Hats for Blue Hydrangea Tea

I designed two hats - one for me and one for Candy for this Sunday's Blue Hydrangea Tea.  Top one is mine (naturally with the touch of peacock) and the blue one on the bottom I did for Candy.

A wonderful day at Waldeck!!

Today Candy and I went to Waldeck Farms for A Derby Affair - a benefit for the Human Society of Oldham County.  They have various vendors, refreshments and entertainment.  It was a glorious day, perfect for the event.  Waldeck is an amazing place.  I bought a painting of a cat that looked like Mouse kitty, and two cookbooks for Candy and me -- Cookbook for Pet Lovers.  We have a wonderful time.

Easter Beagle came!!

We went to Easter supper with Candy Thompson at OUR BEST Restaurant.  A great place that is on the site of an old flour mill - you like have seen the flour in the stores. This is the original mill in Smithfield Kentucky.

Candy made an Easter Bunny cake

She made me an Easter basket with Snoopy the Easter Beagle and a black-faced Scottish lamb.
all in all it was a wonderful day.

Hope your Easter was happy one too!

Congrats to Candy Thompson!!!

Congrats, to my dear friend, Candy Thompson, on her first place win in the second level of state competition.  Last month she won a blue ribbon in the Heritage Fair, which sent the doll to half state competition.  Her third year in a row for taking first place in this level of competition. The Gypsy was based on the Gypsy Fortuneteller from my book A Wolf in Wolf's Clothing . The wonderful doll goes on to full state competition at the end of next month.
