Day 3 of Legendary blog tour

Hi lovelies! I hope you've enjoyed all the funness of my blog tour so far!I was racking my brain trying to decide what to do for today's blog post when a friend suggested I talk a little about my writing processes. What a novel idea *LOL*If you've ever talked to or been to any author panels or interviews you'll know there are authors who are "Plotters", "Pantsers" and "Plantsers". Now what do these three words mean well.....Plotters: are authors who plot out everything before they start writing their books. It's an outline. Sometimes it can be an outline for just one book or for individual books AND the series.Pantsers: Authors who are gifted with the ability to just write and have it all fall out onto the computer. Then they go back in and edit and edit till it's perfect.Plantsers: (this is me) This is a combination of both the author types above. I am for the most part a plotter. You should see my iPad and closet doors............ I have story arc/plot boards for each individual book of the Legendary Saga then 1 major one for the entire series.I remember when my parents first saw it. They didn't know what to make of it all. LOLI've mentioned it before, I was fortunate enough to work at Disney for four wonderful years. (a dream I had always had since I was a kid) If I could only choose one thing that makes Disney so successful, across the board, it is this: EVERY SINGLE LITTLE DETAIL MATTERS!Disney's Gargoyles was and still is one of my all time favorite cartoons, and a large part of that was because every little detail you thought was just a coincidence tied into a later episode or story plot. That element is what draws me into things- be it books, movies, tv shows, whatever. And it was something I wanted to be sure to include in Legendary. So take this as a sort of spoiler; things you may think are just there or are a coincidence will most likely tie into a later plot point or story line!Wait this sounds like I am solely a Plotter......well let me give you two perfect examples of why I am truly a Plantser. Lacy and Flora. When I started writing, Lacy was only supposed to be in the dance party scene, as a way to introduce Aliana's personal life, outside being the Destined One, and introduce Wade. As I went on, Lacy just wouldn't be set aside and she managed to write herself into the story and now she has a rather significant part in the over all story. The Pixies are my second perfect example. Flora just wouldn't go away. She would sneak in here and there and bam, pop up in front of me and say "You know this part would be solo much better with me in it!" Thus she and Lacy found themselves as important characters in the over all story plot. You may not get to see a lot of them in the actual books, but they make a difference. Honestly there are several parts of book 1 and book 2 that just wouldn't have worked without them. There you go. A little peak into my process as a writer and what "author type" I fall into as an author. It doesn't matter how you write, everyone is going to be different, what matters is that you are doing what works for you and lets you tell the story you want to. And if you are a just starting out as a writer, I can say from personal experience, you'll most likely try several different ways of writing to figure out what works for you. Stars know I did.I started out writing chapter summaries by hand, in notebooks, and now I do little "post its" in my Storyist app on my iPad.I hope you've enjoyed the Legendary blog tour and my special extras! Don't forget to enter in the giveaway, plenty of chances to do so, and be sure to check out the final stop today! Sexy Book Reviews by Shelly and April (Don't let the age disclaimer stop you. A to Z theme reveal
It's March 21st which means the last day of my fantastical blog tour AND the reveal of my chosen theme for the 2014 A to Z blog theme!
As a refresher, the A to Z blog challenge was created in 2010 by the A to Z blog team. The purpose is to blog daily, about any topic that fits your theme, and have each day's topic start with a letter from the Alphabet. Since Sundays are the only days we do not have to post to meet the challenge requirements, that leave us with 26 Days and 26 posts. One day for each letter from the Alphabet.
Now that that's out of the way.... here is my theme for the 2014 A to Z blog challenge (my first one ever!)
YA books from A to Z
If you can't tell from the photo collage I created above, I've chosen my theme to be YA books from A to Z! And let me tell you, some of them WERE NOT EASY to find! But none the less, I have my 26 books, most ones I have read within the last 15 years.
Why all YA you ask? Simple: I'm a YA author. YA's are some of my fav books to read and the ones that inspire me to write my own stories. But you'll learn more about that during April!
To see the other blogs participating in today's massive theme reveal click here!
Till next times lovelies!

Legendary blog tour top 5 Arthurian tales
Hello my lovelies! I see Flora had fun on my pages yesterday. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as my Pixie seemed to. She kept chatting my ear off all day! LOLContinuing my "special posts" celebrating the blog tour of Legendary I wanted to give you my top 5 List of Favorite all time reincarnations of King Arthur's story. Now these will cover everything from movie to tv show to book. I can't tell you how hard it was to pick only five but, I've done it, just for all of you! SO here we go!
BBC Merlin: So I won't go into too much detail, mostly because I have a guest blog post coming soon that will explain why this is one of my favorite and most inspirational sources. Needless to say this was an AMAZING tv show for so many reasons! I wish it hadn't ended, but as a fan of this show I think I can safely say Legendary will be a perfect way to continue to get your "new" fix of Merlin and King Arthur!
Tristan and Isolde: I was still working at Walt Disney World when this movie was released. I remember it was pitched as "before Romeo and Juliet, there was Tristan and Isolde". I love Romeo and Juliet so I was way beyond on board with going to see this movie. But once I did I remember walking away saying: "This wasn't Romeo and Juliet! These guys are nuts! This was the love triangle story of King Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot!" All in all, a fab movie! Now I want to go watch it again.......
Mists of Avalon: A 1983 novel by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I fully admit it has been a while since I've read this book, but It as always stuck with me. I saw the movie first, hen read the book, and was surprised with how easily the two translated for me.
King Arthur: I'm pretty sure this was the first Arthurian tale I saw that King Arthur and Camelot was based in the 5th century, based on the Roman historical version instead of the 12th century. Plus the fact the Kira Knightly starred guaranteed that I would see it! I love Kira as an actress!
Camelot: This was another great TV show that I actually called my cable company and got premium channels, jus tot see this show! I loved the concept and the artwork and all the promo that I was seeing for this show. I can understand why it only had a one season run, there was definitely a lot I would've done differently and that is part of what I put into Legendary!
There you have it. My top 5 favorite Arthurian stories, but there is one more that makes honorable mention--mostly because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sean Connery. *******First Knight! To see the other blogs partaking in this 3 day blog tour check out Irish Banana Reviews and my dear friend MissLittleBookAddict's house of books<3 always LHAll photos came from boards on Pinterest

