Book bugs - audiobooks - love or hate?
Ok so audible's definitely my thing. No idea why I didn't begin having in-car story-time years ago, considering the miles I do for work!
Anyway, my latest Read it Write it a Sell it blog on my website thus week is all about the topic of good or bad narrators - what's your experience?
Recently finished book from Audible - Robert 'JKR' Galbraith's new cosy crime The Silkworm. An excellent read. And I didn't guess it - joy! Next - Lynda la Plante's Backlash, although I didn't realise it was the abridged version. Not a fan of abridged. But a good plot.
Anyway, if u would leave a comment on my RiWiSi blog go here - I'd be chuffed if u do!

Writing Update-
Thrilled that Liz Lamb has joined the list of authors for our Hallowe'en anthology! Short spooky stories for your delight n delectation! More soon...
Have a good week!

Weird skin and sun separation
Ok so it's not exactly about book writing, but actually I think my love of reading began with a weird skin condition - photosensitivity. I've had it all my life, and I talk about it on my weekly Back to You blog on my website.
Plus if you'd like to get a regular update on what's going on in my life and with my writing, I do a regular newsletter (short!) which you can subscribe for here.
http://www.debbieflint.co.uk/debbies-...
It's been pretty hot - but I love storms, don't you?! My favourite memory of a storm (a good storm) was being in warm night winds on a mediterranean beach on my first ever sun holiday as an adult. I went to Corfu with my pal Gilly and got sunstroke! Probably why the breeze was so welcome - cooling down my hot skin!
Anyway it's meant that my whole life, relaxing and holidays meant being out of the sun and burying myself in reading. So whether it was Clive Cussler, whose Dirk Pitt adventures fascinated me from the age of 16, or the latest JKR (as Robert Galbraith) on audible in my car, I am a true bookworm.
FYI the paperback of Hawaiian Retreat is on the way - had a glitch! Won't be long!
Enjoy my work and do kindly leave me a review on amazon/goodreads but only if you get the chance! Hawaiian Retreat steamy eBook already on 15 x 5* reviews so I'm very chuffed indeed! Some say it's the best of the three - and Hawaiian Affair ended up with 95 out of 113 five star reviews so let's see!
Best wishes for a lovely week!

Beginner's Guide to being a Writer
Hi again! Can someone tell me where the last year went please?!! And already it's summer again.
For those who don't know, my third steamy romance in the Hawaiian Trilogy is now out, and can be found on Amazon only at the mo - but I have a question - does anyone get ebooks from anywhere other than Amazon? Let me know - you can email me if it's easier - debbie@debbieflint.com.
It's been a busy year, what with my spooky short story When Dreams Return also making it online for Mother's Day, and the Diary of a Wannabe Shopping Channel Presenter at Easter (it's a bit Bridget Jonesy!)
And frequently I'm asked where to begin if you'd like to be a writer. Well we all had to start somewhere! I've just completed my 'ask the author' first questions and answers and one of them talks about what to do - and what I did.
I do love writing - it's who I am, I realise that now, hundreds of thousands of words later. Probably why I take so much time over my blogs! The RiWiSi one on my website every Friday is all about reading, writing and selling your work - RiWiSi (see?! lol). And the Back To You one on my website each Monday covers well being topics, and ties in with a QVC show (returning September 2014 Mondays 9pm).
Then the grandaddy blog is my QVCUk.com one, each Friday - must hone it down a bit - so many new stories to write!
Anyway, for speed, I can tell you if it works, the link at the bottom will take you direct to the article about where to begin, with lots of links to peruse to help you on your way. And when you're a successful author, give me a mention? hehe.
Best wishes

ps would love a review on Amazon if you get the chance, if you've read any of my books! Complete run down of my work is on my website www.debbieflint.com

any tips?
Hi Goodreads gang!
Am new to this website and have no clue how to work my way round it! Any tips, let me know!
I currently write a regular blog on qvcuk.com, (I'm a presenter) which features many links, updates and books of the week, in a segment called 'Read It Write It Sell It'! I've been running it since around April 2013, and in case anyone missed them, to avoid having to trawl back through acres of weekly QVC blogs, I have put some of the highlights on my website on the RiWiSi page. Do go have a gander!
(my link text
Anyway, I'm thrilled to say my first ever romance novel (steamy!) is now available on paperback, (and on eBook in instalments which gives an option to choose non-steamy versions of two of the four parts if preferred!). All on amazon. Kind pal Emily Harvale has added my novel, Hawaiian Affair, to the Best Debut list, so do feel free to go vote for it if you've loved it!
Nice to have finally managed to put all this up on goodreads. And glad to make your acquaintance on here!
best wishes
