Another #TristanThursday #erotic #romance

Happy Thursday, or should I say happy Tristan Thursday? It's time for another excerpt from Crash Into Me, which is coming in just 13 days! I'm getting so excited--I can't wait for everyone to meet Tristan and Nina and begin their story!

Today's excerpt is from what my friends call the famous "dressing room scene." There's something very hot about a man seducing a woman over the phone as people shop just feet away. So without further ado, here's a little more of Crash Into Me.

Excerpt:

Two women walked toward me as I stood in the dress I'd been wearing for far too long, and I so wished I'd changed clothes before going shopping. Feeling self conscious, I avoided meeting their gazes, instead looking out the window at the activity on the sidewalk. "You must be Nina," the blonder one announced. "Mr. Stone told us to expect you. We have everything picked out and if you follow me, I'll take you to a dressing room."I did as she asked and found myself in a dressing room almost as big as my entire apartment. A dozen different dresses, outfits, and business suits hung around the room. I looked at the price tag on one of the dresses and my mouth fell open. My portion of the rent on my apartment was only slightly more. I couldn't afford these clothes. Immediately, I opened the door and stuck my head out to find the blonde who'd escorted me to the room. She stood with her back to me hanging clothes on satin covered hangers, and I said, "Excuse me. Miss?"She turned around and flashed me a toothy smile. "Is there something I can help you with?"I was embarrassed to say I was too poor to afford anything in her store, so I whispered, "I think there's been a mistake. Mr. Stone didn't mention how..." I hesitated and stumbled over my words until I finally blurted out, "He never said they'd be of such high quality."Thankfully, she seemed to understand what I had so clumsily referred to because she gave me one of her supermodel smiles and nodded. "Oh, that's been taken care of, miss. Mr. Stone will be paying for everything."She returned to her work, leaving me alone in the dressing room that could house a small family, my head spinning from what she'd said. Not only was I now employed as an assistant curator for Tristan Stone, but now he was buying me an entire wardrobe so I could be ready for my first day at work? It all seemed too good to be true. I tried on one outfit and then the next, impressed that the women who worked at Le Ciel knew my size just minutes after I walked through the door. I hadn't stood there for that long, yet the clothes fit me perfectly. As I twirled around in front of the three way mirror, swinging the black skirt that matched perfectly with the grey see-through blouse, my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, but I was in such a good mood, I broke my usual rule and answered it. "Hello?" I sang happily to whomever was on the other end. "Good morning, Nina."My heart began pounding wildly at the sound of his deep voice. Tristan. "Hello.""I'm so happy you agreed to sign the contract," he purred into my ear. "Are you happy with my choices for you?"I looked down at the clothes I wore and then around the room at all the beautiful outfits hanging there just waiting for me to love them. "You chose these?" I asked, stunned. "Yes.""Oh. I don't know what to say."I didn't. It was all at once exciting and overwhelming to know he'd taken the time to come here and pick out clothes for me."What are you wearing, Nina?""The black silk skirt and grey see-through blouse. It's very nice.""I'm sure you look beautiful in it. I want you to take it off," he said in a distinctly commanding tone."Do you want me to try a different outfit on and tell you if I like it?""No."Confused, I did as he ordered and stood in my bra and panties, just as I had done in front of him the previous night. "Okay. I took it off.""Are you wearing only your pink panties and bra I saw you in last night?""Yes," I said with a smile as the memory of our time together flashed through my mind. "Good. I want you to sit on the large ottoman in the middle of the room."I did as he desired. "I'm sitting, Tristan.""Good. Lean back and lie down."I did as he ordered, loving the sound of his deep voice telling me what to do. "Okay.""I want you to close your eyes and think about how it felt with my mouth on your pussy."An involuntary moan escaped from my throat at the sound of his words entering my ears. This was the most he'd ever spoken to me, other than telling me about his plans for his house, and I loved hearing him talk like this.

Whew! It's getting hot in here! Until next Tristan Thursday...

Hot Summer Heroes #Giveaway

Welcome to the Hot Summer Heroes Giveaway Hop hosted by Caris Roane, H.D. Thomson, and Bella Media Management! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. :)

So what makes a hero hot? For me, it's a man who takes care of a woman in all ways. Of course, if he's incredible looking with a smile that makes a woman melt, that's great too. When I began writing Crash Into Me, I had a vision of what my hero would be like. Tristan Stone is wealthy, powerful, and gorgeous--many women's fantasy and mine too. ;) The picture above was my muse as I wrote him. I love my job! Readers should be prepared for a very sexy hero in Tristan!

