CALICO JOE BY JOHN GRISHAM
Being a baseball fan but not a die hard one, I wondered if I was going to give up on this book as players' stats flew by like foul balls. But slowly, in John Grisham's understated style, he sucked me into the story. I was hooked. This book is great for anyone.

GRAY MOUNTAIN BY JOHN GRISHAM
I've been a John Grisham fan for years, but I was disappointed in this story. It was not a legal thriller but rather an issue book. The issue was real: strip mining by greedy companies who rape the land then leave an empty hulk behind for the inhabitants. It was difficult to believe a young, inexperienced lawyer was priming to take on big business when she could barely find her way around a legal office.
