August Reader Party
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been a bit absent but I have MAJOR NEWS coming this weekend and I've been doing a bunch of fun Author and reader things so I wanted to share real quick!
So yesterday I got to be apart of Author C.J. Ellisson's August reader party and it was a BLAST! So i'm deciding to post it here along with some of the great comments that came from everyone at the Facebook party. Also I'm giving more love to my 3 winners of my YA book giveaway from that party. SO with out further a due:
Hi i'm L.H. Nicole -or Lisa as many of my friends know me- and I write YA/NA fantasy/paranormal books with heaps and heaps of "Teenage love". (check out my facebook page next week for my full description about that)
I currently have two projects going a YA fantasy paranormal set in Roma, Italy and another NA Fantasy Romance: 'Legendary'. It is a CONTINUATION of King Arthur's story and that of his Knights of the Round Table, set here in present day and filled with crazy adventure, pet dragons, 7 magical realms and a kick butt heroin who is more than anyone else knows, even her.
You can find my author page by my name above (I get so happy when new people like my page!) and of course links to the series website and my other platforms to learn more about 'Legendary' and it's amazing characters…..good and evil because really, what's the fun of a book without a really good bad guy ;P
My question to you all is: what is your favorite versions of King Arthur legend: book vs. tv vs. movie
Last thing to note is the cover I am posting is not the final one. It is the one I created before I got my amazing news. I hope that the final cover will be similar to the one I have created here! Enjoy and please let me know what you think! I love to hear other's opinions.
Here are some of the comments that came from the postPatricia Statham actually I love the tv series called Camelot I don't know if you got it in the states but we have it in Canada .
April Kirkland I love reading different versions of king Arthur's tale. I also love the tv series Merlin that showed Arthur rise from Prince to King with Merlin at his side. I love to read anything having to do with king Arthur!
Linda Helme It's got to be a book for me, loved Arthurian books, just recently read one from J R Rain & have another lined up where Arthur is actually a girl, love a twist
Lisa LH Nicole Hood Then you'll love one of my biggest twists..... No love triangle between Arthur/Lancelot/Guinevere. That gets saved for our heroin and her White Knight and Golden King
Nathanie S. Serrano I don't like the triangle either for some reason. It seemed unfair to me.
Sherita Eaton Landers Author L.H Nicole's friend here: so she knows what i'm about to say when I tell you guys Go with Team Galahad lol when you guys finally read Legendary when it is released
Lisa LH Nicole Hood Sherita no biasing the possible new fans.

Meet Daggerhorne~ Aliana's guardian dragon
The Destined One surprised me. Aliana is so youthful, so vulnerable. Her heart is broken and aching with loneliness. What has she suffered to feel so? Shame washed over me. I was supposed to be her protector, not spend two centuries locked in a cage! How can she do all she must when self-doubt and sadness rule her? ~Daggerhorne
Photo (c) Lisa Hood
Daggerhorne, or Dagg as Aliana calls him, is a silver dragon born of Titania's prophecy to fulfill one purpose: Serve as the "Destined One's" guardian and help her defeat Mordrid and Morgana. Daggerhorne is the only dragon we meet in the first book, Legendary, but in the next book we will learn about all the types of dragons that make their home in the purely magic realm of Tir Na Nog. Silver dragons are considered the wisest of all DragonKin and have power of the very stars and the energy of the universe. Before he was captured by the Sidhe, Daggerhorne traveled the earth and magical realms for several centuries, his purpose to learn as much as he could to aid the "Destined One" when she came forth.
So that is our first look at Daggerhorne, as always head over to my web site and Tumblr page to get a better, and more in depth look at all our character's profiles so far.
Till next time my Lovelies<3 always L.H.

Meet J'alel- Elf of the Red Wind Forest and Avalon
I watched the girl, hidden from her sight, the Pegasus still by my side. Is it really true, this slip of a mortal girl is the one who will restore the Golden King? I am not sure she will survive the Sidhe. The Pegasus huffed at me, trouncing it’s hooves. Clearly the creature disagreed with me. We will have to wait and see. ~J’alel
Photo credit to http://magnaleon.deviantart.com/Elves make their home in the forests of Avalon, one of the 7 realms that make up my "Legendary Universe". J'alel is the second magical being that Aliana meets after finding Avalon. (The first is a Water Nymph- The Lady of the Lake- Deidre) He saves our heroin- Aliana Fagan- from a bit of a messy situation involving some goblins and a troublesome Pegasus. As you can see he is very skeptical that this young human girl could actually be the "Destined One" that all the realms have been waiting 1500 years for. The real question is can Aliana change J'alel's mind and regain his- and his people's- support for the coming war?

