Customer Review for Effectively walking in our Purpose
5 STAR REVIEW ON AMAZON
Excellent Resource August 29, 2013
By Danielle Marie
Format:Paperback
I have been focusing on living in the present this year. What better way to live in the present then to be able to live your purpose everyday. "Effectively Walking in Your Purpose" was a great addition to add to my nightstand stack.
A great book that encouraged me to think long and hard about my path and if my actions were helping me get where I wanted.
This is a short guide (six days) that really helped opened my eyes and encouraged me to create the life I want, using my strengths, weaknesses, and talents to get there. I really enjoyed this book and know it will encourage many.

Amazon Review
This treasure of a book No More Make Up was birthed out of both pain and restoration. Yes, both occurred but she lives today not out of the ashes of yesterday but with a new strength in the Lord to declare her victory and to inspire you on to yours. Growing up presented a series of traumatic events where the family's communication faltered, where a once treasured father became a drug addict, and where a scared child would remain lost in confusion and identity for many years. It is not a message of doom but one of hope and challenge to those today suffering from trauma.
If you struggle with any of these situations this book will benefit you:
-anger over your abused past
-inability to forgive others
-wanting to trust and open up but too afraid
-low self esteem from verbal and emotional abuse and/ or neglect
-feeling unloved, unwanted, and misunderstood
Her life happenings, she believes, we're allowed by others so that she could be of help to others facing similar setbacks. She states " I have to understand that though my childhood wasn't perfect, God used it for my behalf; to strengthen me, to give me a caring heart, to teach me to love or show me what mercy really is". Sex was used to cope and repeated attempts at suicide to no longer feel. It was a cycle that would continue until 9 years ago when she gave herself to Christ and that would unshackle her past, give her the proper identity and allow her to proclaim liberating freedom.
Today she is a life giver to others and will continue to pour hope into despairing hearts. Her spiritual gifts of exhortation and teaching has allowed her to reach women through the areas of coaching, speaking, and writing. A piece of her inspiration can be found in the following statement: "...I believe that you have to love above the past and the hurt or you will live your life inside of a plastic bubble; afraid to feel or experience the growth that comes along with the human experience".
I encourage you to allow author Thakore O'Neal to coach you to wholeness while pointing you to the greatest Physician Jesus Christ. Though this book is the first she has compiled I look forward to future works as she continues on the journey with Christ.
