In the interim

Writers often have large gaps in their writing lives where one book has been released and the next is still under consideration. This doesn't mean we stop writing, far from it but it does mean there is time to potter about and finish back burner projects or try a different genre.

My husband and I have just returned from a month in Italy which is one way of filling that writing downtime. (Check out my FB author page for photos.) Recharging the creative batteries is important and now I'm back at home ready to go.

At the moment I'm completing a cosy mystery simply because I enjoy that genre but quite a few readers commented on my recent romantic suspense release Evidence of Love that they'd love to read my heroine's brother Ivan's story. Strangely Ivan had never occurred to me as needing his own book but those comments have me thinking seriously about it. I did like him a lot when writing the book and I couldn't bear to make him a complete stinker. He has his reasons.

I also have a nearly completed version of a companion book to my contemporary romance E For England featuring Annie's friend Leonie, the commitment-phobe with the A to Z chart of lovers who finds her match in James.

So, between releases there is plenty to keep me occupied at my desk.

Evidence Of Love

My first romantic suspense is coming from Escape on May 1st. I really enjoyed delving into more dramatic and dangerous territory with this story about a single mother trying to escape from her past as the wife of a crime gang boss.

The Escape cover artist did a fabulous job. The toddler is sweet and innocent, the young woman is fearful but determined to protect him with her life.

New release:Trouble in Nirvana

Trouble in Nirvana is available through Amazon's Kindle store as a pre release exclusive.

Just go to Amazon and type in the title.

The first review I had said this:
This is a delightfully crazy lovely story. The chemistry between Tom and Primrose is spectacular. It's commune is priceless. I was laughing out loud at all of Primrose's adventures, especially the snake. Of course my husband wasn't too happy because, I couldn't put the book down and at 2:00 in the morning is when I came across the snake scene.

New releases

Montlake are working overtime rereleasing the Avalon backlist but I also have a completely new book just out. Love On the North Shore Line is a sweet clean read set in Sydney Australia. It features Dimity a bassoon player in my fictitious City Symphony Orchestra, and her illfated attempts to get together with Marcus, an ambitious young financial whizz.

Hitting the cyber shelves on December 18th is the e version of The Tangled Web, also set in Sydney and featuring two members of the City Symphony. If you enjoy sweet reads these books are for you.

If you don't know much about the world of classical orchestral musicians take a peek at my two new books. The Tangled Web also features two dogs.

New E release by Montlake

Montlake is rereleasing my fourth Avalon book Outback Hero in E and paperback on Nov 20th. If you enjoy stories set in the Australian outback make sure you download a copy.

Outback Hero
Jonathan Knight can’t believe his eyes when singer Stella Starr appears in tiny outback town, Koologong. Stranded when her car breaks down, she is the answer to his prayers. If he can convince Stella to model the cotton clothing his company, Koolwear, produces, the struggling local industry will be saved. One problem. Stella is in disguise, calling herself Sue Starkey.

After a humiliating divorce, Stella flees the media spotlight. A celebrity since fifteen, she is desperate to be liked for who she is not what she is. Convinced no-one in Koologong recognises her, she enjoys the attention of local hero, Jonathan. What could he want from ordinary Sue? Nothing.

Falling in love becomes a torment, when both Stella and Jonathan find their deceptions looming like storm clouds over their future.

New E release by Montlake

Montlake have just released my 2011 book The Wedding Party on Kindle. The gorgeous cover won an award at our recent RWAustralia contest and the book was a finalist in the Golden Quill contest.

The inspiration or this story was my niece's beautiful wedding.
