Reviews for The Right Words... & a Better Than Short
Reviews on The Right Words have been amazing! A couple 5s, a few 4.5s, & 4s. I couldn't be more thrilled. There was a wonderful one I just read from Sammy at Scattered Thoughts Book Review. I won't post the whole thing but I want to share this part.
"I loved the banter between Michael and Luke. It was so carefree and made me smile endlessly. They had such a way between them that made me just want to crawl up next to them and become immersed in their interactions.
And then it gradually deepened. They were steaming hot and they were passionate and damn… they were great together. I flew through their story and was left hungry for more. There was just such a lovely balance in this story. A balance between sex and story, a balance between drama and lightness, a balance between vastly different characters"
I love it when a reviewer gets a book. The reviews that puzzle me are the ones who want a book in a new series to be a book in an old series. It's a huge compliment to any author to love the setting and want to revisit some familiar names and voices, but it's also fun to meet new ones. So keep an open mind. A new series equals new characters and often a new setting. It doesn't mean the author isn't committed to creating quality. It just means he/she is committed to change. And most of us reading and writing MM Romance can appreciate the need for diversity in a world that always wants to see the same things. The Right Words to me is in part about embracing diversity and taking the things others see as weakness and finding strength as well as a world of possibility. I hope you all enjoy it.
On another note, for those who cannot get enough of Matt & Aaron from Better Than Good, I posted a Xmas short story on my blog. Enjoy!
Happy Holidays & as always, Happy Reading!
