Seventh Night is now available!
I was preoccupied with the Book Release Party this week, so Horse Feathers is late again. Sorry! However Seventh Night is now release in Hardback and ebook format.Barnes and Nobles has both the Hardback and epub/Nook version available: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/seventh-night-iscah/1117076358?ean=9780983551942
Amazon has the hardback for sale: http://www.amazon.com/Seventh-Night-Iscah/dp/0983551944/
The Kindle version should be going up sometime this week.
I'm trying to settle my schedule into 8-hour days instead of 12-hours days, so I can catch up on house work. But I'm still aiming to get a dedicated website up this week too.

GMX
I'm haunting the halls of GMX (Geek Media Expo) this weekend to let people know about the Seventh Night Epic Book Release Party. I did write a chapter for Horse Feathers this week...and then I realized the scene was happening too early in the story. So I need to finish writing another chapter to keep things in sequence. (sigh)
Only a week away from the Release of Seventh Night. It's exciting and a little terrifying.

42 Hours Left!
I'm going to be discussing my work at the Author's Circle meeting in Franklin tomorrow. The coffee house is certainly open to the public, not so sure about the meeting, otherwise I'd post the address.
About 42 hours left on my Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iscah/seventh-night-hardback
I'm very happy to get the formatting fees covered. I'll be even happier if I can hit some stretch goals and cover some other expenses. My goal is to presell 50 copies. I'm a little over halfway there. I've taken some orders offline from non web savvy friends.

Seventh Night Exterior Sneak Peek

Still shuffling elements around, but I thought I'd show you some of the progress.
And happy news: I hit my Kickstarter goal yesterday!
Still three days left, and it would be nice to go over a little. Please consider pre-ordering your book this way. It helps cover printing costs and gives you a little a discount off cover price.

Seventh Night Interior sneak peak

A screen capture from earlier today. Interior layout for the book is pretty much finished. Consulted with a designer I trust today about the cover. Current version is passable but working on making it awesome.

Kickstarter and Release Party Progress
The campaign is making good progress, but with only a week to go it's crunch time. If you were thinking about pledging/preordering, now's the time. The Kickstarter ends October 25th. If you looked at it when I first started the campaign, please look again. I upgraded it with more images, better text, a book sample, etc. Will try to upgrade the video today, but no promises.
I've also been working on upgrading the release party. I now have other authors involved, potentially have some live music, and definitely have someone who's going to talk about/show some examples of Medieval weaponry. I even got a website going with an easy URL:
http://www.amoebaink.com/Epic/
And now the sad news. No new chapter of Horse Feathers this Friday. Too much to do and something had to give. Also it's getting into the final few chapters, so I needed to take a break and do a little organizing to make sure the story stayed tight and on track. I know Phillip's life in great detail, but not every detail moves the story forward. But hey, if you're behind, this is a great time to catch up.

Seventh Night Facebook Ads
So with surprising good timing, Facebook gave me a coupon for $50 of free advertising. I didn't want to waste it so I whipped up some Facebook ads rather quickly. It's not supposed to show the ads to people who've already Liked the book, so I thought I'd share them here.
It'll be interesting to see if these get any clicks. I think I like the first one better. I have some bookkeeping and tax forms that need to be addressed today, but after looking at some more Kickstarter Campaigns like Janine's, I'm getting ideas for upgrading mine.
I'm going to make it easier to buy tickets through the Kickstarter. I didn't realize you could have multiple goals at the same pledge level...so I'm going to fix that. Also when I was first planning the party, I thought it might be a little different...so I'm going to rework the ticket related rewards.

War of the Seasons Kickstarter
Ironically, the same day I started a Kickstarter for Seventh Night, one of my betas Janine K. Spendlove started a Kickstarter for the last book in her The War of the Season Trilogy. Please, check them both out.
I've been running around town for the past couple days setting things in motion for the Epic Book Release Party. If you're a Nashville local or will be in town November 8th, please consider coming. The more, the merrier...seriously the more people who buy tickets and get involved, the better our budget for food, entertainments, and door prizes.
Tickets are being sold through East Side Story near Five Points/Downtown and The Game Cave in Hermitage.
