon organic

Blog Tour: Acceptance by Grace R. Duncan
Hello! And welcome back to the Acceptance blog tour. First off, thanks so much to Tempeste for letting me post today. It’s much appreciated!
Back at my stop on Drops of Ink, I talk about the time between the Patience epilogue, when Quincy and Miles first talk, and the beginning of Acceptance. Well, there’s roughly two months between the two and during that time, Miles and Quincy exchange a few emails, texts, etc. with each other in an attempt to get to know each other. At the aforementioned Drops of Ink, you can find a text conversation between them. Today, I’m sharing an email chain I thought you might enjoy.

I hate subject lines.
These will have to be limited. I’m still…not home. Text is the best for now, but I can send a few. Where were we?

I won’t laugh. Half the manga I read has romance in it. I do graphic design for my job. But I like to draw characters and people. Did the wolves have a lot of destined mates?

Sorry that took so long.
No. Well, it’s getting more common now that we know there are human mates. Still unusual, though. What brought you to Pittsburgh?

Blurb:
Dr. Miles Grant acknowledges that his destined mate could be either gender even though his bisexuality cost him his family and his pack. Luckily he found the Forbes Pack, who happily accept him just as he is. What he never counted on was finding his mate in Pittsburgh or for his mate to be another species entirely—a cat!
Quincy Archer isn’t just any jaguar shifter. He is the heir to the leadership of his pride. Destined mates are nothing but legend to the nearly extinct and generally solitary jaguars, and Quincy certainly never expected to find one for himself, much less a male… or a wolf.
However, finding each other and coming to terms with their species is the least of their worries. Quincy is expected to select a proper female mate, father a cub, and take his place as heir to the pride. Except Quincy refuses, having no interest in women or leadership and knowing he isn’t right for it. But his father will stop at nothing—not even attempting to kill Miles—to get his way. Quincy and Miles must overcome many obstacles to stay together as the destined mates they’re meant to be.

About Grace
Grace Duncan grew up with a wild imagination. She told stories from an early age – many
of which got her into trouble. Eventually, she learned to channel that imagination into less troublesome areas, including fanfiction, which is what has led her to writing male/male erotica.
A gypsy in her own right, Grace has lived all over the United States. She has currently set up camp in East Texas with her husband and children – both the human and furry kind.
As one of those rare creatures who loves research, Grace can get lost for hours on the internet, reading up on any number of strange and different topics. She can also be found writing fanfiction, reading fantasy, crime, suspense, romance and other erotica or even dabbling in art.

Did you know that the first three books of the Desires Entwined series plus Caged Sanctuary are all audiobooks AND Whispersync ready? Desires’ Guardian and Temptations of Desire just came out! How sweet, right? I’m super excited and the voice, Jeff, is really a super nice guy (the good kind of nice, and the fun kind, promise
). If you already have the Amazon Kindle version, you can upgrade to audio for only a few bucks more and have it so you can switch back and forth. I love that feature, personally. Signs of Desire is in the works, I’ll update you on it when I know more.

There’s over 24 hours of “reading” going on here that you can listen to while you’re jogging, driving, ignoring your annoying coworkers…. Misaki “Aki” Itou is a psi—a person with mutated DNA granting him psychic abilities. He’s also a contracted companion—a whore. It may not be the perfect profession, but having a roof over his head, food to eat, and not being subjected to torture is a dream come true. He is the top companion at the Hidden Gem, and it makes him enough money to buy the prettiest, most sparkly shoes he can find.
Shane McNaughton is an Irishman who survived the Third World War and works as a cop. Head of Missing Persons, he’s good at finding people, but after the plague of the Third mutated his DNA, he has a hard time letting anyone see the monster inside. He’s been paying for Aki’s services for two years, both the psi and the sexual kind, but he wants more from the companion.
Shane needs Aki’s ability to see into another person’s past to track down a serial killer murdering the children of rich and powerful men, but the more they work together, the clearer it becomes that they are linked through a darker past than either of them realizes.

Review:
Aki’s life has been a combination of nightmare, pain, loss, abuse, torture, and oddly, most recently family and maybe even love. He can’t touch people unless he wants to be subjected to their thoughts, pain, and memories. This is kind of a problem since he’s also a companion(whore)—the top paid one in the all of City M, in fact. Being a psi isn’t easy and isn’t something he can hide—their eyes give them away. There are only two exceptions to his touching issues, his best friend, Candy (also a companion) and Paris (a senator who was once a companion at the Hidden Gem just like Aki), not that anyone knows why they can touch him and it not send Aki into convulsions and nightmares.
Detective Shane McNaughton—whom Aki and Candy call the big DM, lol—hasn’t had a great life either. He’s the product of a plague that spread through the ranks of the Northern soldiers at the end of the 3rd World War. He survived, but it changed him. He is now a genetic mutation who must change monthly into his animal form. It’s not tied to the moon and it’s lycanthropy, per se, but it is painful, dangerous, and most don’t survive the first change. He did and that was decades ago.
There’s a serial killer on the loose killing kids and then mutilating them. McNaughton seeks Aki’s help but that comes with a lot of risk to Aki as his powers are never kind to him. All this is intermixed with the two of them trying to deal with the realization of desires, needs, kink, sparkly shoes (Aki has a serious pretty shoe fetish that Shane is more than happy to help feed), Aki’s past coming to light—a past he didn’t remember!—and more.
This is not your simple little story that will be a quick, easy read for a lunch break. It is however a sexy, sensual, read that will have you turning the pages to try to figure out what’s going to happen next, what happened to Aki, who the hell the baddie is, and just where did he come from…. There are so many layers that I reread the book before I reviewed it, not wanting to have missed anything. And yes, I enjoyed it just as much the second time!
As anyone that’s read my books know, I have a thing for food and clothing in my stories… and I just l o v e Aki’s wardrobe and shoe horde. This is not a shelf or even collection, I assure you. I promise, the mention of these trappings and more are in no way extras or fluff. It always adds to the scene and the character in a positive way and often makes you understand them just a little more. I’ve never seen clothing, shoes, and makeup used so skillfully!
Hidden Gem is an incredible thriller, a stunning and creative romance, and a true Lissa Kasey story. I cannot wait to read Cardinal Sins (book 2) and cannot recommend this book highly enough.