I'm giving away an ebook copy of my contemporary romance Crash Into Me set for release on August 28, so the winner of this giveaway will receive the book BEFORE it hits the stores. If you love sexy contemporary romance, you'll love Crash Into Me!

Here's the blurb:

What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?

So how do you enter? Just leave a comment below this post with your name and email and complete any of the extra entries in the Rafflecopter. The more you do, the better your chances of winning! One winner will be chosen at random and receive a copy of Crash Into Me BEFORE its release. The giveaway is open internationally, so everyone is eligible to win.

Good luck and happy hopping!

A Taste of Crash Into Me #TristanThursday

I'm in Las Vegas for the RNConvention, but I wanted to share what I'm calling #TristanThursday--an excerpt from Crash Into Me each Thursday as we get closer to release day.

On Sunday, I posted 8 sentences from a scene in which Tristan tries to teach Nina how to tie a Windsor knot. He's less than successful, mainly because she can't concentrate when he's so close. Here's what happens next. It's an extra long excerpt, so enjoy!

He slid the tie from my neck and undid all his work. "Now you show me what you learned."I attempted to take the tie from his hand, but he pulled it away and whispered, "On me. Turn around and sit toward me."Nervous fear shot through me as I stood up, and I hoped I'd be able to turn around without my legs giving out. The dress I wore only fell to the middle of my thighs, so when I straddled him, it was likely to ride up so far my panties would show. I didn't care about that so much as him knowing that I was already dripping wet just from sitting there pressed up against him. Taking a deep breath, I turned around and climbed on top of his lap. He stared into my eyes, unnerving me, but something held me firm in his gaze. His hard cock pressed against the front of his pants and my damp panties. There was no way he didn't know how excited he'd made me. I took the tie from his hand and slid it around his strong neck, even as my fingers trembled at the feel of him underneath them. Trying to hide my ignorance of my task, I wrapped the wide end of the tie around the narrow end, but it was no use. I didn't know what came next. Dropping the two ends of silk, I looked down to avoid his gaze. "I'm sorry. I don't know how to do this.""You didn't listen when I told you how to?" he asked in a voice that was as seductive as it was stern.Shaking my head, I continued to look down at the untied ends of the blue fabric laying against his shirt. "I couldn't. You were so close, and it was impossible to pay attention to what you were saying."He slid his hands down my back and cupped my ass to pull me into him, grinding my soaked panties into the thin fabric separating his cock from me. Kneading my flesh through my dress, he whispered near my mouth, "I love how honest you are, Nina. It makes me want to be honest with you."I wasn't sure how to answer, but it didn't matter. As my head swum from the sensations he'd created in me, he pressed his mouth to mine and kissed me. His lips were soft yet demanding, and I eagerly kissed him back, seeking a release of that sweet ache, but his kiss only increased the feeling, making me want more. He nudged his hips off the couch, sliding his cock over my sensitive clit, and I couldn't stop myself from moaning into his mouth. I didn't want him to think he had this effect on me so soon, but I was powerless. I wanted him so badly at that moment, I would have done anything to keep his hands on my body.
Don't miss next week's excerpt from Crash Into Me for #TristanThursday! And be sure to share today's excerpt with the buttons below. Thanks!

Weekend Writing Warriors #8sunday

I had to miss last Sunday's WEWRIWA because I was deep in final edits for Crash Into Me, but now edits are complete and this week I'm back with another 8 sentences. Crash Into Me is a sexy contemporary romance, so I thought I'd give a little of that sexiness today. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the sensual timbre of his voice combined with the feel of his hands so close to my breasts made paying attention impossible. I thought he said something about the wide end and the narrow end, and he may have said something about looping, but I was lost in the experience and couldn't have cared less about the actual tying of the tie.       "Finally, tighten and you're done."       I opened my eyes and looked down to see his hands so big resting on the tie below a perfectly done Windsor knot, his large stainless steel watch heavy against me. My lower abdomen tightened at the feel of his fingers on my body, and a delicious ache settled into between my legs.       How wonderful it would feel to have those hands gliding over my skin, those fingers touching my body.       He slid the tie from my neck and undid all his work. "Now you show me what you learned."

Tattooed Heroes

It's August 1, so we've entered Crash Into Me's release month! Woohoo! Edits are complete and the book has been formatted for ebooks and the print book, so now it's just a matter of waiting the 27 days for the big day.