Meet My Merlin
The call of Avalon’s magic shocked me from my slumber. The Destined one must have found Avalon. I searched out Sabine, she needs to make everything ready for the King. But how do I find them? Titania’s magic had forbidden my return to the forests. I’ll have to find another way. Soon Arthur will be restored, and so will my powers. ~Merlin

Merlin Wylit is a very different guy now than he was in Camelot. He still hold the creed of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table in his heart: Justice, truth, loyalty and honor. The Knights of the Round Table are King Arthur's inner circle of Camelot's Knights. And unlike all other Arthurian tales, Merlin is not just a trusted adviser to Arthur, he is also a Knight of the Round Table. He is not the greatest of swordsmen but his skill with magic makes him more dangerous than most can imagine... When his powers are at their full strength. But there is another who has laid him low for her own reasons, and he has paid the price for his betrayal of the woman for the last fourteen hundred years that he has lived.
This is just a small insight into who Merlin is in Legendary, as always you can go to my website and get a much fuller profile and insight into this amazingly complicated and, though he wouldn't admit it, damaged character.

Meet my Mordrid
It’s weakened! For the first time in centuries I can feel the barrier thinning. She must be there- my escape--my queen. I am so close to having my revenge! I can feel her, her strength is unbelievable--a sirens call. Her emerald eyes have haunted me since the first I saw her. She will be mine! My Destined One!

Since Legendary is so new I thought it would be a good idea to give some introductions to the characters. As I was writing Legendary I realized I wanted to be able to give readers a better feel for the characters without having to write from many different POV's. My solution: Thoughts from the characters at the beginning of each chapter. Above is your first look at one of our villains Mordrid. Darkly beautiful, but so evilly flawed, his very presence will send chills of dread down your spine.
If you would like to see a fuller profile you can head over to my website Legendary Saga and check out his full profile as well as samples of Legendary.
I hope to see you there! Laters,L.H. Nicole

Legendary (Legendary Saga book #1)
Hi y'all!
Since I am so new to blogger I thought it would be good to tell you a little bit about myself and, of course, my book Legendary!
Legendary is the first of my new Upper YA/ New Adult fantasy romance saga breathing new life and twists into the story and characters know throughout the world, creating a realm of fantasy and adventure in modern time picking up where the Arthurian legend leaves off.
Hidden in the mountains of Avalon, King Arthur awaits the Destined One to call him back to life and battle evil once more. Ancient evils have returned, threatening the peace of the seven realms.
Aliana Fagan spent her childhood traveling the world with her parents, growing up on the stories of legendary heroes and mythical lands. But after the violent death of her parents, Aliana spent the next two years hiding behind her camera and in her photo-art. Yet she finds herself thrown into the one adventure she never dreamt could come true. Avalon, King Arthur, Dragons and the Knights of the Round Table. But everything she thought she knew about the Arthurian legends is nothing close to the truth.
Caught between her intense feelings for the noble Sir Galahad and her growing friendship to King Arthur, Aliana will have to lead the knights on an epic adventure across the seven realms to reclaim all they have lost and defeat Mordrid for good.
Yet Mordrid has plans for Aliana, and her powers, that even his greatest ally, Morgana LeFay, knows nothing about.
Along with her plucky guardian dragon, Daggerhorne, Aliana will discover the meaning of friendship, bravery, loyalty, true love and forgiveness. But can she do it all in time to save the realms from Mordrid's impending Armageddon?
So all in all Aliana has to deal with daunting tasks: the violent death of her parents, heartbreaking family secrets, monsters and dragons, mystical creatures (good and bad), learn to wield magic, discover life altering love and betrayal and characters who are not all they appear to be.
Now that you know more about Legendary let me tell you how I got inspired to write it. My favorite story growing up was always a toss up between King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and Robin Hood.
And I have currently fed my love of King Arthur by creating my new series based on the many legends of Arthur and his men. But Legendary is no retelling, that's been done so many times and I'm over it..... no Legendary is a continuation of the legends based around one of the best know lines of Arthurian lore: "The Once and Future King". So, as you can guess, Legendary picks up where the legends left off- with several of my own twists on the classic stories (come on now, we all know there was things we would have loved to be different!;P)
All that being said one of the biggest inspirations for me was BBC"s show Merlin. For those who know the show you know it was set back in the past, Arthur's and Merlin's beginning, and ended like all Arthurian tales do. Now my version has a few (kinds major) twists on the classic stories-see my rant above- but I still can't wait for another merlin fan to get a hold of my book because I really want to know what a Merlin fan would think.
So there it is, a bit about my book and me. Legendary is now up on goodreads so check it out if you have a moment!
Talk to y'all later!