Legendary blog tour Flora takes over
Hi, I'm Flora! The most kick butt Pixie you'll ever meet!
LH is busy loosing her mind with all the excitement surrounding today's kick off of the Legendary Blog Tour so I thought I'd- ahem........commandeer.........her blog today *Wink*I have a VERY special surprise for you all. *jumps up and down* Not only am I going to introduce you to King Arthur, from
Legendary
, but you're gonna see another Arthur too!LH's friend, and fellow Omnific author, Carol Oates is also telling her own tale of King Arthur. Her book is called Shades of Avalon- book 2 in her Shades series. All I can say is WOW! Both of them are amazing-drool worthy-fantastical Kings. *fans herself* Aliana would DIE to photograph these two.Even better, I.......ahem.......accidentally came upon the first meeting of these two hot Arthur's. Here's the total insider's scoop on what they said to each other:Legendary—I am Arthur Pendragon, Son of Uther and Igraine Pendragon and King of Camelot.Shades of Avalon—I am Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot. My birth is a mystery, though some believed sorcery played a part.
Fifteen hundred years ago my kingdom was attacked from within by a dark wizard we all thought was a friend to Camelot: Mordrid. Through black magic and trickery he killed four of my best knights and nearly ended my life. But my loyal knight and Druid, Merlin, trapped the traitor and fled with me, Sir Lancelot and Sir Galahad to Avalon where we struck a bargain with Titania, Queen of the Fae. She saved our lives but bound us to a prophecy that tied our fates to that of a human girl, the Destined One.In a time of upheaval and magic, I was taken from my foster family to live in the citadel of Camelot. King Uther raised me as his own son. I trained as a knight and drew Excalibur from stone, claiming the sword and my right to the crown. I married Guinevere, a woman I accused of stealing in the market. She and Emrys, the crazy magic man I called a friend, strived for peace over the land. We were tricked into a battle with Modrid and Morrígan, leaders of a supernatural race called Guardians. They failed to take Excalibur, but Emrys was taken prisoner and I was mortally wounded. It was said she would come before the worlds drakes hour and bring me back to life and reunite my Round Table. Now, here in London, England she had found us and I, and my men, live again.Guinevere begged the Fáidh, the gatekeepers of Avalon, to save my life. Instead, they took me to the otherworld where I will remain until my peoples’ need is greatest. Now immortal, Guinevere lives in hiding and protects Excalibur from those who would use her and the sword for their own wicked plans.OMG!!! Totally EPIC right? Greatest thing about being a Pixie: I can be atonal fly on the wall to see AND hear soooo many interesting thing.I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did.....drool....Now go check out Legendary and the first book in the Shades Series. Or enter in the give away below to win FREE e-copies of both books!See you in Legendary!xoxo FloraP.S. go check out elsieelmore.com and Mercurial Musings to see more amazing posts for the Legendary Blog Tour!Image credits: cghub.com and Flickr

Legendary Cover reveal
Finally!! It is time to reveal the final cover of Legendary -created by my fantastic publisher Omnific! We also have the official blurb to go with it!
LEGENDARY by L.H. Nicole
Aliana Fagan spent her childhood traveling the world, dreaming of legendary heroes and mythical lands. But after the sudden death of her parents, she hides behind the safety of her camera and her art until a vivid dream has her to digging into her father's research about Avalon and Camelot. She is soon hurled into a magical realm by forces she thought were only the stuff of fairy tales, and finds herself thrown into an adventure she could have never imagined. And nearly everything she thought she knew about the Arthurian legends is wrong.
The independent eighteen-year-old is shocked to find that the people of Avalon think that she is the Destined One, the only person who can summon King Arthur back to life. Most surprising of all is that it's up to her to lead the Knights of the Round Table on an epic quest—an adventure that will transport them across the seven magic realms to reclaim all that has been lost so they can defeat the evil Mordrid for good. First, she must bring the ancient warriors into her world and reunite them with their lost brothers. But chaperoning legendary knights-with-a-chivalry-complex is a constant challenge, and she certainly never thought she'd be caught between her intense feelings for the noble Sir Galahad and her growing friendship with the King.
To fulfill the prophecy, Aliana will have to discover the meaning of friendship, bravery, loyalty, true love, and forgiveness. But can she do it all in time to save the realms from Mordrid's impending Armageddon?
............
OMG!!! Isn't it FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC?!?!?!? You won't find many YA covers like it!Legendary will be available to buy this coming Tuesday- Feb 25, 2014! Be sure to check it out.