While we wait, let's enjoy ourselves, right? How about a hot man with tattoos? I'm definitely liking that.

When I began writing Crash Into Me, I decided my hero, Tristan, would have a tattoo. To be honest, the incredible man in the picture below was the inspiration for Tristan. Nice, huh?

I start to drool every time I see him. Time for a napkin. ;)

There's something so hot about a man with a great body and tattoos. My heroine, Nina, loves tattoos also. Tristan's begins over his heart and is twin snakes that form an inverted heart shape before they join with a tribal tattoo that travels down his left bicep to his elbow.

Very hot! I think I might need that napkin again. What is it about a man with a tattoo?

Okay, I'm off to begin packing for the RNConvention in Vegas next week. If you're going, be sure to look for me at the book fair. I'll be at the Gabrielle Bisset table with Crash Into Me swag, so I hope to see you there!

27 days and counting until release day!

Food In Seduction

I'm finishing up editing on Crash Into Me so the ARCs can go out on Monday, and today I'll be fine tuning a scene where Tristan feeds Nina some of her favorite foods. For me, the idea of a gorgeous man feeding me is incredibly sexy.

The first time I had this happen to me was at my junior prom. No kidding. My date was my boyfriend Rich, a relatively quiet guy I'd been dating for about two months. I was crazy about him but we hadn't had sex yet, so I was anticipating prom night as our "first time." We were seated with three other couples at a table and after we'd done the prom picture thing, we were served a fruit appetizer. As the other three couples dove in, Rich took the spoon out of my hand and placed it on the table. Before I could say a thing, he fed me a piece of pineapple, all the while staring into my eyes with the hottest look I'd ever seen on another person (I was young, but it was hot).

The other girls at the table all turned to their boyfriends and began complaining about why they hadn't done anything like that as Rich proceeded to silently feed me my entire appetizer. It was the most romantic, sexiest thing I had ever experienced and still rivals much of what adult men have shown me in the years since. I still to this day have no idea how he thought to do it since he was nearly as innocent as I was and never showed himself to be particularly adept at seduction before (he was 17, so we'll give him a break on that LOL).

I've been fed again a few times with different boyfriends and it's always really sexy, but I still remember that first time with that shy teenage boy. Rich and I broke up a few weeks after prom, but he gave me a great memory I'll be thinking of later today as I edit Tristan and Nina's dinner scene.

Have you ever had someone feed you or have you ever fed someone as you seduced them? It's definitely something I say a man or woman should have in their seduction repertoire. ;)

Weekend Writing Warriors #8sunday

Welcome to my stop on the Weekend Writing Warriors hop! My book Crash Into Me is almost through edits and ready for its ARC debut next week, so I'm sharing 8 sentences from it today. It's a sexy contemporary romance, so here's a sample. Enjoy!

A little setup: Nina Edwards is the female MC in Crash Into Me. Just a couple years out of college with an art history degree, she works at an art gallery. As anyone who's lived through those early years of a career knows, it's often less sexy than they'd imagined it would be. But sometimes, fate steps in and makes the job a little less odious.

Here's the blurb for Crash Into Me, and below is the excerpt:
What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?

8:

His gaze fixed on mine, brown eyes staring at me as if we knew each other intimately. My brain told me to look away, to break the connection, but the rest of my body rebelled. I wanted to feel those eyes on every inch of me.

"Nina, what are you doing? I saw at least three patrons with empty glasses as I crossed the room. Chop, chop!" Sheila barked in my ear, tearing me out of my fantasy.

My boss marched away, and I watched as Tristan and his women moved on to another painting. Everything was as it should be with everyone in their correct place--him with a group of gorgeous women and me with my tray of cocktail weenies.

What Is Sexy?

There are certain things that are always sexy.

Power. Confidence. Intelligence. A great body. A deep voice whispering in your ear what he wishes you two were doing while you're standing in a crowd. A look from across a room that lets you know you're all he's thinking of. His hand on the small of your back as you walk with him.

As I write, I look to construct vignettes to show those sexy moments--scenes that powerfully show my characters' feelings toward one another. The vignettes are those parts of the story that readers always remember and refer to when they're talking to me about my stories. That's how I know they're doing what I intend them to.

I'll be showcasing excerpts from some of the vignettes in Crash Into Me in the coming weeks as the release date gets closer, so look for some sexy coming soon. For now, enjoy the pics (especially the last one, one of the inspirations for Tristan Stone from Crash Into Me, complete with tattoo on his left arm).
