Wheat and iron deficiency anemia
Modern wheat has been bred for greater phytate content because phytates provide pest resistance to the wheat plant. But farmers and agricultural geneticists ignored the fact that phytates are also toxic to humans.
In particular, the phytates of wheat and related grains bind nearly all the iron that comes from diet, making it an exceptionally common cause of iron deficiency anemia. Combine this with the absurd and destructive national advice to consume plenty of “healthy whole grains” and you have a recipe for disaster.
The solution? Simple: Eat no wheat or grains and enjoy a health and weight transformation that goes well beyond restoration of normal blood counts.

Could your medications be blocking weight loss?

How to reduce triglycerides
High triglycerides are a common finding on standard cholesterol panels and signifies higher risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, stroke, and fatty liver. While much of the information on a standard cholesterol panel is virtually useless garbage, the triglyceride value is indeed useful, as it represents an accurate gauge of VLDL particles that underlie heart disease risk.
Here are natural and easy ways to drop triglycerides (and thereby VLDL particles) from even high levels of 350, 500, 700 mg/dl or more to 60 mg/dl or less, a value associated with magnificent health and marked reduction of risk for heart disease.

Those of us who are wheat/grain-free living the Wheat Belly lifestyle typically become ill when we are re-exposed to wheat or grains, intentionally or inadvertently. So we avoid any re-exposures. We therefore recreate foods such as pizza, muffins, and cookies using benign, healthy ingredients. Interestingly, you can serve the foods made with these benign, healthy ingredients to people who continue to consume wheat and grains, but you cannot eat their food without getting sick.
Therein lies a very important dietary lesson.

Are you a cow?
The grazing ruminants of the earth are able to obtain virtually all their nutrition from consuming grasses and forage. They harbor specific anatomic and physiologic adaptations developed over millions of years to do so.
Humans have no such adaptations but are advised by all “official” sources of dietary advice to make grains–the seeds of grasses–the cornerstone of the diet. It means that there are numerous indigestible or only partially digestible proteins in wheat and grains that explain why autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal disruption, and other health conditions are so commonly caused by wheat and grain consumption in humans.
